kewl thing is i live with my girlfriend, and she has a 3ds too, so every day we get street pass from each other, and now on "find mii" her character is like lvl 5 already, because it appears as though you gain level's with every street pass.

I've gotten a couple, not including friends. The first was a random kid at my school (still don't know his last name; just his Mii and first name). The second was a trip me and my girlfriend took to our local mall. We walked around aimlessly trying to put our green LEDs to work. We finally got one as we were about to leave, walking past Gamestop. Probably an employee's. Come to think of it, any employee at a game store must get crazy amounts of notifications.
The randomness of it is insanely awesome. Seeing that thing light up always makes me happy.

This thread makes me sad because I haven't gotten any StreetPass hits yet. My wife and I are betting on when I'll get my first (random stranger that is). She is guessing E3, which would make me very sad as that's 2-3 months away. At least I know I'll rake 'em in while I'm there.

Wasn't really counting on it, and had the 3DS with me mainly for counting steps. But then, suddenly, I got this feeling that I might need to check my 3DS. And the green light was on!!! Contact's name was "yakumo" (which is not a regular name, here in the Netherlands - then again, neither is mine)... I have "3dsforums.com" as my greeting, but he (it was a male Mii) hasn't showed up as a member yet... |

My first hit was exactly the day after I got my 3DS. I recently just went to a festival and managed to rack up 40 different miis'. Seriously, every five minutes or so I would get another five people just as I was about to leave mii plaza.

I got 6 of them this afternoon, from just walking around the city for a couple of hours and visiting games stores.
My partner's got about 15-odd after just a couple of days because she works at a games retailer. I'm slightly jealous (okay, a bit more than slightly). Pretty awesome seeing so many Miis on the screen. More than I was expecting in a place like Perth, too. |

I got 7 Streetpass hits on campus today and they were all new people. Kinda bummed I didn't get any hits from people I've hit once or twice already. But at least this means SP activity is heating up on my campus. I also completed my first 3d puzzle!

I'm getting at least 2 or 3 hits a day now. Pretty cool and keeps me on a steady pace through the puzzles and find mii. Hope more people continue to purchase the system so that this feature can become more ubiquitous.

Excited about 1st streetpass tag
Went to the mall for lunch hoping to stalk some 3ds streetpassers. Haulin this thing around ending up with zeros has been depressing. Got two hits in just one mall trip! So excited. Figured it'd take quite a while being in Alaska but it feels good to have 2 on the board now! Stl interested to see if it can pass within a car when in traffic

So I FINALLY got a streetpass this week during spring break. I went to Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World and I got a total of 7 hits. I'm sure there were some people there that had wireless turned off, though. I saw a kid at the resort we were staying in who had one, but apparently he didn't have the wireless on. The bad part was that apparently he was French and didn't speak English so I couldn't tell him to turn it on...... >.<

I got my street pass 9 days after the launch date of 3DS in Australia. I was so frustrated and afraid that there might be something wrong with my street pass (I always brings my 3DS out with me ever since the launch date but no luck with street pass) but apparently the reason of not being able to get street pass is because no one had or take their 3DS in the suburb that I am living in. I happened to get the street pass while eating in a restaurant, I looked around to find the person with 3DS, but I didn't see anyone with 3DS. Maybe because they didn't take out the 3DS.

It's my two brother living in our house (Refering My Parent's House), and Guess What... (MY Older Brother: Street Pass: Met 20x, and MY Twin Brother: Street Pass: Met 26x times!) In Mii Plaza, "Find Mii" RPG, My Brother's Lvl is 7 (Max Lvl Limit), and passed many stage, and I did beat whole thing. Currently, we're playing the puzzle pieces, and spend our "Play-coins", and oh yes, I got one when I went to Gamestop to just ask if I could Pre-order Zelda: Ocarnia of Time 3DS, and they did it for me. It's reserved.

I casualty walked into an independently run game store, hoping 3DS games might be marginally cheaper.
The guy at the counter asked if I had my 3DS with me, then said "oh, well then you just got this guy and that guy". My first I got 2 people at the same time. I ended up getting a half-a-dozen more in the next hour. |

I've noticed my streetpass hits declining.
The first day I went to school I got like 10 hits. But that's only because I forgot you have to meet 10 of them first to meet more people. Here are the total hits I've gotten. 1st day: 10 2nd: 19 :O 3rd: 14 4th: 14 5th: 9 6th: 7 7th: 4 It seems like less and less people take their 3ds around or something

For those of you in the Bay Area, I highly recommend going to San Francisco Japantown Cherry Blossom Festival this weekend. You can easily get 20+ streetpasses at this event just by walking around. I got 3 just sitting in a restaurant eating lunch!

