The Court Is Now In Session
Okay so I got an inspiration to create my own custom story.
This is very similar to the Werewolf story. Except this one is based on trials. The goal is to catch "The Killer", and the players will get a lot of chances to interact with the story. Every player will be called by his/her username. A little update. If the player is called "Lazy4643", he will get a nickname Lazy, because the numbers are hard to remember. So remember that. And if you have a specific nickname that you would like to be called, just tell me.  I will be updating this as soon as everyone has voted. If everyone hasn't voted till Friday, I will update the story. (If my PC won't explode) I'll explain how this works. Someone gets murdered, so people will be doing investigating, and as far as the story goes, people get to accuse others from the occurred events. Of course, false accusations will give you penalty, so think twice who you accuse. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Penalty. Everyone will have 3 "lives", which means that if you get 3 penalties, you will be judged as "The Killer". Though, even if someone gets judged as "The Killer" for giving false accusations, the story might go on. Anything can happen in the court. The Players. To make this interesting, no one will know who the murderer is, and every player will get their own random occupation. I'll give the occupations once everyone have signed up. The Judge One of you will be chosen as the "Judge". But there is a little trick to it. I'm not the "Judge", so someone else will have to do a lot of thinking, and obviously, being a Judge means that you rule the court. You decide what evidence is right, based on the facts. Being the Judge is the most important task. You also get to give the penalties. The Lawyers There will be 2 lawyers. Lawyers job is to protect his client no matter how bad the situation. Lawyers can also present evidence to back up their clients. The lawyers will get their clients once people have been accused. The Prosecutor. One of the lawyers will be the Prosecutor. Prosecutor's job is to catch "The Killer" by accusing the one in trial and presenting evidence to support his claims. The Defense Attorney One of the two lawyers will be called The Defense Attorney. His job is to protect the client that has been put on trial for getting accused of murder. The Defense Attorney will also have to present evidence to support his claims. Accusations. Now this is the part where you get to interact with the story. Everyone can accuse anyone. Everyone get's to accuse only ONCE per chapter, so choose wisely. Once everyone have accused, the story will continue. The ones with the most accusations will be put on trial, so this is the part where the lawyers get to work. You don't have to accuse anyone if you're not sure about who to accuse. Also, please tell me what crime you're accusing the player of. Like "I accuse The Janitor for killing Jacobs Newell, because the evidence points out that he is the killer!" The Evidence. Every trial needs evidence. The evidence is collected as the story progresses. After every chapter, the lawyers get evidence to support their clients. Using the Evidence. Only lawyers will be able to use the evidence. The lawyers will present their evidence to the Judge, who then decides what is right and what is wrong. To keep the story going, the lawyers will get to choose what evidence they use in the court. So the lawyers will get to interact with the story too. The other players, can also see the evidence, so even they CAN make observations and tell the others what they think about the evidence. The Witnesses. A little update on the rules. I forgot to mention about the witnesses. Before the trial starts, the lawyers will choose their witnesses that clear the events of the murders. You can pick ANY player as the witness, even if he/she wouldn't be "related" to the case. Of course, it's up to the lawyer to decide which player will be the witness. You can choose up to 3 witnesses per trial. