Default Is there any way Nintendo can fix a broken cartridge?

I had my 3DS in my bag the other day and my bag was hanging off my daughter's stroller. When my husband got my daughter out, the stroller had a bit of weight hanging off it and it fell over. My bag took the brunt of the fall.

I had Pokemon Black in the 3DS and I had to take it out and re-insert it a couple of times before the 3DS would register the cartridge again. If I gently shake it I can hear the insides moving now. I'm worried it will become completely broken, and as Pokemon is tied to the cartridge and the system, I really don't want that to happen. Does anyone know if I can send it in to Nintendo to get it fixed, or all my data transferred to a new cartridge? I had all my 3DS games in the bag, aswell, but I do not think any of them were damaged, thankfully.

I don't think anyone has ever tried it before, honestly. Email them, I'm curious. I seriously doubt it though.

Pokemon Black is tied to the console? What do you mean?
The only thing that is on the console is your friend code and online information for any Nintendo 3DS or DS cartridge.

I believe she means the Pokemon themselves, as they'd all be gone if the cartridge was broken.

If we can send in our 3DS for repair, maybe it's possible to send cartridges. not sure if anyone's tried it though.

Pokemon are not tied to the system. All of the Pokemon data is stored on the game card.

Do you have any friends/family with a DS or 3DS? If so ask if you can test your game on theirs to see if the problem is with your game or with your 3DS. (If you put the game in theirs and it works with their DS on the first try, the problem would be with your 3DS.) If the problem is with your 3DS, warranty might cover it. I've never heard of companies replacing broken games, but you could always call and ask.

If it works now you could upload your pokemon here
Pokécheck, the GTS stats checker
and then downloads them via
Pokémon Selector

What I meant by tied to the sytem, is when I first connected to Wi-Fi in Pokemon Black a message came up telling me not to connect the game to the net using any other system after that, making me think the game is now tied to my system and I shouldn't use it on another?

I have options for trying it in another system if that won't make it worse. I don't think it is my system (thank goodness!) because it is having no troubles with other games. Also Pokemon Black is the only cartridge I have that seems to make a noise. I am happy to pay to have it repaired, I just don't want to lose my data or start over if I don't have to.

Oh, you can connect online with other systems. All you have to do is set up the wifi again, no biggie. Idk what to tell you about repairs, I've never heard of anyone fixing games.
