My god these forums are full of duplicate threads galore. So so messy.
Well anyway, looking back at it, that press conference was basically just a refresher / reminder /confirmation of stuff that was already out. That WiiU controller looks so awkward, I hope its not the case in person. Whats cracking me up right now is how many people think WiiU is just a controller. Even tho they STRESSED its not a handheld device, it syncs to a console, and the Wii definately can not drive the sort of power in the tech demos they showed. That and just about every developer mentioned power of the new console and controller. |

I liked it
Microsoft bored me to death with dull games (except mass effect 3 and tombraider) and showed of literally NO exclusives that looked even remotely appealing to me Sony introduced a lot of games that looked interesting and playstation vita was amazing to learn about. Then there is Nintendo, who, I say, easily bested Sony with great 3DS games, and WiiU. This year I would say the placement goes 1. Nintendo gets an A 2. Sony gets a B+ 3. Microsoft gets an F |

I'm going to mainly focus on Nintendo, since that was what I was watching for.
The new system really kinda surprised me. The Wii U controller was what I thought it was going to be, but I was confused at first about the whole "console" issue. Concerning the games, I really loved every one of them. Luigi's Mansion 2, Super Smash Bros., and the Pokedex 3D surprised me, but I was really excited for all of them. The AR compatibility with Kid Icarus: Uprising wowed me as well. Overall, I would give this year an 8/10. The games that were made and announced made me shake with excitement, and the new console gave me something to look forward to. |

- Super Smash Brothers 3DS: Yay! The first 3DS-related good news in ages!
- Wii U: HD (finally... Welcome to the previous generation!) But otherwise just another Wii with a gargantuan GBA as a controller - Other than that: Major MEH (Mario, Kid Icarus, Luigi... a big predictable first-party yawnfest with all the franchises we've already been playing for three generations at least). |

- Seems you slept over the Wii U part too. I believe they showed the gameplay of Wii U games and some of the graphics weren't Wii capabilitis. |

Microsoft presentation was ruined by a millions of Kinect childish games or should I say casuals.
I can't tell a lot about Sony, because I slept over it. Nintendo was fine. I didn't really expect the new console, since for me it was too early. After all, Nintendo consoles always was the last one ito be ntroducded(N64, Gamecube, Wii). The 3DS part was good. Eshop is awesome, announced game titles are awesome. By the way, someone needs to update the Luigi's Mansion 3DS thread and Super Smash Bros. 3DS. Quote:

nothin mind blowing. I wish sega would announce a new console out of nowhere and blow everyone's mind, coz this e3 to me quite dissappointing compared to last year. I bought a 3DS coz of the hype from last e3 2010, and I am still in this forum coz of the hype from last year's e3. I dont know why but i can remember very well of nintendo's press conference last year like it happens just yesterday. again, this years e3=meh, nothin totally unexpected/mindblowing.

I think Sony did the best, but E3's not over yet. Nintendo simply didn't have enough new stuff; I think Sony managed to best them in that regard (Bioshock for Vita, etc.). That amazing price for the Vita helped, too. Hopefully we see some more from Nintendo before the week is over.
I almost forgot about Microsoft's conference there. They came in a distant third for sure. |

I think the Sony presentation was the best; not simply because of Vita, but their whole presentation just had an all around better feel to it. Nintendo's was pretty good as well. Wish there had been more 3DS stuff, but the Wii U looks nice. Microsoft's presentation was laughable.