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now, I think I've explained everything. This shouldn't be hard at all. If you're not sure about everything, feel free to ask me. And if you're not sure about something when the story progresses, you can always ask. If there is anything that needs improvement, tell me and I'll fix it. The story is so far made by me. I haven't kinda given you guys the chance to interact that much and rejected the accusations, because they were baseless conclusions. But now, to let you act more freely, I'll let you guys to tell me what you would like to happen in the story. You can send me private messages of what you would like to happen, and what you would like to investigate. I'll let you accuse people after the Chapter 6 is out. Then we know more about the investigations and people. Also, people can keep their personal diary about all the happenings in the story, from their characters' angle. If you want to write about the happenings, you can post your diary on to this thread! Use your imagination. Like this: "I slept well last night knowing that the kidnapper was finally caught." Chapter 1 It was a rainy day. Igiari The Prosecutor was just about to go to work. As he was about to lock the door, he noticed that something was stuck inside the lock. "Hm? What's this?" Igiari found a tiny plastic object inside the lock. "Better check it later, I'll be late from work!" As he arrived at the office, Gaben The Detective was there to greet him. "We found another one Igiari" Said Gaben. "Hmm... so no paperwork for me then" Igiari thought. On their way to the crime scene, Gaben had something to say. "So, have you met my new partner?" "The new guy?" Igiari asked curiously "Yeah, the guy that won the #1 Cleanest office price" Gaben sighed. "No, I haven't. But be sure to send my greetings to him" Igiari laughed mockingly. When they arrived at the crime scene, Igiari noticed the dead body. "His name is Jacobs Newell. He was killed with a blunt knife. He had been stabbed in the back. Bet that hurt a lot" Gaben informed. Igiari took a closer look at the body. "What about the witnesses?" Igiari asked. "Yeah, about that..." Gaben went quiet. "Yeah, what about them?" Igiari asked. "We only found these two guys, wandering around the crime scene. Their names are Garret, and Myth. Garret is the Mailman around these parts, and well, Myth is the Janitor living in that house." Gaben pointed at the old wooden house. "They are our prime suspects right now" "Can I investigate this place for some more clues?" Igiari asked the Detective. "Sure you can, I'm heading back to the police station, and have these two taken to custody. After you're done with your job, you can start questioning these two. Gaben shouted. Igiari started to investigate. He found a plastic bag from under the dead body, containing painkillers. "What are these doing in here?" He mumbled to himself. After Igiari was done searching, he went to the police station. When he arrived at the station, he was stopped by another detective. "Hello there Igiari!" Said the Detective. "Umm, who are you?" Igiari asked "Well, it's me, Spartan!" The man said "Ohh, the new guy!" Igiari was astounded "Yeah, you should get inside, the suspects are waiting" Spartan adviced Igiari Spartan seemed like a nice guy. Well, at least he was happier than any other detective around here. Once Igiari got inside, Detective Gaben came to inform him that the suspects were ready to speak. Igiari opened the door, and walked in to the questioning room. "So, Garret and Myth." Igiari confirmed "You were there when the murder occurred, so that means you two are being accused of murder." "I want to hear every little detail about why you guys were there." Igiari said. "We are neighbors, so we chat a lot. We were talking about global warming until we heard a loud noise coming from the backyard. We went to see what was going on, and we found this man, dead. He was our neighbor. I recall his name was Newell?" We didn't really talk to him that much, because he was always sorting out things with Turtles." Myth said "Who is this Turtles?" Igiari asked. "Turtles is a Cook in the restaurant called "Muy Bueno". I think Turtles is one of the main chefs around there." Garret answered. "Hmm... Maybe Turtles had a grudge against Newell?" Igiari considered. "Time to go pay a visit to that restaurant" End of Chapter 1 Sorry about how blank this will seem. I will upload the second part tomorrow, this was just an introduction to what's coming. I don't have more time to rustle the story today, because it's 1am.

