I bought the circle pad pro when I got revelations and I decided to not use it anymore. Its a really great ad-on but I hate not having my case on my 3ds and my thumbs are retarded so it makes me play with the side of my thumb if that makes any sense. Also people are saying that you NEED it for MGS which is completely false. It plays just like peace walker on the psp so that's anothee reason I'm not using it.

I want one. But haven't gotten to it yet.

Thought about getting one eventually, but I don't think I will after all. I never played Peace Walker, so the controls were weird at first, but I grew accustomed to them pretty quickly. I can even pull off head-shots from a good distance now. Anyone initially put off by the controls should try to get the hang of it a few more times. It's pretty awesome once you figure it out, and you get to save twenty dollars!

I use it.
It works great, makes the 3DS more comfortable, and gives me minor options that non-CPP users don't have.
Nothing against the PW controls though. I can use them just as easily.

I didn't like it with Revelaitons and took it off after half an hour and spent the next 35 hours without it. However, the MGS3D demo was nigh unplayable without it. Camera control with the ABXY buttons was horrible. The CPP made it much more agreeable for me. To the point where it made me reconsider not getting the game and being still interested.

But I still fundamentally dislike the CPP as an accessory.

Eh, it doesn't matter to me. At first, I was against it because the camera was too loose, but I felt the same thing with the ABXY camera control. I just set the sensitivity to 2 and it was perfect both ways.

I am playing without the CPP. Spent a lot of time with PW, so this control scheme is comfortable to me.

I've got the CPP, but I started playing the game without it. If I play MGS at work, I won't have the CPP, so better get used to not using it.

I actually feel more comfortable without the Circle Pad Pro. I've also never played Peace Walker.
