Kurtiss, if you tag the video with this little tag: yt3d:enable=true , it gives the viewer a pop up menu to choose their type of 3D. Here's a how to: 3D Content : Getting Started - YouTube Help

Seeing as how I, too, don't have any 3D glasses, I'd love for you to upload one with that tag.

Thanks lol but I have a feeling I did it wrong, my friend said the cross eye isn't working for him. I can't view in cross eyed so I wasn't sure if the settings I were using was okay, can someone verify if the cross eyed is working or not?

Also, I know it's squished and it might be really hard lol in my next videos the resolution will be fixed!

Yep! I deleted all my other videos lol I'm trying to get the 3D settings on youtube to work perfectly so everyone can use it.

If this attempt doesnt work then I'm going to be uploading a bunch of small file sized videos and try to see what the best settings are to get the best 3D effect on my videos. Once I've mastered that I'll be uploading tons of 3D videos of Nintendo 64 games, gamecube, and even some wii games! (:

It's really difficult for me to get the "perfect" settings for cross eyed 'cause I can't do it myself.

That's why I haven't been posting a lot of cross eyed, it would be annoying always uploading cross eyed videos than find people complaining because it's not working

It does work. The difference between 3D TVs is that you can use 3D without colour loss. So using red and blue glasses will effect colours but using glasses similar to the Real D 3D you get from theaters only slightly dims the colours. (This is why the 3DS is going to look good because nothing is interferring - full bright colours) The type of 3D that is used here works on ALL screens. This is why there is a 3D option on YouTube.

You mean cross eyed? Just press 3D on the player press Change and choose No 3D device. I know, YouTube made it harder for people to select and switch options. They're not the brightest developers.

Lol, I don't have 3D glasses, so the only way I could get a little bit of something to look at (which I'm not sure genuinely worked anyway) was by going cross-eyed and sticking my face up against the screen. XD My eyes kept slipping back to normal focus, so it didn't work too well. :P

I think the SMG2 one might be the best one yet. You can really get that sense of depth when you look of into the distance to see other planets.

I use an emulator and a driver called iz3D. It renders the game 2x and you have full control of the seperation and convergence, I have to play around with it a lot to try and find the perfect 3D settings. I try to place the convergence somewhere in front of the main character to make a pop out and depth 3D feel.

Starfox! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better. I'm so happy I got some red/cyan glasses recently so that I could find out how much better cross-eyed looks!

And I thought I was having a hard time waiting for Starfox 3DS before...

So, if I understand correctly, the driver you are using can render anything you can play in 3D? Even SNES or NES games, which aren't 3D? Or is that part wrong? Because if you can do SNES games... I'd love to see Yoshi's Island or Starfox... Or, if you could find them, perhaps you could do one of Starfox 64 with Hi-Res textures? It might look a lot like the 3DS one will!

Also-- and I apologise if this has been asked before-- but what 3D method do you use to view the videos while recording them, if any? (I don't think I could play a game cross-eyed...)

In my opinion, this thread should become a sticky. It keeps getting updated and is relevant to the interest of most, if not all, people here, and it would be nice if it was easy to find.

@Cub - The driver will only work with games/emulators that use directx 9 and up.

OpenGL requires a quadbuffer GPU which I don't have. Which is why I'm having a very hard time making DS games in 3D because most DS emus use a custom renderer or OpenGL.

I don't think it will work with NES/SNES games because of the way it works. I will have to give it a try and see. I'll use Hi-Res textures in my future videos for now on.

When recording I use Side By Side with the 2 images swapped. I have to swap them because Side by Side isn't the same as Cross Eyed. Cross Eyed displays as Right Eye - Left Eye and Side by Side displays as Left - Right. The reason I record in side by side is because it will take advantage of the entire screen. If I record in cross eye the video will become very thin like "super widescreen" where the image is so small there's no point in even watching rofl.

When I play a game, if its for about 30 minutes, I'll use the cross eyed method. (I've been getting a lot of practice with all these videos :P) But if I plan on playing for like an hour or two I'll use my Red/Cyan glasses.

I wasn't sure if I should sticky it because I thought people would think I was abusing my power and just wanted more views. :P I guess I can sticky it if everyone's okay with it.

I agree, they do deserve to be seen.

By the way, just a heads up to those who can't do cross eyed, I accidentally set the convergence too close to Fox so the ship might not look like it has depth. In cross eyed it will be perfect. Reason being, in anaglyph (glasses) the colours will be too close to the model so some people may not experience an effect with it.

When you do cross eyed do you see the image but it's a little blurry? If you wear normal glasses you should wear them during cross eyed 3d and see if it works :P

Is it for a certain video? 'cause I recently changed my method of 3D and I have a feeling it may be to hard 'cause now I'm seeing people write comments like "ow it hurts my eyes but looks great" XD But the 3DS could cause pains after like 4-5 hours, I'm guessing.

I'm not sure but someone told me you can go to Blockbuster and can buy them at the front desk for a buck or something. But I'm not sure about this.

You can also find some on amazon: Amazon.com: red cyan 3d glasses

And check out your DVD collection, see if you have any 3D movies that may have some 3D glasses inside them.

I always have trouble staying crossed eyed. I use the "Parallel" method, or "un-crossing" your eyes. Quoting the help statement provided by Youtube.

If you use the parallel method and it's set to Cross Eye mode then the images are on the incorrect side and the background will seem like it's popping out instead of the object infront of it.

The 3DS will be better because it can have a larger separation of both images. I can't do this with my videos because people who use Anaglyph glasses (red/cyan, etc) will have trouble viewing the videos in 3D.

I might make a video with a very large separation just so people can see how amazing it looks. (Of course anaglyph users will have trouble but people who use the cross eyed method or have a 3D monitor/TV will be able to view it just fine.)

You can do it with cross eye method. At the bottom of the video where it says 3D select other options and you can set it up so all videos (with 3d) will be set up for cross eyed method.