I walked into a best buy to purchase a headphone jack to tape cassette connector for my car (so I could play music off my 3DS on the car's speakers) And when I went home I saw I had a streetpass. Opened it up and it was ME! He was all like "Hi, I'm Nikko form the United States! UJGT!"
 I realized that my Mii from before the 3DS's release was being used in Streetpass, so past me and present me hit it off

International Street Passing
Took my 3DS for the 1st time on an international trip for work, curious to see how many SP hits I could get over 3 weeks of travel. Grabbed a Nyko extended battery and headed out.
PDX -> SFO -> Beijing. Nothing!!!! WTF. Not even in SFO airport. Bummer, figured I would have hit the jackpot. Beijing had nothing to offer, but that's understandable. But I hoped flying into Europe would at least get me a few. Beijing PEK -> Munich -> BCN Barcelona. Nothing again!!! Could be my fault, 3DS was all out of battery (forgot to charge), and died in Munich airport. But 6 days of Barcelona later, and I still haven't gotten a single international hit. Tomorrow heading back home (BCN -> Frankfurt -> Denver -> Portland), so I hope I can get at least a hit in Frankfurt before coming back to the States. |

I've had around 70 hits, 43 being with my girlfriend, 25 with my buddy, and the rest with 5 other random people from my college. I guess that's the good part about being a manager of the front line for the main student center kitchen. I get to be around hundreds of people a day. That's where I get my streetpasses from. I finally beat Find Mii entirely, including all of the hats.

I get most of my StreetPass tags from my local Gamestop. Two employees there carry there's with them. I also setup a Best Buy demo unit to StreetPass but somehow it got my Mii but I didn't get its Mii. Have to visit there again and see what happens.

Today I was out walking in a fairly busy town centre. No street passes at all. Even went into a Game store hoping they'd have their demo machine on. Nothing.
Then I went into a Costco in Derby (England) and saw they had a demo machine on display that was open to the Face Raiders menu. I looked at my 3DS and sure enough - Street Pass!! Whoot!! I checked my Mii Plaza when I got home and saw the Mii was the generic 'male' by the name of Costco. He was a lousy fighter, but at least I got a puzzle piece off him. LOL |

The more random hits have come from GameStop customers and employees and one random person in a mall. So far I've completed one Puzzle and one Find Mii playthrough with the help of StreetPass

So here's something interesting....
On Saturday we were grocery shopping and my wife says "Hey I think that kid has a 3DS. Maybe you'll get a StreetPass hit." Low and behold - No SP hit. So here's the deal: I had mine in my pocket in sleep mode and the kid had his out and was playing with a game. So either SP didn't work because he wasn't in sleep mode or he just simply doesn't have SP turned on on his system. So that stunk but oh well..... Then on Sunday we were out walking the dog and some other kid had his 3DS out and was playing with it for a minute. Then he put it in his pocket and started jogging down the street (in the same direction that we were going.) No SP hit here either..... Are people not turning on SP or am I just having bad luck connecting to people? I've had 2 SP hits in the last month and 1 was from the demo unit at Best Buy. I carry it everywhere I go. I mean everywhere. I understand that not a ton of people have 3DS's yet but come on people. If you've got one, turn on SP!!!

One of which I've confirmed as being a demo unit at a nearby game store. The other 2, not a clue - yet (haven't met them as often as the other one)... What I find most interesting, is that I DON'T get a streetpass when I expect one (like when I was trying to find that demo unit). I was pretty sure where the demo unit was, but when I tried, I didn't get a streetpass. Was back at the store a few days later (they've set up a "new" bargain bin), wasn't even thinking about streetpass, and had a hit when I came out of the store... |

I have 15 tags from 9 people... 6 of which were from demo units.
Had to set up Street pass on all my nearby Target stores demos... and named all of the Miis after monsters in Monster Hunter. :T As for the others...1 person came from someone in the mall... 2 came from the college campus. I've actually seen one of the guys with his 3DS out playing Ridge Racer, but I didn't want to bother him. Hoping to collect at least a few in NYC this weekend. |

I am currently at a third-world country with the highest taxes over video game consoles, where people can't read, let alone play games, at a city with less than a million people, I am not being able to walk long distances due to an injury and I don't take the public transport that often.
So that means I've given up on StreetPass for good. |