Chapter 2 Igiari went to the restaurant called "Muy Bueno". Meanwhile, in the Movie Studio. "I'm sick of this TV show!" Ninja yelled. "But, you're making lots of money out of it" Tails said. "I don't care, I've had enough. Come on Tails, let's get something to eat." Ninja said. "As you say, boss" Tails answered back. The couple set off towards the restaurant Muy Bueno. On their way to the restaurant, they saw Gideon, one of Tails' best friends. "Hey, Gideon!" Tails greeted. "Oh, hi there Tails" Gideon greeted back. "So, where are you headed?" Tails asked "Well, I was hungry, so I thought I'd spoil myself with a good dish." Gideon answered. "What a coincidence, we were about to get something to eat too!" Tails said happily. "Maybe we can dine together?" Tails asked. "I would be more than glad to do it." Gideon answered happily. Igiari appeared in the restaurant the same time than the Trio. But Igiari wasn't there to get food, he was there to investigate. The Trio ordered their food, and Igiari went straight to the kitchen. "Is there a Cook named Turtles here?" Igiari asked. "No, Turtles just went outside to the grocery store:" One of the cooks said. Igiari was now even more interested. Did Turtles know that Igiari was coming? "What grocery store?" Igiari asked. "The one that's a few blocks away from here. The name is Sammy's Store." The cook said. "Hmm... I really need to talk to Turtles..." Igiari thought. Igiari left the restaurant, and headed to Sammy's Store. When Igiari arrived at the Store, he saw a little shack selling flowers next to the store. There was something written in the sign. "Lunch, be right back. -Knotty" Igiari set his foot inside the store, hoping that he would find what he was looking for. But the store was empty. Only one customer was standing near the candy shelf. Igiari stepped closer to the customer, and said hello. "W-w-who are you?" The customer asked. "My name is Igiari. Have you seen a Cook around here?" "No-n-n-no?" The customer stuttered. "But I was told the Cook would be here. What's your name?" Igiari asked. "T-t-t-t-the name i-is Hepp. N-n-n-nice to m-meet you!" Hepp stuttered. "Nice to meet you too Hepp. Well, no luck this time." Igiari sighed. Igiari left the store unhappy. "I still didn't find Turtles." Igiari mumbled. "Maybe I should head to home and come back tomorrow." Igiari then headed back home. On his way there, Igiari remembered that something was stuck inside his door's lock. "Oh yeah, the tiny plastic object." Igiari tried to figure out what it was. but couldn't make any sense out of it. "Maybe I should take it to the Locksmith." Igiari thought. Once he arrived back home, he saw that his door's lock was broken. "Someone tried to break into my house!" Igiari was terrified. "I really need to go see the Locksmith!" End of Chapter 2

Chapter 3 Igiari didn’t sleep well last night. He was sure that something was going on. There was a green envelope left on the living room table. There was a letter inside. “I know you’re investigating this case. Stop now, and I won’t harm Turtles. –Yours truly, The Anonymous” Igiari was now sure that Turtles wasn’t the murderer. it was someone else. The one that kidnapped Turtles! The next day, Igiari went to see the Locksmith. “Good morning Mr. Prosecutor!” Gecko The Locksmith said. “Good morning Gecko” Igiari greeted. “Someone broke into my house last day” Igiari said quietly “What? Who could've done that?” Gecko was stunned “I don't know. That’s why I came here. I also found this inside my lock before it was broken.” Igiari handed the tiny plastic object. “Hmm… It seems that it’s a part of some miniature decoration… What was it doing in there?” Gecko asked “I have no idea. Maybe it’s a clue?” Does anyone in this town collect miniature figurines?” Igiari asked “Hmm… I’ve heard of this one guy. His name is Mike. He is a Coach in the public gym.” Gecko answered “Okay then, I’ll go pay a visit to the local gym.” Igiari said. At the same time, at Muy Bueno restaurant. “That sure was delicious.” Gideon said. “Yeah, I can’t think of anything else than food right now.” Ninja said “Next time, I’ll order a huge steak!” Tails laughed. *And now, todays weather!