Default 3D Camera Video

If Nintendo World stays in Japan, which I'm really not sure if it will or won't, but if so it would be really cool if somebody brought a 3D Camera with them and took a video and posted it on Youtube so we can all see the 3D of the real 3DS.

he meant record the 3DS with a 3D camera
which would only work with some 3D cameras positioned perfectly aligned with the pixel split

@nicnec7

You should change in your sig "Getting in 3D" to "Hopefully getting in 3D" Since NONE of those titles have been announced as being converted to 3D. Also, if Link's Awakening is being released on the VC, then its most likely NOT being released in 3D.

I dont think recording it with a 3d camera would be the same as seeing it with your own eyes.

I'm sorry, but did you just say Ocarina of Time 3D is not a confirmed title? Where have you BEEN all this time!!?!?!?!?!?!
Granted, the Virtual Console probably will not be in 3D, and the Oracle games are not confirmed...

Nah, that was a mistake on my part. The other 3 other than OoT is what I was referencing.

The VC games have not been confirmed to output in 3D. Thats what I am saying. Also, Im pretty sure it was said that developers dont HAVE to make a game make us of the 3D effect. So, potentially, there COULD be retail releases that are not in 3D.

Yeah, no point of it. The effect won't be anything special. And 3D cameras are super expensive.

If you start up a DS game on the 3DS, does this automatically mean 3D effect on DS games?

I dont think so, therefor releasing VC titles can be basically with or without 3D effect. It really depend on what nintendo wants with it.

I remember that nintendo stated, that the VC games where overal going to support 3D effect tho.

Anyway, this doesn't mean that company's directly get a free ticked, to develop 3DS games ( with the 3DS tag onto it ) while not using the 3D effect.

Nintendo still needs to approve the games that get released for there system.

And this is probably done with a big list of requirements, where 3D effect is probably 1 of the high rated ones.

Actually, you don't need glasses for 3D YouTube videos. Roll-over the "3D" icon, click the Red/Cyan (Change) icon that comes up. Then you can choose if you have a 3D TV/Monitor that's connected to your computer, or if you'll use the cross-eyed method. That is, cross your eyes and force them to focus and it'll pop out to simulate 3D.

And he did a horrible job with that video too lol. The 3D is barely noticeable.

LOL FREDDIE WONG

It's not a real game though. And, like Kurtiss just said, the 3D wasn't that great.

I hope someone does record in 3D. That would be great. It would be sort of obvious that you're recording though (I dunno if you're allowed to record what's on the 3DS) but you would have to keep the camera right in front of it or adjust the lenses so that the lenses are in the view zone (or whatever the hell you call it) so that the 2 images will show up in each lenses, then post it up on youtube, add yt3d tags, gain views, profit.

You don't have to even buy a 3D camera, just an attachment.
Spoiler!

How well does that work btw? I'd expect the lenses to be a bit further apart.

Guys, I can do it. I mean my sister has the same exact camera as our family camera, I can just record a short video with the cameras side by side.

I'm not sure how well it works, but I as well expected the lenses to be farther apart. I think David was looking into buying a similar attachment.

Daaaum. That little thing is worth almost as much as the rumors indicate the 3DS will cost.

Still cheaper than a 3D camera, I suppose.

hmmmm, lets think about it

3D source > captured by 3D camera > User views the 3D video captured > User will be able to see the exact original 3D source????

A little bit hard to achieve, I don't remember watching a 3D video which includes 3D source in it (like another 3D screen in the 3D video)
Because it will be like another 3D layer in the already 3D video!!!

But thinking about it more, the 3D camera does what your eyes do, 2 lens = 2 eyes
So if your eyes can see 3D ---> 3D camera can do that ---> maybe you can see what the 3D camera sees?!?!?!?!?!

Im confused now....lets wait and see

If it's not right in the sweet spot, it'll look a bit blurry, and you'll start to lose the 3D effect. Basically, the same thing that would happen if your eyes were to move away.
