I sometimes wait if it's a game that doesn't sound like the best, and then if it's bad, the price will go down.
If it's a MUST-HAVE game like MK7, then I'll buy it at full price, which I got for $43.95 at Gamestop. I'll do the same for Animal Crossing and Mario Tennis Open.

Depends on the game. For example, most first party 3DS titles here are $70 in AUD currency. The third party ones are usually around $10-30 cheaper.
Since European games work on Australian consoles, I tend to import games from the UK because they're a lot cheaper. I know some of you who pay around $50-40 for 3DS games find it expensive, but at least you don't have to pay as much as other countries do. There are some people who have to pay even more than I do for games. |

Usually new titles are featured for $39-45 for an estimated price range over here (non used). Of course, this does not include the taxes featured in my country for some games. Though the price range I just mentioned mostly applies to brand name games such as the Mario and Zelda games. Some other titles can be found for less than $30; however.

Usually, like any other game its around ?30-?40, which for some games is ridiculous! but i try to wait till they come down to ?25, but if it is really good, I will pay RRP for it.

$39.99 without sales and what not, and not including my states Sales tax. With Sales tax it might be $43 or what not, but never over $45 for a 3DS game with tax added.
And for downloads I thin $4.99 for the fact that most of my downloads are GB games, and I don't use the eShop any more. Need a few more GBC games for my collection though. Quote:

I buy my games from all different kinds of places. I bought LoZ OoT and MK7 from Walmart at full price. I am a pro rewards member at Gamestop so Ive bought a few pre owned games for like 31 or 32 dollars. I found Super mario 3d Land, resident evil mercenaries, and Skylanders Starter Pack at a salvage store for 20 dollars. And ive bought nintendogs online for 10 dollars. So you just need to have a variety of places to look and find deals.

I refuse to buy any 3DS games for $40. The only one I did, and have kept is Super Mario 3D land...
I pretty much refuse to buy ANY handheld game for $40 except for a select few (whether I HAVE to have it on launch day), the ONLY game on Vita I have spent $40 on is Gravity Rush.... Mainly, on 3DS, the most I pay is probably $20 for retail, and $7 for a downloadable, if its worth it (Pushmo) |

They cost 45€ in stores here.

Most games here cost 45-50€. Shops drop prices though after some time to around 30€ and there are the occasional offers for 15-20€. These offers though are now scarce for 3DS games, at least for the good ones, since after one of the two big stores stopped selling Nintendo stuff and the other one is now left with no competition for Nintendo stuff :/

I always get my games off of amazon used, because you can get really good deals!

samurai warriors was the 1st game I bought. When it first came out it wasn't rare at all. In fact it was the cheapest game here at the beginning, it costed 42 euros. Now you can still find it fairly easyly at the price of 29 euros.

Sure it's been said, but they range anywhere from $30-40 here in the US. I've spent the full $40 on quite a few games(Fire Emblem, Revelations, Mario Kart, Code of Princess, etc), but many others I've waited until they were used(Ocarina of Time 3D, Mercenaries 3D) to save a good $10+.

All my 3DS games are $70 AUS. All the new games cost that much, and it is really expensive everytime I go to EB games to get new games. And sales only bring them down about $10 or so. There aren't many preowned 3DS games around in my area.

I usually spend between $20-$30 on 3DS games. I tend to be patient and buy them once they've been out for awhile, on sale, or buy from gamefly. My purchases through the eShop are the non-retail variety and will cost under $10.

If I buy a title that isn't scheduled for release in a few months, I buy 'em from Amazon. There, I get them for $35. Now, when I usually buy games, they're $43... Whai Gaemstap.

40 - 45 Euros, including taxes.
I think the prices are more or less the same in all the EU as I have noticed no difference between the game prices of Greece and Germany.

It looks like the price of 3DS games are being upped $5 due to our lower dollar value. Now games that used to cost $29.99 cost $34.99 and those that cost $39.99 are now $44.99. Factor in taxes, and new games now cost $50 in just about every province.

Ever since E3 last year my 3DS games cost about $27 + taxes, so about $30. The last 3DS game I am getting for this price is Super Smash Bros. Hopefully I can get the same/similar deal as last year, because games like Kirby which are announced and released shortly after I have to pay full price or wait. Although, with the Canadian $ going down, I doubt there will be any great deals. New $60 games are now $70, and taxes make them $80.

Most games I have for 3DS are first-party Nintendo titles and those rarely go below the $40 price range, so I guess I mostly pay about that. Funny enough the only game I never waited to buy (Bought it on launch day--October 12 2014) was Pokemon Y and it just so happened to go for $35 at Costco that day.

It really depends on how old the game is, obviously with 1st party titles you have to pay 30-49$ because its Nintendo s games and thoughs are the games that sell systems, 3rd and other party developers usually drop drastically over time a game that used to cost 25.00 would drop down to 15.00 and then to maybe 10.00 or 8.50 but it all depends on where you live

Now that I've moved in Germany I usually buy games from amazon.de as I have free shipping as a University student. The german amazon site usually sells brand new Nintendo games 10 euros off, so I buy them for 40 euros.
