Hey guys, lately I've noticed quite a number of threads asking for different and rare stationary for Swapnote/Letterbox.
I thought I'd assist in aiding you members by creating a thread where anybody can ask for and request stationery.
Please note that while I'll try to contact you whenever you exchange details have met, it may only occur when I update the thread.
Also, it's crucial you mention whether you're giving away or searching for the stationary you mention, to negate any confusion.
Finally, this is solely to exchange stationery, if you'd like to make Nintendo 3DS friends, make a thread in Matchmaking, not here.

Due to the popularity and availability of stationery in this thread, I will no longer be updating information unless necessary.

Now that someone pointed it out to me in a different thread, I'm seeing it everywhere. Lesser known homophone here, folks, fancy paper is stationEry, being without movement is stationAry.

I have one that is fireworks going off above a river of some sort of letter/word/sound on top of a hill. I assumed that was a New Years thing, but I guess it could have been a default one.

Yeah, that's a built-in one. It does depict a Japanese holiday, I forget which, but I have seen photos of that kanji made of fire on a mountainside.

I was under he impression that RetroGame Challenge and Game Center CX were the same thing. Also, Iwata is Japanese Nintendo Direct. When you said Nintendo Direct, did you mean North America's Nintendo Direct (the one from Reggie)?

Don't worry about it man, I think the best way is what already seems to be happening, everybody who requests stationery handles the next two or three requests after them.

I got the notification of new notes, but then it said that they were either from somebody not on my friends list anymore or that the data was corrupt and the notes were deleted. How this works, is I send you Swapnote messages using the special stationary (the Legend of Zelda NES one and the Kyoto/Mario NES Nintendo Direct one), and then when you read them, that stationary should be added to your collection. However, I think you need to have made/received enough Swapnote messages so that you unlock the ability to purchase new ones with the play coins.

I've added you, however, the Mario stationery is the only stationery of those you mentioned wich is possible to unlock by getting a letter. The rest of them you have to use play coins to unlock.

I got new stationary today that looks like another monster hunters one. There's waves of water and a torch flame on the left side, then a little animal dude holding up a sword on the right side. Pretty cool.

uk its march, so i got a letter from the us... o.O?
but i didnt get one for the uk one

Added after 5 minutes:

we got wifi set up the middle of febuary, so they had plenty of time to send it to me on time, but they didnt, and they sent me a us one instead... =/

In the USA as well. It's one of those holidays that isn't universal.

I suspect they put that together for the USA then decided to send it out to Europe unchanged. Sort of like how they eventually sent the Zelda one out in the USA, except they had to translate the message that time.

Do you have Swapnote? Have you unlocked the built-in extra stationery yet? Once in a while Nintendo sends out a mass Swapnote to everybody within a geographic region, and when they do this they put it on a new stationery. Receiving a note on one of these stationeries adds it to the list of ones you can use. Some of them only go out to one region (i.e., Japan) so people send them to folks living in other regions and then we send them around to each other.

Twould seem so. From the pic i saw, the difference is the japanese Art Academy stationary has the Art Academy title in japanese in the bottom left corner instead of in english.

i just got it at the time when america should have gotten it. the stationary is in english. in the uk its march 18th this year, oh well i deleted it. but it was in may when i got the letter.

by the way, not sure for usa, but europe and australia i know for sure. letterbox has an update. go to ehsop, it tells you software is available to update.
they added coloured ink, red, orange, blue, purple and green.

Indeed! If that update isn't everywhere now, I'm sure it will be soon. I'm unable to check at the moment.
