^I think all the weird gory stuff was another representation of ''breaking the ice'' with one another and as they got deeper into the relationshipy talk, their bodies or ''ice'' broke more. When the guy asked her out, no more ice (a.k.a. that Black Hole)

As usual, I do like to read reactions/responses. Do share if this is your first time seeing it.

Yes. It reminds me of that god-awful movie.

Spoiler!

Seriously the worst movie I have ever seen. We couldn't help but to laugh while watching that utter crap. The main difference between that comic and this movie is that the comic has dialogue that actually forms a thought.

If you have not seen the movie. Please do. And tell me what you learned from it.

I've seen my fair share of David Lynch, my favorite being Blue Velvet - Not for its content, but for the experiences it's presented to me. I do recall a friend of mine wanted to impress his girlfriend by watching Blue Velvet instead of going with us to The Hangerover (I think), and his plan backfired completely. She broke up with him the next day, I believe, and that's not the only couple I know that that movie has separated.

Though it's not just Blue Velvet, David Lynch films aren't things you just watch for the sake of watching.

Anyway, I'm guessing something about the comic disturbed you considering you compared it to Eraserhead.

Just reading a "summary" of that movie- if it could really be summarized- creeped the hell out of me. Surreal horror is not something that scares me, but it's something that I have a rather visceral negative reaction to, like if a spider dropped on my neck and I only noticed now. It's unusual, though, because I've ventured into a little bit of surrealism in my poetry and I've even wrote some surreal horror of my own. Maybe it's the bodily mutilation that gets me; I've never written anything resembling it, and I can't say I plan to.

"Well, I was weighing the relative merits of embarrassed silence against opening the floodgates and drowning you in a wave of verbiage." I love the comic, though, mostly because I could totally see myself saying something like this to my girlfriend.

Wii U news?

And I'll reply to this:

It's close to what I have. I think it's supposed to be a representation of how connecting with someone, on the train or the bus, can consume you. Notice how everything disappeared at the moment the train stopped at his destination, and then reappeared the moment he decided to stick around. It's an odd illustration of how making little connections with people can potentially take you entirely for the course of the ride.

And returning to the panel of the guy getting off the train - Notice where he would have ended up. It's like a purgatory; an oblivion of sorts. I think this illustrates how deciding to leave early can ultimately be the end of these types of interaction, leaving you regretful that you could have said more.

I've been enjoying my みんなのリズム天国全曲集 (Minna no Rhythm Tengoku) soundtrack lately, so I thought I'd share through Bloozetunes. Don't expect me to chat 'cause I'm busy studying and stuff, but I have disc 4 up for anyone interested.

That's the most obvious one. Well to me at least.

And the ones with the sine graphs are pretty simple too.

Such a weird coincidence. A random picture from some person on the internet and Renta is in it.

Alright Santa Destroy, question time!

How often do you actually respect other people's opinions? And to simplify this question, keep religion and politics out of the question.

Personally I love to read and listen to other people's opinions. They help to define who people are, and sometimes they can be pretty hilarious (I'm looking at a lot of you people on the forums!). Sometimes though, I do have to make exceptions. People who base their opinions off non-truths they've heard on television or read off some random article are the type I confront - Especially online. I'm also slightly irritated when people can't justify their opinions on certain matters. It's especially annoying when I discover that a person simply took another person's opinion as their own.

So, how about you guys?

I tend to respect other peoples' opinions but what I can't stand is when someone's opinion is based upon misinformation.

Oh, yeah, I also hate opinions that are overly dramatic/sensational like, "Nintendo am DOOMED. Vita will FAIL."

It gets really annoying.

Okay, this thread doesn't belong in page 2 so I'm bumping it... with free music!

If you liked that, you can download it for free over here and give the other released Journeys a listen as well. So far, only three Journeys are released with Journey 9 being the latest release. Personally, my favorites in descending order would be Journey 3, Journey 9, then Journey 5.

I'm assuming I'm the only one who bothered getting this. I actually got this for the soundtrack, and the whole set was only $50, so it was a steal. And now that I'm playing it, it's actually pretty fun.

