I prefer the circle thumb pad because the D pad is just a little too low for my thumb..

the D-pad directions are small so its hard to do combinations on it I prefer the C-pad |

The choice seems to be a delicate balance between comfort and accuracy. Usually if I'm playing offline, I use the C-Pad because it's more comfortable. If I'm playing online and winning means a bit more to me, I'll sacrifice the comfort for the more accurate D-Pad so I don't fuss up any of my combos.

C Pad for sure. It's a lot more accurate. |

The D-Pad, because I can't dash as much using the Circle Pad, and tend to mess up on it. xD;

It depends on you individual preferences. You could use them both like d for easy combos and dashes and circle for more complex.

You have to be holding you're 3DS right. If you hold it right, you can use both at one time.

I prefer the circle pad. Not just for SSF4, for any game. It just feels so much more comfortable.

On the console, I use the analog stick. But on the 3DS I use the D-pad, the C-pad is too sensitive for me, dashing makes me jump lol