* TV was on “Artemis the Weatherman reporting todays weather!” The Weatherman speaking “Today, it will be mostly sunny, with a chance of clouds coming from the north.” “Today’s weather will be clear as a sky!” “Now, more news! Stay tuned!” “Man, the news are always a bit bland.” Tails said “I know, they should change the reporter anyways. Replace him with someone like… ME!” Ninja yelled “No, that’s not your job, Ninja.” Tails said “I know! But I want to say that someone was murdered while broadcasting the news!” Ninja said. “Death is a serious thing Ninja. It’s nothing to be proud of.” Gideon said. “But it would be pretty awesome, right?” Ninja was smiling Igiari was on his way to the local gym. After he arrived there, he saw a Plumber fixing the pipes outside. The Plumber was pretty mad and yelled at the pipes to start working. Igiari was curious about what was going on, and asked what’s the matter. “The damn pipe is stuck. I can’t find a way to unplug it!” Kid the Plumber said. “Hmm… could it be…?” Igiari said quietly. Igiari took a look at the pipe, and saw that the pipe was swollen. There was clearly something stuck in there. Igiari called the police to come to unplug it. Once the cops arrived, and opened the pipe, they saw something very terrible. A DEAD BODY. Igiari was right. It was a dead body. He couldn’t believe his eyes. “This just went to a whole new direction.” Igiari just noticed that the case was getting more and more interesting. End of Chapter 3

Chapter 4 Not long after the body was discovered, The Plumber was questioned. He claimed that The Coach of the local gym said he had something stuck in the pipes, so he wanted it to be fixed as soon as possible. Of course, it was hard to believe him because he was the only one there. They identified the dead man. His name was Aston Kensington. He was 33 years old, and he was currently unemployed. "Could Mike have something to do with the body?" Igiari thought "That would be pretty stupid because he called the Plumber to come to fix this pipe problem, so the Plumber would have found out that Mike had something to do with the body." "Something doesn't seem right. Is someone trying to pin the crime on Mike or the Plumber?" "I'd better go find the Coach." Igiari then went inside the gym. After Igiari passed the lobby, he came to the offices. *Mike* The plate read. Igiari then knocked on the door. Mike came and opened the door. "My name is Igiari. I wanted to ask if you have something to do with the body outside?" Igiari asked "Body? What body?" Mike was wondered. "There was a dead body stuck in your pipe system." Igiari answered. "So that's what caused the blockage in the pipes." Mike said. "Yes. Now I want to ask you a few questions." Igiari said. "All right then." Mike answered. Igiari questioned the Coach, and found no contradictions. His alibi was waterproof. Mike had a few trainees last night at the gym. Mike was teaching them body controlling. The trainees already proved this to be true. Then Igiari remembered. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Do you know what this is?" Igiari asked Mike "Looks like plastic. From a miniature figure!" Mike couldn't believe it. "I lost that part a few days ago. I tried to finish my model, but something was missing." He said "So, can you tell me what it was doing inside my door's lock?" Igiari asked. "What!? Why would it be there?" Mike was surprised. "That's what I wanna know too. So you said you lost this part. Could it be that someone took it from you?" Igiari asked. "That seems to be the right answer. Since I didn't know what happened to it." Mike said. "Well, if it wasn't you, then who took it?" Igiari thought. Igiari was out of ideas. "If it wasn't the Coach, then it had to be the Plumber." He thought. Igiari went to the police station, and found Gaben eating a sandwich. "Oh yeah, this is delicious!" Gaben yelled. After Gaben took his third bite, BMO, one of the cops came to him and grabbed the sandwich from his hands. "There is no time to eat, we have a murder case to solve." BMO said. BMO then threw the sandwich into the garbage can. Gaben was bitter. He couldn't stand BMO. He almost slapped BMO in the face. "Fine, I'll go look for my partner!" Gaben was angry and hungry Igiari went after Gaben. "So, find anything interesting about the first victim?" Igiari asked. "Yeah, he was working at the local store, called Sammy's Store." Gaben answered. "Sammy's Store? But I visited that place yesterday." Igiari said. "So, what did you find out?" Gaben asked Igiari "Well, I didn't find Turtles, but I met this guy called Hepp. He was frightened about something. Or then he just had a really bad stutter." Igiari explained. "I'll look up to that guy after I've visited the crime scene." Gaben said. "Oh, there was also a little shack selling flowers next