My L button is broken. Is Kersti required to talk to at any point in the game?

Exclamation My L button is broken. Is Kersti required to talk to at any point in the game?

I think it's great that many of the settings in Paper Mario- Sticker Star include both a touchscreen option and a button option... except one: Talking to Kersti. One problem though, my L button seems to be out of commission. Is there any point in the game where this is needed, like how Tippi was needed to find hidden doors in Super Paper Mario, or is she optional and only appears when required?

On a related note, which is a better option:
Get a new 3DS or send it in for repairs. (It's an original black one)

Repairs. I dont have the game yet. Maybe you can watch walkthrough videos and see if it is ever needed.

Nope, Kersti is just an extremely short tempered floating crown... Thing... You really won't ever need the L button for her, but I would suggest sending in your 3DS for repairs.

But it is in no way needed, as usually she never really gives any useful advice.

Those are lies. She never said anything useful in the whole damn game. She's worse than Navi in that regard.

I would send your 3DS in for repairs. As a side note, any time you need to talk to Kersti, the event will be triggered automatically, not manually.

My L button on my regular 3DS is broken too! I can't play some of my favorite games on it because of that, like My Frogger Toy Trials, and MKDS, and finally, SM64DS. I would send in your 3DS for repairs, unless you want a 3DSXL, then trade it in for money, then buy the XL, if you don't then just repair it!

You can press L to bring up Kersti and ask for help if you may need it, but she's really not specific. It's more of a thing that can be used if you don't know where to go next, but that should be pretty obvious with an overworld map. I recently got finished with the third world and honestly, I never really had to talk to Kersti. As long as you listen to the story and read the dialog, you should be fine!

I do suggest that you should get that L button fixed soon, however. It'd be pretty silly to miss out on any future games because of a broken button!

Send it in. I have never had to speak to her though.

Kersti has humorous dialogue though, so you might want to repair your L button.

Not worth it.

She's a bit endearing, though. I like her cranky attitude.

Kersti never says anything useful in the game, so don't worry. I think you should get it repaired though, just in case of a different game needing you to press L for something important.
