Default Mario Kart 7 wireless router success stories

Hello everyone,
There is quite a problem with Mario Kart 7 and it has been going on for a VERY long time.
I am one member of an ongoing statistic where playing the game online is a question of which wireless router is being used. I have a Belkin N450 DB and after searching high and low within the many nooks and crannies of the internet I am yet to find any solution that works for me.

The solution I came up with was to switch routers to that of my phone company (because my friend recommended it cause he had no probems getting the game online). It worked FLAWLESSLY. However, my brother got upset because the range of this new router was significantly poorer than that of the Belkin. This all led to an unfortunate string of events which led to the phone company router being rendered un-usable.

So now I am looking to the fine folks of the 3DS community for help. I need any of you who have wireless routers that work flawlessly (LITTLE OR NO DISCONNECTIONS) with Mario Kart 7 to post the exact name and model of your router (for example, Buffalo Airstation n300 or Netgear WGR614, gimme the full name) These, to me, should be called "Mario Kart 7 wireless router success stories".

However, before you post I need to point out exactly what I need in a router:
1) RANGE is the second most important component I need. This is the only way my brother will be happy with me switching from the Belkin again. If you have a router with phenomenally wide range that you can shout about, post it here.
2) Easy to use interface. It doesn't have to be brain dead easy, I just want it to be easy to set up.
3) As mentioned above, FLAWLESS interaction with Mario Kart 7.

Thanks alot and I hope you all can help.

We have a Linksys WRT160N. Easy to set up and I have no problems with it (although I should upgrade the firmware, since it's outdated by three years). The only issue is one dead spot in the house, but that's because of its position in the basement which can't be moved due to our setup, but nothing a range extender can't fix.

I have a Linksys e2000 router and had for about a year or so.

So far I like it and it has a strong and fast signal while playing online games and I haven't gotten cut off while playing mario kart 7 yet.

Linksys e2000 has an easy setup in my opinion compared to most of the routers that I used in the past and I had a Belkin router before for like 2 weeks and it sucked cause I was losing signals left and right so my advice u should get a linksys router cause their very reliable and worth your $$$.

That's my 2 cents.

Thanks alot for the feedback. I'll look into the e2000. But still, keep 'em coming. The more successful routers the merrier. You never know just how many people this post can help.

Recently reacquired the same brand of router from my phone company. Have been whooping butt in Kart and Uprising ever since.

Hopefully this page will be of use to more people with my problem though.

BTW my current hardware is a ClearAccess modem/ router combo (model SR500N to be exact). Works brilliantly.

I have some crappy Talktalk router, and I've only been able to play MK7 online using it, once....

Then, I got a new phone, the Galaxy Nexus, though most phones have this feature now.
I turned my phone into a wireless hotspot! Now I can play online, pretty decently
I also have unlimited internet, so I don't have to worry about that XD
