Here's a bit of a silly question, but at what time does the eShop actually update? I'm on Central time, and I checked at mightnight and 1am (my time), and it was not yet updated. Will check again at 2am (in like five minutes).
Talking about the US eShop in my case, but I think it's a valid question for the European eShop as well. Inquiring minds want to know! I'm excited to see what the new releases are. |

I don't mean to be cynical, but you're not missing much. :/ I hate to be a downer when people are so excited about them, but... they're just trailers. Yes, they're in 3D and it's got kind of a "wow" factor, but....... I dunno. You just ain't missing much.
What blows my mind is that people have RATED the trailers. In order to rate something, you must spend 60 minutes or more "playing" it. How many times do you have to watch these trailers in order to be able to rate them? |

Okay that's it, I'm selling my 3DS.
One fan isn't gonna make a difference to them, but it will make a difference to me as I will no longer be wasting my money on disappointment. I'm not waiting 5 months to get another decent game (OOT being the only one at the moment) and I'm certainly not wasting money on black and white Game Boy games and shovelware. |

Don't be too hasty, mate! Nothing the shops like more than someone who sells systems and buys them back later.
There will eventually be plenty of good games.I feel you, though. I'm not sure what Nintendo thinks they're doing with the eShop, and, in my opinion, they ought to have waited until Zelda and the eShop were ready at least to launch the system, and they ought to have had some killer eShop stuff. But, that's that. These companies are run by people who understand money, not games. I for one will admit I know nothing about business. |

I used to have a classic GameBoy and I haven't even heard of some of the junk they're trying to sell back to us. I'd be excited for a Metroid title or more Kirby or Zelda games... or something good.

I think everyone should just chill. The E-shop has only been going for a month, and already we've had, mario, zelda, donkey kong and kirby. Not to mention 3D game trailers, a game and watch game plus a free 3D classic game.
Just be patient. We've got gargoyles story and mega man coming from Japan, a couple more 3D classics, plus Nintendo will probably release Kid Icarus on the gameboy the same time as the 3DS version comes out. Which will probably happen for other releases too. I dont want EVERY gameboy game out at the same time, or i wouldn't know what to play! |

Lots of negativity about the eshop in here...I've been pleasantly surprised so far by the GB stuff as I didn't think there would be much on there to interest me and have been proved wrong so far.
Qix is awesome, a classic game with timeless gameplay that a lot of people will totally miss out on. Anyone familiar with Fortified Zone? Looks interesting for the price but for all I know it could play like crap as I've never heard of it before. Kirby is interesting me as well, but I'm not particularly a fan of the NES version and it costs more than stuff like Qix and Fortified Zone. |

Any when we'll see the first 3DSWare on the eShop? I'm kind of itching for Tetris. I've got the DSiWare one, but I'm paranoid if I leave a DS title on standby, I'll miss a streetpass/spotpass (even though I haven't gotten a single one yet).

Actually, I think I remember having Game and Watch on Game Boy and really enjoying it. Guess I'll pick it up if it's the one I remember. Just glad there's SOMETHING that I want. Would like to have something to buy weekly! Hopefully Xevious, Picross, Golf and Gargoyle's Quest are on their way to the US soon. I wish they'd just give us a release list.

I bought most if not all eShop games ATM. If that stupid G&W thing comes to NA tomorrow I'll be pissed because I already got 3 of the games it offers for the DS system through the CN game(s) and watch games and one was downloaded form DSiWare. This may be the 1st eShop game I pass up.

I bought the Game and Watch Collection. It's a cool little set that I enjoyed as a kid. It'll be fun for short play sessions at the dentist or whatever since there are zero 3DSWare games at the moment.
I think the DSiWare game and watch games are totally different, but I don't know. I'm not really interested in them. As cool as some of the DSiWare stuff is, I hate how the system can't streetpass or anything in DS mode. |

Can anyone help i had a game and watch wheni was young that was mario. You had to dodge the bullets and it got quicker depending on level. Ive got them on the 3ds shop but that ones not there. Can anyone remember this one and if so did it have a specific name? Ta

No idea, but chances are it's in that Game and Watch Collection on the Viritual Console (1997 Game Boy release). The only one I had was Mario's Cement Factory or something along those lines.