I'd need to do some ripping first, and I spent the whole day looking for a dumb turkey >_>"

So no, I won't host a session tonight, but I will do so some other time. But on the subject of turkey, what's everyone's plans for Thanksgiving Day? I'll be spending mine with my roommate's family since my parents are going someplace else during that day.

Didn't mean today exactly. But any day you were up for it.

As far as thanksgiving plans go. My boss gave me the day off. Which is extra cool because I haven't had a holiday off since I got my promotion. I'll be spending it with my family.

Of course people in Santa Destroy have cats.

Anyway, I just returned from shopping and picked up a scanner plus some movies. My legs hurt from standing around and walking so much D:

I love you guys for the pictures~

Anyway, I know most of you hate my K-Pop fandom and all, but I wanted to post this since a certain topic in the ChatBox reminded me of it. Article:
Tiffany of SNSD’s white shorts: hot or too short?

Basically, Tiffany of SNSD, gets criticized for her shorts being "too short," and therefore "inappropriate" for the stage. You can actually see these shorts over here, but the article should have that picture up as well as others.

So how about you all? Are any of you offended by super short shorts and consider them too obscene? Better yet, have any of you ever thought something to be too inappropriate to wear out in public?

Personally, I think the Netizens who criticized Tiffany are overreacting. Actually this isn't the first time they've complained about girls showing some extra skin, so I don't take their opinions on that matter too seriously.

They're short, but I don't really see a problem with it. It seems they are over reacting. Then again I'm not sure whats going on over there, things like that may be taboo.

They're just short shorts. Don't see the problem. If she was wearing only a thong out in public, then they'd have a point.

Hmm, okay let's away from her.

If you had a girl (you know as a parent or something), would you be against her wearing anything in public?

It's just another "Women should be indoors/kitchen" thing.

If I had a daughter, she can choose what she wants to wear (assuming she's an adult). If it looks skimpy, I would not like it, but wouldn't ridicule her for it.

Depends on the age, I'd guess. I wouldn't care if she's 18+.

Kind of hard to say though since I don't have a daughter.

I guess I'm done with my New Year's card. Should I add anything more? How's your card SRT? I had a difficult time doing the dragon because there were a couple of ways I could draw it (you can actually see an outline of a dragon there), but I stuck with that and felt it looked okayish.

I haven't even started my nengajou. I still have a week or two.

Because dragons are hard to draw I'm starting to think I should just draw Ryu from Street Fighter or Ninja Gaiden, and just be all like "ohhh, you meant THAT kind of ryuu."

Avengers, Avengers, Avengers...

Well Osborn is back with a second team of Dark Avengers, consisting of Skarr, Barney Barton as Hawkeye, Superia as Ms. Marvel, Gorgon as Wolverine, two people I don't know posing as Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch, and later Ragnarok. Besides the two unknowns, this is a pretty solid line-up.

On the other side, Steve Rogers is enlisting a new mainline Avengers team, which is mostly left unchanged. With Thor now dead, and Wolverine and Spider-Man out, we've got Storm, Vision, and Quake taking their places. Iron Man, Hawkeye, Red Hulk, Spider Woman, Protector, and Maria Hill are still in though.

I still prefer the New Avengers team over the others though. They've got Dr. Strange, Squirrel Girl (as a nanny), and Daredevil. They've also got two members of Future Foundation and the Luke Cage family. A pretty fun bunch.

let's stfu about reflection ****

So Mario Kart. It's 10:00 pm on Saturday, right? My parents are at a hockey game, so they can't drive me to Walmart to get Mario Kart 7 at 12. Me, because **** paying for driver's ed, can't just drive to Walmart. So I get my ghetto bike and ride along for around 45 minutes.

Oh, and before this, I called to "confirm" that Mario Kart 7 was releasing on Sunday. The employee took ten minutes on the computer, leaving me with glorious static and typing. Finally, he's like 'yeah, we're selling it tonight. I just checked the stock, and it's ready to go.'

