So I don't really use Netflix on my 3DS, because the connection on that is bullcrap for some reason. (Even though the internet on my computer is blinking fast). I decided to watch a movie through Netflix, and I just watched The Fat Boy Chronicles. It's actually sort of touching, and it's a pretty good movie. It shows common teenage depression, and weight loss. I realized that bullying people about their weight is pretty mean... And what made that young girl cut herself was so sad.

That football player who was originally mean to Jimmy (the main character, the fat guy of the school) changed Jimmy's life. He stood up for him. That was a pretty good movie. It was almost as sad as Cyberbully, which I watched a few weeks ago through Netflix. I love horror movies and also dramatic\sad movies. Those are the best. Romance is cheesy (like TWILIGHT, *****es)... Yeah.

Watched Looper last Thursday.

Sure wasn't the Bruce Willis action film I was expecting. My friend who seems to orgasm whenever she sees Bruce's face didn't seem to mind though.

It's very confusing, and it's one of the movies where you have to take note of everything that is said, and pay very close attention. I do agree that it is a bit slowly paced.

I saw Frankenweenie on Friday. It was great. xD
I really want to see The Perks of Being a Wallflower, but it's not at my local theater. There are no perks to being in NC.

I literally just watched Silent Hill, and I don't see how it's a horror movie, but it was really good and I can't wait to see the sequel. I had to google the ending because I didn't understand it, but now I do.

I watched Dredd 3D with my friend yesterday. Love the action in the movie but hated the slow motion. As far as I can remember, I don't think the movie explained about the main character's past or how he become a judge. Overall, it's a good action movie.

I found a legal site (that doesn't harm your computer either) that has many many free movies, even the newest ones, so I've been watching a lot of movies lately. I just finished Cosmopolis about an hour ago.

Snow White and the Huntsman, it took me a few days to decide wether or not I wanted to watch it because of what happened between Kristen Stewart and Rupert Sanders, but I'm glad I watch it, it was a really good movie.

I heard from a friend that part 2 is coming?!
I hope Will Smith will be in it(Even though it was pretty clear that he dies )

They actually did 2 endings for that movie.

The one they originally made was that he actually cured the woman he captured, the other monsters stoped attacking when they undefstood that he only wanted to help.

That ending would have been better, but they did another one.

Last movie I saw was Gladiator.

Damn sad ending

You should definitely watch Crank: High Voltage if you enjoyed the first one. Also in one of these movies Chester Bennington(lead singer of Linkin Park) is featured in a scene at a pharmacy.

I've seen the second one already.
My friends told me that the first one was better so, I found Crank on Netflix and I finally got the chance to watch it too.

I personally liked High Voltage more, but this was good too.

I was flipping through the channels around 2 a.m. last night and I stopped on Cool Runnings, which had started 10 minutes earlier. I haven't seen that movie since middle school and I really enjoyed rewatching it!

I have to agree that it was better than i thought it would be. But some of the writing was so terrible. I hated how they danced around Uncle Ben's quote. "With great power, comes great responsibility." They wanted the movie to be so different from the original Trilogy that they made some really poor choices.

Though I feel if you knew nothing of Spiderman, it was probably a pretty good movie.

Anyway, the latest movie I saw was Wreck it Ralph. It was one of the more entertaining animated films I've seen in a while. It's easy to see how popular it is with all the huge obsession over Sugar Rush. Its one of those movies i see myself buying as soon as it comes out.

I watched two movies yesterday.

The first one was Prof Layton and The Eternal Diva on Blu ray, a movie that I bought weeks ago.

The 2nd one was Skyfall (007), I watched it in cinema with my friend. Tbh, I didn't even know it is already out in Australia, not until my friend asked me whether I wanted to watch the movie or not lol...

I have watched that movie too... <insert confession bear meme here>
I was about 13 years old and it was on TV.
Fact about the movie: The actress playing the role of Lena's(the one that visited Greece) grandmother is named Maria Konstadarou and is considered to be one of the best Greek actresses.

I forgot to mention this, but last week we went to see Skyfall for my birthday, followed by eating at my favorite Japanese hibachi restaurant! I actually only kind of wanted to see it, since I heard it was good. As a guy who's never seen a James Bond movie all the way through, I can safely say I thoroughly enjoyed it. I still know the basics about who and what James Bond is, and I could pick up on things pretty quickly. It had a lot of great action, some nice banter from Bond and several other characters, including the villain, and the third act literally blew me away! My dad, who's a big-time James Bond fan, having seen all the previous movies, was rather disappointed by this movie. I guess he had colored expectations, I suppose.

Also, the day before, I saw Wreck-It Ralph a second time. I saw it by myself, as opposed to seeing it with a friend before. Probably the first movie I saw in a theater alone... Not to mention, the parking was insane, and there was a HUGE freaking line, so I missed the previews and the Paperman short. This time around, I noticed the Portal reference, when Vanellope called Ralph "GLADoS" at one point.

Today, I saw Rise of the Guardians, with my parents. My mom really wanted to see it. I love the premise of the movie, and it had me shaking with excitement at some points, like the inner child in me was trying to break free, appropriately enough. I sensed a lot of whimsy in this movie, like an action-packed Disney movie that's really light on comedy... In fact, of all things, it reminds me of the Oz series of books. There were plenty explanations of how things worked in the land of Oz, as well as origin stories for certain characters, but they all defied logic and had a certain appeal that lent itself to the imagination and creativity of childhood. It makes me want to read the books this movie is based on. William Joyce, the author of those books, worked pretty closely on this movie I hear (incidentally, he was an executive producer), and the character designs come from Joyce's own character backlog. This, along with How to Train Your Dragon, marks to me a shift in tone in Dreamworks, and the way they handle movies. Instead of being cash-grabby and "zany", they don't talk down to their audience, and instead give quality family entertainment... Not unlike how Disney used to do things.

