Default Tips for Mario Tennis Open

I just got Mario Tennis Open a few days ago, and it's a great game! I'm really enjoying the single player tournaments, and I'm completing them fairly easily. Online matches is a different story...I need some helpful hints to really compete online. I would really appreciate any helpful hints from some better players!

Thanks!

Try to get the Nice! shot, it is really the only reliable way to get a service ace. Use the R button if you dont think you will reach. Mix it up, dont let them figure our what you will do next. If they know where you serve, fake serve, pretend to serve over and over until they dont see it coming. Use a strong lob when they try to play at the net. Lob if they serve and volley. Drop shot if they are far away.

It's all mind games. The moment you become predictable = game over.
My tips for an intense game (with your mii) is to hide your advantages at the start and play good but repetitive tennis. Usually my opponents fall into following my created patterns then I change it up and reveal my characters true strengths.

I.e I use a tricky style mii, usually win the first few points playing flat shots, then finish it up quick by throwing a varitey of things at them. The moment you put doubt into their mind is a match won for you, unless you stuff up.

For casual game, just play hard from the get go mix it up straight away and watch for patterns in your opponents play. i.e when a smash chance shot comes up most people will mindlessly smash it cross court without thinking about watching the movement of their opponent and tricky players tend to go automatically for the wide slice on the opening serve.

But in short mind games wins matches just like SSB