So then I arrive after 45 minutes of biking. I planned on asking the employees if they could sell it just a tad early, and if not, I had 3D Land and MKDS. They said no, they'd get fined or something, so I started playing 3D Land. After like 10 minutes, I went up to them again and asked 'so uh, do I just come up to you guys when it's 12, or what?'

Then the male of the two replied, 'you know, let me go check to see if we even have it ready.' So he goes to the backroom for around 12 minutes, comes back, and says, 'man, I'm really sorry, but we don't have it. The shipment is late.'

This mother****er called himself a gamer to my face. Did I mention he didn't even know the game existed before I told him? He's all like, 'for the Wii?' If this crap happened with Skyrim, they'd lose their goddamn minds. This is going to be the best-selling 3DS game.

But really. So I rode back. Then, since the store I work at that's only 15 minutes away on bike's shipment was late as well, I had to traverse on bike, once again, 45 minutes to Target, and wait for them to open at 8 am.

But then I started playing and it was worth the three ****ing hours of bike travel in less than 12 hours.

:>

I'm not familiar with Atlus' localization patterns, so I was just wondering.

Persona 4 sold rather well outside of Japan if I recall correctly. There's no overwhelming reason not to localize it again.

Scratch that, Persona 3 sold well while Persona 4 didn't meet initial sales expectations. I don't think that would stop Atlus from sending this over though. I believe the reason why Persona 4 didn't sell as much was because it was sold on the PS2 rather than on the PS3. Basically, the idea was that it was on a last generation console, so why bother getting it?

Atlus is really good when it comes to localization. Have you played P3P, Bar?

Also, love the comic. Did a bit of self reflecting after I read it.

Conclusion: I am doing nothing with my life. Don't be surprised if I suddenly become inactive.

The flame/poison/dark/light rooms aren't awful now thanks to recruiting past heroes. You can select one (or two) of the right color as the first in your party and clear out the room asap.

As far as my progress in Find Mii 2:

Spoiler!

Puzzle Swap 2, on the other hand, isn't going so well. I have, like, 3 OoT 3D tiles and I have no idea how I'm ever gonna get the pink tiles. Oh well.

How is Pushmo? You guys recommend it?

Also, are the sprite-modeled levels actually fun to play, or do they just look nice?

It's a bit varied.

Captain Falcon was fun to do. Crobat was frustrating.

Some puzzles seem to be doable only if you approach them a specific way while others are bit more lenient. I'd recommend it mostly because of the ability to get more puzzles with the QR function. You can save up to 90 of them it seems.

I'll also add that you can't share any puzzles unless you've actually beaten them yourself, so none of the ones you find should be impossible.

EDIT: Did the Samus and Kyle Hyde puzzles. Attempted Air Man, but gave up on that one. D:

It's already made me hate HotelSoap!. Anywho, I don't usually do anything for Christmas, but my rich aunt and uncle are throwing a dinner so that's where I'll be.

OMG cgkrazz just found Santa Destroy and how funny it is! Everyone celebrate!

And I agree, I don't just give my hamertag to random people. Creepers.

EDIT: I need to find a good thread to post this on.

I guess Santa Destroy will have to do!

In other news, my vacation was awesome. Gotta love Switchfoot in concert and getting a signed CD!

I don't really care about the rating otherwise I would have rated it myself to fix it. I was just curious to see why the rating suddenly dropped.

Well I actually just came by to post this:

Editorial: 'I'm tired of saving the world' | Joystiq

Found this article interesting. I pretty much agree with everything he said. I'm not exactly tired of saving the world from saving the world from some super-powered scientist, but I would like to see some other ideas explored. I'd like to see more games where I could actually relate to the avatar I'm controlling. Very few games have made me think, I know that feel bro.

What do you guys think?

Also beat Borderlands again recently, and was reminded about how awesome the credit music is

Saving the world stories are boring and overused. I recall thinking Tales of Vesperia would have an interesting story, but ultimately it was a save the world kinda thing.

Mouse-writing isn't particularly my forte.

(and anyone who's seen my SwapNotes knows that my actual handwriting is awful too)

As a child I actually learned to write by myself before anyone could teach me so I never learned to hold a pencil the "right" way so instead I write like a slightly-educated neanderthal.

