That is the question, will the event be on TV, or will we just have to wait for news to get posted on the internet? If the event will be Televised what American TV station will it be on?

no, the general public have not heard of the 3ds and this is a press-only event, no cameras allowed whatsoever

"Live stream" is ambiguous. What people really mean for the event in New York is "live text blogging".
