I posted the question in the wii u discussion thread, but no one seemed to see it. Personally I think it would instantly open the doors to other third parties and put Nintendo right in the middle of the hardcore arena. Just what they want right?

I think its too old, mabye a remake though...

Why an upgraded port? Why not the same game 360 and ps3 will eventually get?

You do realise Grand Theft Auto V is Grand Theft Auto 5 which hasn't come out yet right.

I was thinking that the ps3 and 360 versions would come out way before the supposed Wii U version and it would have something that separates itself from the other two. Like some of the multiplatformers that were both on the Ps3 and Ps2.

An upgraded port doesn't mean it has to come later than other versions or be a different it can just mean improvements in graphics, controls, online and other advantages the Wii U has over other consoles. A port just means bringing data from one platform to another.

Well with the Wii U capabilities I think the graphics would be better. I think this just may be a Wii U launch title. If not then it will surely come a little after launch. The Wii U and GTA V release dates seem to point towards the same time in 2012.

GTA V is not coming to any Nintendo console. Ever.

Both will mostly be release in Fall 2012/Late 2012 so I don't see how this would be impossible.Hell I won't be surprise if GTA V is a Wii U launch title.

Because a Grand Theft Auto game has never been released on a Nintendo home console. Interestingly though, the Gameboy color, Gameboy advance, and Nintendo DS all got Grand Theft Auto games.

It could come out for the Wii U, and I think the Wii U could very well be the first Nintendo Home console to get a Grand Theft Auto game.

Assassin's Creed was cancelled so they could use it's ideas in AC: Revelations. I thought you might've known this.

Cause they love that $$$ and Wii U will sell BIG just because it's a new system.

Rockstar's been open to having any platform house their games if they can handle it. They've been surprisingly supportive of Nintendo in the past, as well. Honestly, I'd be surprised if we didn't see it on WiiU.

I wouldn't say that. I'm sure it will probably get a decent amount of third party multi-platform games for now, nothing is garunteed whenever the ps4 and nextbox, or whatever Microsoft will call their next console, come out.

The thing is: what is going to make ps4 and "next box" stand out over Wii U? How much better can graphics get? I think Wii U will definitely hold its own against the two. That being said Grand Theft Auto WOULD open the door for more third parties. IMO. Lots of third parties.

Yeah I know. Oh well, I guess Wii U hopefuls will have to be patient. Maybe they are ironing out some things before releasing console info?
