I change my mii all the time in Streetpass Plaza. I make seasonal miis for Christmas, New Year's, Australia Day, ect. Sometimes I make a new one to show off a new hat I received in Quest. Sometimes I change to a particular colour to help my husband with quest.

I think my husband has at least 15 miis in his plaza he has got from me. He, on the other hand, uses his first mii all the time unless I am stuck on one room in quest. He has one light blue and one yellow miis for those times and changes them back as soon as I am done.

I'm curious. Do you switch your mii around or keep it the same?

I keep my mii the same, but I change the region to "Venezuela, Zulia" from "USA, New York"

I only change my hair.

I change my hat, my hair, and occasionally my shirt color.

Just my hat.

I have the same Mii that I m made on Wii. Of course, it wont let you download it from your Wii to make your personal Mii, so I had to manually, by looking at him on the Wii, copy him. It was annoying. But I got it eventually.