Ugh, there are so many movies I want to see this season... I still have to check out Cloud Atlas and Lincoln, and in a few weeks, The Hobbit, Django Unchained, and Les Mis?rables will be out! So many movies, so little time...

I decided that Wreck-It Ralph was too far of a walk for me, so I didn't get to see that one. I did, however, finally get around to watching The Dark Knight Rises.

Wreck-It-Ralph, the vidya references were decent and they actually seemed to know what they were doing... But as the film went on they ditched the video games and started to focus on CANDY references. But yeah, it's a nice movie, shame that the ending was pretty lame.

I just watched Grave Encounters 2 last night. If you enjoy cheesy, B-movie horror flicks, especially those shot in the "found footage" type genre, you'll love it. I think it's a step up from Grave Encounters part 1, which I actually enjoyed quite a bit.

The Dark Knight Rises. Second time was even better than the first. My favorite in the series, narrowly edging out The Dark Knight. The Dark Knight is fantastic, but TDKR is just so epic. When I watch it, I'm literally sitting up the entire time. I don't know why, but it's just my kind of movie. I absolutely love it.

The boyfriend and I watched "The Collection" last night, and thought it was actually pretty good. We didn't know it was a sequel, haha, so we came home and watched The Collector. I'd recommend both.

Saw Lincoln this past Friday, really good movie. Not really used to watching these kinds of "serious dramas", though there are some humorous moments in the movie, most of which comes from ol' Abe Lincoln's stories, but what makes this movie intersting is something else...

Spoiler!

Poor husband

Haven't seen a movie in a while, so I don't remember (The Pick of Destiny maybe?). The next one should be either Skyfall or the Hobbit.

John Carter again; there was a special benefit screening at the Aero Theater in Santa Monica and I got to meet and get the autograph of the actress who played John's wife on Earth:

A classic. I don't think I've ever met anyone who saw it and didn't like it.

I just watched the remake of Jesus Christ Superstar. It was alright. The only upper hand it had was the man who played Pilate. Everybody else was trying far too hard for my liking.

Insidious. This one for the brave. I have watched many horror movies and I don't think I have ever been scared this much. I'm never watching this one again.

The Hobbit. way too much CGI, oddly paced, and of course there wasn't a good point to split it. next one will be better (though probably still too much CGI).

I disagree about the CGI, except the goblins felt a little out of place. They should have used the same style of goblin in Moria in LotR. I agree about the pacing though; it felt slow at times.

My parents and I saw The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

Just as a bit of background: I saw the original Lord of the Rings trilogy years ago, back in the days when I was still mostly a kid, and I'd only be interested in animated movies and stupid stuff, or I'd just be along for the ride with my family then they saw a movie. The first movie I saw was Two Towers, then Return of the King, then eventually, Fellowship of the Ring on DVD. I got the basics out of it, but I could only really follow Frodo, Sam, and Gollum's journey, everything else I had a hard time grasping. After seeing this movie, though, I'm curious to go back and watch them again, to refresh my memory. As for my parents, my mom NEVER cared for this sort of thing. In the movie, she nearly fell asleep during all the chase and action scenes. My dad loved the original LotR books, but didn't much like The Hobbit. Still, he enjoyed this movie a fair amount, said everything was pretty much what he remembered. Still, they were both surprised to see the movie end on a cliffhanger, and even moreso when I told them there was going to be a trilogy.

As for myself... I dunno, I really enjoyed it. A lot of funny moments, some intense action scenes, though I think it's been said that pretty much any scene that LOOKS like it could turn into an action scene will, but I don't have a problem with that. Aside from Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf, as well as Sarumon's cameo, I couldn't really remember any of the characters' names, not even the dwarf leader's. Something that stuck out to me, though, was that none of the dwarves died. Yeah, I haven't read the books, as you can tell, but still, you'd think a group so numerous with interchangeable characters, they can afford to lose one or two. But then again, it IS a relatively small group compared to, say, an army, and they need all the help they can get with this journey.

Speaking of which, I know this is technically the first story in the series, but in the case of the movies, this is technically a prequel... Well, again, the beginning of the movie shows Bilbo and Frodo preparing for the party at the beginning of Fellowship of the Ring, so perhaps it's more of a "Star Wars" thing... Only, you know, done much, MUCH better. The fact that they actually use real New Zealand landscapes is definitely a plus, and it all looks great... But the point I was originally trying to make was that, there are obvious a lot of things building up to what goes down in Lord of the Ring, and although my memories foggy on the details, I know that a lot of serious **** goes down in those stories. Compared to that, a group of dwarves, a wizard, and a hobbit, going on a journey to get their mountain back from a dragon doesn't seem as big or important as that. But then again, not everything has to be an "end-of-all-living-things" crisis, and as a simple adventure story, I will say that I was thoroughly entertained.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
I made it a tradition since I was six years old for me to read The Hobbit every Christmas break. This movie couldn't have been better in the eyes of someone like myself who's read the novel too many times to count. The way it came to life before my eyes similarly to how I imagined it was almost too much to bear, and I almost cried. Luckily, I wouldn't have missed anything because my screening was screwed up and the film was started over. Go see it. It is the best movie of the year (yes--even better than Skyfall, The Dark Knight Rises, and The Avengers).

Oh wait a second, I saw Skyfall in theaters last weekend. I still haven't seen The Hobbit, which makes me sad. I wish I watched that instead of Skyfall, even though Skyfall was a nice movie. Everyone's telling me how good The Hobbit is, and I want to see it!
