I wondered that too. And will they get rid of Sheik as well? What of Ganondorf? Will he get replaced with that "thing" from Skyward Sword? So many questions.

With the huge disc space of the Wii U, I bet there will be a whole LOT of characters. I agree, keep third parties to a minimum, maybe four or five max.

For some reason, I think they should dump the playable third party characters into a DLC patch.

And not have them interfere with the story.

The main focus of Super Smash Bros is to "duke out with your favorite Nintendo characters."
