Now the most difficult decision--eShop or physical?
If I get the physical copy, I can set it with all my other Pokemon games. If I get the eShop version, I can download a second copy on an SD card and let my brother play.

Decisions, decisions.
Of course, when a main game comes out here in America, I'll get both.

The Mystery Dungeon series always grind me down, what with the grind. I'll still be putting some play into this one, mind, but can't say it's top of the things I'm looking forward to!

If you mean to put it on another 3DS. I feel like it doesnt work that way.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it doesn't and why would it? Your not going to get two copies of the same game for 39.99

I think I'll get the physical copy, and I personally would love to play it
If I remember right, we can use the camera to take photos of things, and then use the photos to make a dungeon, right? I remember reading something about that on Serebii.net

Japan receives Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity dungeon DLC | Nintendo Everything

Hopefully this comes to the rest of the world. It most likely will. I don't like the prices though. 150, 200 and 300. NSMB2 dlc was 200 in Japan and $2.50 in America so that means it would be something like $2, $2.50 and $3.50.

Don't forget, these are entire dungeons. Basically, you get more content from these DLC packs than you would from NSMB2's DLC, because the content (Mystery Dungeons) are always changing, and you always end up with a new experience whenever you go through the dungeon.

Not really. The layout may change and the items and Pokemon you meet may change, but the basic idea is still there. If it is water-based, there will be water patches and Pokemon. I played one of NSMB2's DLC packs for at least 3 hours, I doubt I will play one dungeon for that long unless it is the revert to level 5 dungeon.

Unfortunately, I'm not counting on this game selling a ton anymore. Luigi's Mansion 2 is coming out the same day.

It's Pokemon, not a sequel to a random gamecube game. It'll sell fine.

Still, Luigi's Mansion is a First-Party Nintendo game from an established Nintendo franchise.

Won't a lot of people just buy both? Even if they can only afford one, they can buy the other at a later time. I know that's what I do.

I'm sure people will do that (I will), but most people will probably pick Luigi's Mansion, and people will likely forget about Gates to Infinity.

I find it kind of sad that this MD game doesn't have all the Pokemon But I'll probably give it a chance.

None of the Mystery Dungeon games have every Pokemon in it.

Why would the MD games have every pokemon? There story based. About binding with specific pokemon throughout the game, not just catching them all.

^That's true, but I'm not any less upset that I can't recruit a Buizel. D:

Well, is anyone getting this at Launch? I'll be waiting because Luigi's Mansion is coming on the same day.

On March 7, a Demo will be released on the eShop. It's going to feature the first 45 minutes of gameplay. It will also let you carry over the save-file from the demo to the actual game.

Wow! I didn't realize this game was even coming to 3DS. This is an iffy for me, I haven't played a MD yet and I will be getting LM2 first. Still, I have a feeling I will buy both day one .

45 minutes!? That's pretty long for demo... More like Part 1 of the whole game content?

Both because that is how you should experience as the "1st part" of the whole game. You can purchase it if you really like that game and want to continue to Part 2 - Part Finale.

The demo can't possibly be half the game. 45 minutes is short for the full game, but long for the demo. That explains why it was almost 1500 blocks!

I think you misunderstood me. I said Second Part - Part Finale. I mean Part 2 to Part Finale like Part 2, 3, 4, 5, Middle Part, Part 6, Part 7, Part 8, Part 9, Part Finale. . .

I am downloading my demo now.

Eh, not getting the full game anyway. I was rather impressed though. Haven't played much Pokemon, so this was my first time playing in probably 5-6 years, let alone a MD. 3D was pretty nice, as was the graphics. Gameplay has been good, but moving on tiles instead of full 3D sucks. Made me pretty excited for a real turn-based RPG. I'm looking at you Bravely Default and Dragon Quest 7!

I'm thinking of getting the game but...

Am I the only one that sees the whole Magnagate feature as annoying and gimmicky? The dungeons you get through it aren't special (but at least it can help you get some items and money when not playing your file), and it barely ever works for me! The commercial made it look so easy to find the perfect circle, but even when I put like a cup, plate, orange, and so on in good lighting it either takes forever to get it to work or it just fails. I don't think I'll be using the Magnagates when I get the game.

The magnagates in the demo didn't have all of the full features. IIRC, a message came up and said some along these lines, "The magnagates will not change colour based on the real-word object in this demo".
