me and my brother both have 3ds XLs we get street passes nearly every day but I am going on holiday but it is not another country or anything just a 3 hour drive to a caravan park it really is big but do you think anyone will has street pass on

I go to the local mall every Saturday morning. Today I got 7 hits which is pretty sweet (usually I only get 1 to 3).

Also a while ago I got a hit from someone from Brazil. The funny thing is there is no map for Brazil on the plaza world map - it just says 'no map' for Brazil.

On vacation in Charleston and I got a hit at Fort Sumter (site of the start of the War of Northern Aggression). I basically got a hit on a remote island in Charleston Bay that takes 30 minutes to reach by ferry. If you can get a tag here, you can get a tag anywhere. Can't wait to send photos via swap note to my friends.

Finally getting some streetpass again after none for the last 3 months or so. Been getting regular hits daily from a guy who works at an EB Games i pass most days. But what makes it sweeter is that i get 2 hits at once from him as he has 2 different models of 3DS, an Australian/New Zealand model & a US model. He even uses the same mii & profile on each system.

Nope! I just checked, but neither me nor my girlfriend passed you. I believe a ****load of people walked around maxed out at 10, I saw people with their 3DS literally everywhere but it still took at least 10 min before I maxed out at 10.

I just counted, got 66 hits in total.

I guess it could have been even more, but I wanted to play at least one on the new plaza games with each new ten guests.
Last year I managed to fill all puzzles, this year only four of the new ones as unfortunately many had no new pieces for me. But I got all pink pieces, so I'm happy.
Still, some don't seem to understand it. Ever so many had no pink piece at all?!

You might call the coin thing cheating, though the StreetPass Relay thing cannot be considered cheating. People in Japan get StreetPass hits like people with StreetPass Relays do. If after that fact you still call it cheating, you would be implying that if you want more StreetPasses you will have to go to Japan or someplace else.

Let one thing be clear though, I never tried to get you an infraction, was just trying to build some perspective, where do boundaries lie and what is a grey area. Check out this official Nintendo StreetPass picture:

It clearly does not use a car in the picture, though I agree it should not be cheating, but the way you are taking everything literally your car StreetPass would be considered illegal as well.

Biggest problem with the StreetPass drought for a lot of people not living in parts as where you live is that they simply cannot use Mii Plaza at all and that is a let down. If I would have lived somewhere with as many StreetPasses as you get, I would not use the home made Relay point as well. But the fact is, I do not live there and the new StreetPass games would only be anything remotely useful to me when I would go on vacation. So, I use the relay, call me a cheater or not, but I do not see it that way.

I agree, the coin "tricks" are cheating ... however, the limit is likely an attempt to reduce that kind of cheating and is not really that important on it's own right. The problem is that no matter what a game company does there are always going to be people who will find a way to cheat. To some people it seems they don't care about the actual challenge the games are designed for and think that "winning" the game is some status thing.

I can't stand cheaters, they are lowlifes, and not worth playing any games with even if it's not a game they cheat at. I wipe such names off my friends lists as soon as I find out, and everyone who actually enjoys gaming should.

As to the Streetpass thing ... you're probably correct in the notion you post here.

Got two yesterday from store demo units. Obviously someone dunderhead playing with the demo unit reset the Streetpass data on those units so the characters are back to being Level 1 on my Find Mii Quest. Right when I'm fighting a ghost with armor that can't be hurt by Level 1 characters.

Day started bad: The tram before mine was a little late, but as I was at the station already I got in.
A few station later: "Due to technical problems we have to ask the passengers to leave the tram".
The other one came shortly after, but was pretty full.

I got about 200 hits when I was in New York last week. I spent some time at Nintendo World the night before the Pokemon release and then stopped by during the release party on Friday night. (A total madhouse!) I also passed streams of Comic-Con goers every day.

I got 8 tags from a single street pass relay yesterday. Had to pick some lightbulbs up from Home Depot.

I get European tourists all the time at Disney and I'm pretty sure the have Brain Age puzzles.

Since the Streetpass relay started, I haven't had any luck with the McDonald's I go to. Tonight, however, I got 4 Streetpasses at once, plus another pass I got an hour earlier at Target. Completed my 7th puzzle and got tons of pink pieces.

I received like 50 hits on my cross country travel.

It says I have like 10 for MH3U and 9 for Pokemon but I don't know how to check or use them in game.

For Pokemon, you have to go in your Holo-cast, to see your news and it gives you PokeMiles!

You can redeem them for items on either the Global Link or in-game in some Pokemon Center (some guy on the left side of the center will exchange them). From the looks of the "PokeMileage Club" part of the Global Link site, more uses for Poke Miles will be available later on.

I got my first two hits yesterday. I live in a rural area and never get any hits but had to go to a nearby city yesterday for a doctor appointment. I took my 3ds and was able to get two hits during the trip.

I have no hits yet on my new XL. My old 3DS has several but I don't know if they transfer or not since I didn't transfer anything over before I gave it to my little cousin. Of course I used to be all about owning only physical copies of games so the only eShop games I lost were some virtual console stuff and some game saves, but I'm not too worried about that. Since I'm not into Pokemon or anything like that, I didn't lose anything that I can't easily get back. Heck, it might even bring new life back to some of my older games having to re-beat them... Unless physical games save to the game card, I don't know yet as I haven't tried playing any of them since I set up the new XL.

Trivial question, but I'm very curious about it anyway: how does somebody end up getting more people in their plaza than they have street pass hits? I got somebody today who has 73 Streetpass Tags with a Plaza Population of 259 and that makes no sense to me.

Through SpotPass. You'll get miis in your plaza from doing things like playing MK7 online, but you won't have street passed them. This can take up a lot of room on the SD card, but it's still nice. And kinda weird. You can turn it off through the Streetpass Mii Plaza settings, though.

well, I live in a German town called Aachen which is pretty small (250.000 citizens) but most of the population (about 1/5) are university students. There are more 3DS owners here than I had thought, still I am lucky if I have 4 StreetPasses a day....

I was at ACen this weekend, and C2E2 a month ago. I've always said conventions are the best place for streetpassing, but back a few years ago you at least had some breathing room to do other stuff. These days you can't even finish the plaza stuff for one group of Miis before the queue is filled up again. I checked the time stamps a bunch of times at ACen, and for a good stretch in the middle of the day there it was taking as little as three minutes to load 10 up into the queue, and never longer than ten minutes.

Just to walk around the dealer's room I knew I was passing up on dozens of streetpasses because I had my 3DS in my pocket and wasn't constantly clearing Plaza through.

Granted, part of the issue is that Monster Manor takes a long time to deal with. I'm almost done with it now and I'll be glad for it. But, clearly there's also just a lot more 3DS owners around these days. Nintendo's kind of created a monster. I mean, I didn't even buy a badge to C2E2, I just went there and hung around outside the dealer's area collecting streetpasses. I did buy an ACen badge, but I barely did anything there other than streetpasses. If the streetpassing was Nintendo's attempt at getting players to socialize, I think I'm doing it wrong, or missing the point or something. Except what I'm doing is pretty much exactly what the games themselves are asking you to do.
