Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two for Wii

You know that video game sequel you've waited for so long is finally in your hands, sucks balls in the end?

Epic mickey 2 is that game.

So to start things off the game is broken, and not just broken, very, berry, broken. The physics are off, the controls are super loose and make you want to whip the controller at the screen, simple enemies are hell just to take down, the game runs at around 20 FPS in split screen, level design is messed up and the camera barely works at all.

*deep breath*

The worst part about the entire game is that it grabs some of my favorite things about the first Epic Mickey and destroys it. Luckily, not everything is an absolute mess in the game. The cutscenes are sadly the best part of the game. Little bit of a downer from a game I had so much hype in.

The co-op mode is also quite fun if you have someone that knows the tips and tricks of the game, I tried playing my sister for half of the campaign and had a blast, minus the very low framerate and hard to see visuals in splitscreen.

Another disappointment I had playing the game is the story itself, it seems very watered down and lazy compared to epic mickey. To sum it up without spoiling anything, the villain in the game is a confusing and annoying character through the entire game. It's "I'm a good guy" one second and "I'm going to kill you" the next. The story also has alot of odd plot holes that seem lazy and put together in around 10 minutes.

Other than that another good thing is the game isn't as redundant as epic mickey, which is actually a good thing. For longetivity, you can see the credits in little under 8 hours or so. After that there are alot of missions you can try to complete and stuff to unlock.

Epic mickey 2 The Power of Two isn't a good game, it isn't a bad one either, it's kind of like that ex-girlfriend you despise but still want to make out with

Pros: Fun game when it actually works, cutscenes are great, voice acting is nice, co-op mode, lot's to do after you finish.
Cons: Broken game completely, terrible camera, story is a disappointment, co-op is very laggy, terrible textures everywhere, difficulty spikes, loose controls.

Overall score: 5/10
