Smile Seven year old daughter best choice or Mario game?

So my daughter is getting a 3ds for Christmas. This means I have pulled out the old super nintendo and GameCube to introduce her to classic mario characters. We have played mario kart and super.Mario snes. Also, donkey Kong and animal crossing.

So now to decide what to buy her with the 3ds. I already bought mario kart. I'm torn between paper mario sticker star and super mario 2 (the gold coin one).

Not sure which would be better.... I have bought both now plus kingdom hearts dream drop and 3ds Nintendo dogs + cats. She will get four games so if any of these don't seem right please point me in the right direction.

Thanks for your help.

Any Mario game should be good, but maybe not Sticker Star since some puzzles can be quite hard. I am not so sure Kingdom Hearts would be the best game to get for her though.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 would be great, as well as Super Mario 3D Land. Depending on her age, Kingdom Hearts may be a bit advanced with the heavy RPG element, as well as Paper Mario. Hope that helps.

New Super Mario Bros. 2. Your daughter is not ready to play a Paper Mario game, at least with based on what you told me. New Mario 2 is a very simple game compared to Sticker Star and it'd give her a general idea of what the Mario platforming formula is.

I have no idea how good kids are with video games nowadays, but I too think Paper Mario might be a bit difficult. I was having some difficulties already early on in the game to find solutions to certain problems, and I'm 23. It's not that hard, I guess I'm just slow, but I would imagine that if it's challenging for me, it would also be challenging for a seven year old.

She will already get her dose of complex gaming with Kingdom Hearts, so I would suggest New Super Mario Bros. 2, which I think has a lot of replay value, is easy to control and very addicting. It's definitely designed so that everyone can enjoy it.

Kingdom Hearts is some pretty complex stuff too. How good is your daughter? Can she play RPGs and stuff? Maybe I'm out of touch with how good kids are.

drop Kingdom Hearts and get New Super Mario Bros 2 along Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage(assuming she's an Adventure Time fan)

Thanks so much for input! I will hold off on kingdom hearts. I loved the first one but your right about age level. My much younger brother was about nine or ten when we played together. She is pretty good at games and has played through the on xbox along with other child games like toy story. I will stick with the nintendo dogs, mario kart and the super mario games. Hold off on sticker star too... or maybe just wrap it under the tree with the other 3 ds that has ended up in the presents pile since I'm pretty sure its only fair I get one too!

Thanks again. I am checking out adventure time too. Any other suggestions are welcome.