to the store, but I didn't see the owner. There was a sign that read *Lunch, be right back*. Maybe he knows something? Igiari thought. "Go back there and find out if he's there OK?" Gaben said. "Okay, I'm on my way." Igiari left the police station. Igiari arrived at Sammy's Store. He noticed that the shack selling flowers was still there. Now, the owner was inside. "Hello, my name is Igiari." Igiari greeted the owner. "Hello there, and welcome to my shop." Knotty greeted back. "I have a few questions if you don't mind?" Igiari asked. "I'll tell you everything you want to know." Knotty said. Igiari asked if Knotty had found out anything about the missing Cook in Muy Bueno, but Knotty didn't know anything about the case. He said he was selling flowers yesterday. But, on his lunch break, he found something interesting. A piece of white cloth with a red stain on it. "Where did you put the cloth?" Igiari asked. "It's right here." Knotty pulled the cloth from a little drawer. "Hmm... I'll take this to the police station, let's see if they figure out what it is." Igiari said. "It was glad to be of assistance." Knotty said happily. Igiari went back to the police station, and gave the cloth to Spartan and Gaben. "Find out what's in this cloth and where it is from. And also, take this tiny piece of plastic miniature figurine. Check the fingerprints if there is any." Igiari said. "Will do. The test results will be ready tomorrow." Gaben and Spartan said. Igiari was tired. He was still worried about Turtles being held captive somewhere, and he had a bad feeling about the two murders occured one after another. Igiari headed back home. Once he got inside, he saw another envelope. This one was purple. The letter inside said: *What did I tell you about sticking your nose into this case? I'll promise you, if you keep going onward, I'll make sure that Turtles ends up among the others. This time, I'll forgive you. Now, let's talk about the ransom. I want 76 599 US Dollars. Bring them to me in cash. I want you to deliver them into the following address: Statham's Street. And try not to follow me or call the cops, Turtles might not like that. -Yours truly, The Anonymous. "This... This can't be real. I don't have that much money!" Igiari felt as if something was twisting his intestines. "If I can't tell anyone about this, how am I supposed to catch the criminal?" Igiari was terrified. "I need to go see the Judge!" Igiari thought. At the Courtroom, Igiari and the Judge Eld?r were discussing about what should be done. "I'd like to take few people to the Court as soon as possible." Igiari said. "I need to know more about these murders." "I usually don't allow sudden requests, but this is serious. Okay Igiari, I accept your request." Eld?r answered. "We'll start the trial next week." Eld?r said. "But, then the killer might..." Igiari went quiet. "If I tell the Judge, the Killer might take care of Turtles." Igiari thought. "The Killer might what?" Eld?r asked. "Umm, nothing your honor." Igiari said. "Then it's settled. You're facing Edgeworth in the Court the next week." Eld?r said. "Edgeworth is on this case too!?" Igiari was surprised. "Yes. He was the one that informed us about the first murder. Thank him for finding the first victim. Without his help, we would have never found out that Newell was murdered." Eld?r said. "But why didn't the Mailman or the Janitor tell me about him? And why didn't Gaben tell me anything about him?" Igiari wondered. "Take care of anything you need before the trial. Think of who you're questioning in the trial, and take every evidence you have with you. Edgeworth already chose the witnesses, and he is prepared for the trial." Eld?r said "All right your honor. I'll get ready for the trial." Igiari answered. End of Chapter 4

You can also tell why you accuse the person you chose. Like because the evidence pointed to him or because he seems suspicious or acts weird. This all depends on you guys. Get to work and have fun!

We could do that.
But the players don't know exactly what happened because I'm the storyteller. I think I will be the one who decides what the witnesses will say. After the trial, you decide what is right and what is wrong, and you will PM me your decisions. Then I will add them to the story. This may sound weird, but it will actually be for the best. If I let every witness say what they want, that would mess up my story right? Of course you're free to have opinions everyone, so what you say, could be added to the story.