No one knows until they reveal it. Ports do not need the extra time to announce, as it takes about a few minutes and maybe a few extra to plop a VC game in. They have announced 3D versions of Xevious and that Fighting game sometime. They don't give out exact release dates, since Satoru Iwata is trying to get them to stop trying to rush up a game to meet deadlines.

does Hearts Spades Eucher really support online play? On my DSiXL it is not listed for online play, nore does my DSi's description list online play, yet my 3DS lists online play.
on a DSi theres a way to see what DSiWare has online play, not listed there by the way. |

I appreciate the fact that the 3D classics actually require a bit of work rather than just firing out roms, but ?5.50 or whatever it is for Xevious seems awfully expensive for such an antiquated game. It looks nice (well...some of it does), and I've only really played the game very briefly in arcades or as a demo at the start of a Ridge Racer game, but the price has put me off a little bit.

Anyone else REALLY hoping we see Poke'mon RBY and Zelda Oracles of Ages and Seasons soon? Those were my favorite GB/GBC games back in the day.

Just had a go on Xevious 3D - hardly the best scrolling shooter, but it's ok - overpriced I know, but I quite like it.

Hmm, the 2GB isn't going to be big enough? I figured it would be enough for me for a while. I don't mind buying a bigger card tho. I'd actually like it if the games (3DS stuff especially) were larger file sizes since it doesn't have to be crammed into the on-board memory like DSiWare sadly does.

I can't confirm at all, but I'd be 90% sure they'd run the same as they do in Japan and NA. I think the only difference between territories is the lock-out as far as hardware itself goes. I think DS games were completely identical across territories (with exceptions of language and whatever other edits they made).

the lets golf game uses like 1540 blocks or something like that, and took longer than most other downloads to download. It's a nice game so far but the graphics are a B at the most.

The 3D is nice! I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out the nuances of the controls (no tutorial?), but it's not too different from Hot Shots or Mario Golf. I think it's okay for $6. I didn't figure it'd be as good as Hot Shots or Mario, but I wanted some golf, and it was shiny and new and 3D, and I don't really regret it. Maybe if it gets terrible reviews I'll think, "I wish I wouldn't have bought it."
It seems to take some of the worst elements of Hot Shots, like the way we "Americanize" the Japanese game (Hot Shots) and make it about as dorky as Extreme Wipeout Challenge or whatever that show is called that we stole from Japanese TV. You'd think Nintendo would want to publish some 3DSWare. |

It's kind of lame that Nintendo doesn't put out a press release announcing what's coming for NA.
That said, wasn't that Game Boy Pac-Man pretty well received back in the day? I'd buy that for $3 or whatever. Worrying that there isn't more 3DSWare and that the Virtual Console seems so sparse. Guess we'll have to see what NA gets. I'm still kind of wanting Golf and Picross. DEFINITELY wanting Gargoyle's Quest. |

It would have been nice if they'd done the Donkey Kong Game Boy game with a "Super Game Boy" option, too. I can't believe they didn't. I played that game a lot on my Game Boy Pocket back-when, but I also played it on my Super NES via the Super Game Boy, and it had a ton of enhancements.

Have there ever been theories as to why Nintendo puts out such crap for downloads? Are there problems with licensing keeping them from releasing good stuff when they want to and forcing stuff like Fortified Zone and Avenging Spirits out? With the strong start we got with Donkey Kong (even though it had no Super Game Boy mode) and Zelda DX, I thought they'd release stuff I cared about. Generally anything first-party is going to be superior to what we've gotten so far.

Pretty cool! This is all for Europe, though, right? I'm sure NA will catch up eventually. It's just odd they don't have a release schedule for NA the way they do for Europe. Maybe Nintendo thinks Europe cares more.

Aw, okay. Well NA should be getting them too then, I'd imagine.
I think Nintendo chooses games for "3D Classics" based upon their potential for 3D, not their gameplay value. Or a mix of both, I don't know. They make some incredibly bizarre decisions when it comes to the games they're putting out on the VC. I thought maybe they'd've learned from their mistakes on the Wii, but I dunno. Or maybe the Wii VC started out better than this? |
