So here's the deal, I've owned four Nintendo 3DS's since launch date. My original was a Black 3DS which was broken in a nasty accident a few weeks after I got it (dropped, accidentally, out an open window by a cat's tail!)

My next 3DS was Aqua Blue, this was traded in order to obtain the Flame Red 3DS, just before the Ambassador programme was ending. I updated the system was quite happy being a member of the Ambassador scheme.

However, I fell on extremely hard times and needed to raise a lot of money for a family emergency in a short space of time, so I sold my 3DS to cover part of the cost - and got an excellent third party price for it as well since the console in that color hadn't been out that long. Missing my 3DS so much I purchased, about a month ago or so, a Black Cosmos 3DS - officially my fourth machine.

Now both my first and second machine were registered on the Club Nintendo website, as was every game I've ever purchased for 3DS (and the DS titles I also got during that time) so within a year I've been funding Nintendo quite a lot. Point is, that I really want to join the Ambassador Programme, but was wondering if there was still anyway to obtain that programme for my current console?

I have proof of purchase for two of my former consoles, purchased before the Ambassador scheme, and the consoles and games are all well registered before the Ambassador deadline....I have certainly spent my fair share on 3DS material during the 3DS's first year....so can I not be rewarded like everyone else? Is there someone I could contact who might be sympathetic? I've tried Nintendo UK and they almost hung up on me....

Could I meet someone with a 3DS on the Ambassador scheme and receive their games? Even if I agreed to do a full transfer?

Here's the biggest kick in the teeth...the original Blue console that I traded to get the red console about a year ago is now being used as a display model by the HMV store I traded it into. I know this because everytime I walk by the store I get a streetpass hit (from myself!!!!!) and what's more, if I could arrange to get the console swapped like for like...I could easily get back on the Ambassador scheme!

Unfortunately, the only way you can have the Ambassador status on your new system, is to have the old system that had the Ambassador certificate on it by your side. This is because you have to do a complete system transfer that also includes switching the SD card. So, unless you can locate the person that you sold the 3DS to that had the ambassador status, you are out of luck, unfortunately. The only other thing you can do, is try to find someone that is selling one with the Ambassador status already on it, and purchase it.

That really stinks! Sorry, but it's not possible. Getting Ambassador games really has nothing to do with when you got your console. It has to do with when you connected your 3DS to the eShop. If you connected it to the eShop before the deadline, Nintendo puts the Ambassador games in your "Previously Downloaded" section on the eShop. If you didn't, then they have no way to know if you got your console before or after the deadline. So even if someone wanted to help you, they couldn't.
It is possible to get the Ambassador games in a system transfer though. But how you'd get your hands on another Ambassador console is beyond me.

Sounds to me like your best hope would be to go to the HMV you keep getting a streetpass from and tell them that you sold them your old 3DS and would like to perform a system transfer to get your saves/Miis back or something along those lines, might be a good idea not to mention the ambassador status if you can help it. If your lucky they might let you, it's still kind of a long shot though.