I haven't even tried to 3 star anything. Mainly because the AI is bloody annoying. Also, Blues you should add me. I'm pretty good.

I kinda ignored SwapNote after I got swamped with them like two weeks ago.

It still has a blue dot on it, and I'm afraid to open that app.

I have 2 stars on every 150cc race. Even if I get 1st in every race it's still 2 stars.
And yeah, I'm scared to open my swapnote too.

I just want to post some violent gun stories that happened pretty recently

Quote:

Okla. Woman Shoots, Kills Intruder: 911 Operators Say It's OK to Shoot

A young Oklahoma mother shot and killed an intruder to protect her 3-month-old baby on New Year's Eve, less than a week after the baby's father died of cancer.
Sarah McKinley says that a week earlier a man named Justin Martin dropped by on the day of her husband's funeral, claiming that he was a neighbor who wanted to say hello. The 18-year-old Oklahoma City area woman did not let him into her home that day.

On New Year's Eve Martin returned with another man, Dustin Stewart, and this time was armed with a 12-inch hunting knife. The two soon began trying to break into McKinley's home.

As one of the men was going from door to door outside her home trying to gain entry, McKinley called 911 and grabbed her 12-gauge shotgun.

McKinley told ABC News Oklahoma City affiliate KOCO that she quickly got her 12 gauge, went into her bedroom and got a pistol, put the bottle in the baby's mouth and called 911.

"I've got two guns in my hand -- is it okay to shoot him if he comes in this door?" the young mother asked the 911 dispatcher. "I'm here by myself with my infant baby, can I please get a dispatcher out here immediately?"

The 911 dispatcher confirmed with McKinley that the doors to her home were locked as she asked again if it was okay to shoot the intruder if he were to come through her door.

"I can't tell you that you can do that but you do what you have to do to protect your baby," the dispatcher told her. McKinley was on the phone with 911 for a total of 21 minutes.

When Martin kicked in the door and came after her with the knife, the teen mom shot and killed the 24-year-old. Police are calling the shooting justified.

"You're allowed to shoot an unauthorized person that is in your home. The law provides you the remedy, and sanctions the use of deadly force," Det. Dan Huff of the Blanchard police said.

Stewart soon turned himself in to police.

McKinley said that she was at home alone with her newborn that night because her husband just died of cancer on Christmas Day.

"I wouldn't have done it, but it was my son," McKinley told ABC News Oklahoma City affiliate KOCO. "It's not an easy decision to make, but it was either going to be him or my son. And it wasn't going to be my son. There's nothing more dangerous than a woman with a child."

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (AP) — Police shot and killed an eighth-grader in the hallway of his middle school Wednesday after the boy brandished what looked like a handgun and pointed it at officers. It turned out to be a pellet gun that closely resembled the real thing.

Fifteen-year-old Jaime Gonzalez "had plenty of opportunities to lower the gun and listen to the officers' orders, and he didn't want to," Interim Police Chief Orlando Rodriguez said.

Shortly before the confrontation, the boy had walked into a classroom and punched a random boy in the nose for no apparent reason, police said. Investigators did not know why he pulled out the weapon.

"We think it looks like this was a way to bring attention to himself," the police chief said. He said the officers' actions were justified and no one else was hurt.

Authorities declined to share what the boy said before being shot.

The shooting happened during first period at Cummings Middle School in Brownsville. Teachers locked classroom doors and turned off lights, and some frightened students dove under their desks. They could hear police charge down the hallway and shout for Gonzalez to drop the weapon, followed by several shots.

Two officers fired three shots, hitting Gonzalez at least twice, police said.

The boy's father, Jaime Gonzalez Sr., said he had no idea where his son got the gun or why he brought it to school.

"We wouldn't give him a gift like that," he told The Associated Press from the family's home, where other relatives and friends of his son were gathering Wednesday night.

He said nothing seemed amiss when he, his wife and their son went out for nachos the night before, then went home and watched a movie. He said he last saw his son Wednesday morning, when the boy said goodbye before leaving to catch the bus to school.

