| There are definitely some nuances I wish to point out. 1. A shop system. The merchant in RE4 and the shop in RE5 just killed the immersion for me. Honestly, having that merchant prance around the world like nothing was just ridiculous. Weapons need to be scavenged and found. In RE3 you literally had to collect parts which would later combine into a single weapon. I never realized why they deserted the whole ''finding weapons and ammunition from dead bodies, armory's, cabinets, drawers, lockers etc etc'' concept. I suppose finding resources in such a conventional way made too much sense. 2. I want them to cut down on the action and make the game more slow-paced and claustrophobic. By this I mean that I don't want a goddamn railroad shooter. They need to go back to the old maze-style RE where you collect different keys, solve puzzles and navigate through the environment with a limited amount of bullets, health, saves etc. 3. They to make the game scary by giving us very few bullets, ineffective guns and durable enemies. I'm talking about zombies that don't flinch when getting hit by gunfire. The problem with the plaga zombies, is that they are so easy to stop. Just shoot them in the leg and they're pretty much dead. A zombie will keep coming at you without flinching, especially in tight corridors on the ship... That's what the horror is about, if you deplete a magazine on this creature, you may not have enough bullets for the other zombie behind the door. 4. It would be nice if they added an option to turn off the over-the-shoulder view. Words cannot explain how I hate this view. What's wrong with the fixed camera angle? I thought it was really good and RE remake and RE0 show very easily that the classic formula of Resident Evil still works. In fact, those two games are probably the last good RE games to come out. That's about it for now. I'll probably edit something in later because I'm a firm believer that the current RE formula is an absolute disgrace to the originals. |

Well, i can confirm that the slow-paced progression and such is a go, Capcom has said it will happened, and that probably means they will give you less ammo and overall things you need to survive. But the Shop system, i don't really know. But we will probably never see a return of ''The fixed camera angles'' anymore, sadly :/ All the gameplay clips as only shown 3rd person, and Capcom ascent announced anything, so it's probably never happening. Added after 3 Hours 59 minutes: A huge Preview of Resident Evil: Revelations, it even got a screenshot that i haven't seen before! Resident Evil: Revelations - Modojo: Handheld and Mobile Reviews, Previews, Cheats, News, Games, and More He also confirm some imported things, so I'll write them down here: -Demo included with each copy of Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D -Built using MT Framework, the same tech behind Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition. -Takes place between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, just after Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine (the principle characters) co-found the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA). -Part of the game takes place aboard a luxury cruise ship, set within a violent storm. -You'll also explore a coastal town and crash site, set within a snowy mountain range. Europe appears to be the central location. -Less action oriented than Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. -Bigger emphasis on horror. Things jump out, there's a limited amount of ammo and you'll encounter a couple creatures at a time. -Game still uses the over the shoulder perspective from Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5. -You can move and aim at the same time, both in third and the new first person view. -Touch screen lets you adjust the camera. -Jill carries an automatic rifle with a bayonet attachment. -Cruise ship slowly pitches back and forth during play. -Monsters, while not confirmed, include a tentacle creature, a strange beast with a club like appendage and zombies. -From what we saw in the original E3 2010 teaser, Chris and Jill are after something. It's apparently so valuable that they point their guns at each other. -New character, possibly with an Australian accent, tied up on the boat. -Hunk from Resident Evil 2, or at least someone in similar gear, may make an appearance. -Story was written to appeal to longtime fans and newcomers. yeah bring on the classic RE gameplay (yeah but sadly no more fixed camera angle for new RE games) anyways the top of the shoulder view from Silent Hill - Shattered memories gives me creeps and really frightens, specially that in that game you dont have any weapons, you just run outside the nightmarish area, so maybe it can work also here (but i dont like the view from RE4 since it do not scares me), since it will be more slow paced and fewer ammos to be available. And i don't like also the shop thing. Why on earth will you sell ammos in a zombie apocalypse area where you can't get money after killing zombies, lol |

| If that's so... Then Resident Evil is not the series for you it seems, there changing back, and Operation Raccon city is the only action based now.

And about the co-op thingie... it can still be survival-horror even if there are 2 players playing the game as it was the case with Obscure 1 and 2. |
