I googled this topic, seems like no one else asks this. If there's already a thread to this, please post a link! (I don't want to be breaking the nice forum's rules..)
I just got my 3ds, and it seems great! The buttons are clicky. I don't see any black screen of death so far. The hinge is slightly lose when it's open, but not when it's close. It was open and on display when I got it (the last one in the store), and no scratches problem. I'm making sure to put a piece of cloth between the screens just in case though. ![]() It seemed like the perfect(as in wonderfuly great) 3ds (despite not the color I really wanted. Well I still love it anways), till I got home and connected to the internet for updates. It connected ok to the internet, with full bars. But when I tried updating it, it loads really slowly and somtimes after a several minutes it stops and and had an error. I'm thinking my problem is with the connection, as we live in an apartment and we pay for internet from our next door neighbor. I'm also thinking it might be because internet is slow at night, and that was when I was updating (this forums were slow at night too for me) Is it possible though, that it has something to do with the 3ds itself? What do you think I should do? I'll try updating it in the day and see if it works.. |

I tried updating it today, it was about 1/4 done before the error show again. I noticed when I am not looking, the bars do go down.. I'm pretty sure it's the distance of the router and the room, so I'm going to my neighbor's apartment to do the system update there. If it does not work, I'll go somewhere else to do the update there. |

Don't worry, the exact same thing happened to me when I tried to do the update. It didn't work several times and then worked perfectly fine after a few tries. Try again and I'm sure it'll work eventually, nothing wrong with your 3DS I think.