Gonzalez Sr. was struggling to reconcile the day's events, saying his son seemed to be doing better in school and was always helpful around the neighborhood mowing neighbors' lawns, washing dogs and carrying his toolbox off to fix other kids' bikes.

Both he and his wife, Noralva, questioned why police repeatedly shot at their son and called the shooting unjustified.

"Why was so much excess force used on a minor?" he asked. "Three shots. Why not one that would bring him down?"

His wife, who demanded that the officers be punished, added: "What happened was an injustice."

Rodriguez said his officers "took the necessary action to protect themselves and the other kids." There weren't many others in the hall at the time, but "they had every right to take the action that they took."

The boy's godmother, Norma Leticia Navarro, said she couldn't imagine why he would have brought a gun to school.

"I wish I could ask him why he did that, 'Why did you put yourself in that position?'"

She said she understood that police were doing their job, but she wondered if other steps could have been taken.

"Jaime was not a bad kid," she said. "I'm not saying he was perfect or an angel, but he was a very giving person."

David A. Dusenbury, a retired deputy police chief in Long Beach, Calif., who now consults on police tactics, said the officers were probably justified in their actions.
If the boy was raising the gun as if to fire at someone, "then it's unfortunate, but the officer certainly would have the right under the law to use deadly force."

Administrators said the school would be closed Thursday but that students could attend classes at a nearby elementary school if they wished.

Superintendent Carl Montoya remembered Gonzalez as "a very positive young man."

"He did music. He worked well with everybody. Just something unfortunately happened today that caused his behavior to go the way it went. So I don't know."
Gina Rangel was in her first-period class in the gym when the school was locked down. She said friends who were closer to the confrontation heard the boy threaten to kill everyone.

Her mother, Irma Rangel, said she was worried about the school's safety "because if this happened once, kids imitate."

Brownsville, on Texas' southern tip, is beset by spillover violence from Mexico's drug war. As word of the shooting spread through the city, frantic parents rushed to reach their children.

Those who got there early were able to retrieve their kids, but some who arrived later found the street outside the school lined with squad cars and blocked off.

Two hours later, dozens of frustrated parents and relatives flooded out of the park pavilion without their children after school officials announced that all remaining children had been bused to a high school and could be picked up there.

Julie Tomalenas waited for an hour to pick up her 13-year-old sister before being told of the relocation.

"It was very stressful not knowing if she was OK, where she was, when we could see her again," she said.

Wednesday night, two dozen friends and classmates gathered in the dark street outside the family's home. Jaime's best friend, 16-year-old Star Rodriguez, said her favorite memory was when Jaime came to her party Dec. 29 and they danced and sang together.

"He was like a brother to me," she said.

The first one is supposed to be a feel-good story and the later is more of the opposite.

Hmm, I wonder why the kid would do something as idiotic as that. I think the officers actions were justified. They had no idea the gun was fake. They gave him several warnings to put the gun down, yet he ignored them. I feel bad for the family though.

Blues remember that chat we had about 2D games, and how good they looked in 3D.

Let's hope they have something planned for the 3DS.

I mentioned something about Mega Man ZX, right? That'd be cool. Ghost 'n Goblins, Viewtiful Joe, and Bionic Commando can also do well.

Oh it did? Is that still being discussed in local news, 'cause I'm curious about how the police feel on that matter. Having to shoot and kill a 15 year old with a fake gun, isn't something I'd ever want to deal with.

All of those would be marvelous. Especially MMZX and VJ

Also, a new Breath of Fire and a Strider reboot would be welcomed as well.

Darkstalkers would be interesting actually because it being on a handheld would mean less production costs, and if Capcom doesn't want to make a huge jump with the franchise, the 3DS and Vita might be the way to go. I'd prefer to see it on a console or cabinet though.

Console/Cabinet please. I'd like to see it at EVO. Though I wouldn't mind a portable DS.

And people said the PSN Hack was bad?

Just goes to show that Microsoft isn't better at security. Just better at keeping skeletons in the closet. Like... it makes you wonder why this isn't on top media sites. Hmmmm.

This reminds me of this online game I used to play called S4 league. Here's hoping Planet Zero imports this.
