I've finally had some time to play my Wii U.

Wind Waker is such a fantastic game and the HD edition fixes some of the few irritating issues it had.

I'm almost done with the game and it was really good besides one major complaint *traveling*. Seriously got so bored of sailing and every other form of travel by the end it really killed the over all experience. Just makes me once again think do not force us to be stuck in a boring traveling mechanic like sailing/trains. I'll have my full thoughts when I finish it soon.

Once you get the Swift Sail it isn't that bad.

I love the ocean tho so I'm biased.

I'd check out getting the swift sail then. It really speeds things up and you can get it after the first dungeon.

Still an EXTREMELY boring mechanic, especially if you are a completionist like I am. It's just sucking the fun right out. I would have probably rated this game much higher without it.

And still you complain? Wow. You should have played the original where the Swift Sail didn't exist, and in 50hz here in Europe as well. Sailing literally took more than twice as long.

I can imagine I would have still beat it but I might have fallen asleep playing. I already left my Wii U idle to get places while I went and cooked dinner. That sounds like torture.

Oh man, it was. You seriously do not understand how much better the swift sail makes the game! OG Windwaker forced you to constantly use the baton to play the ballad of gales to change the wind. And having to constantly press start to check the map while traveling... And God forbid you went in the wrong direction. OMG, I NEVER played OG WW twice. Not until WWHD did I play it again. This time, I actually started playing it again after I beat it, just to 100% it and see if there were any other changes besides keeping your starting clothes.

Oh and also, the baton was a mappable item, so every time you wanted to use it, you had to equip it.... The list goes on. The Wii U release is a much much better (or at least less cumbersome) game!

My only complaint is that the bosses were a bit on the easy side.

What 3d zelda boss's are hard at all?

Skyward Sword's final boss took me a while to beat on my first playthrough, and the Imprisoned is forever annoying.

I forgot to write here that I finished my file 100% some week ago. It was the first time I ever completed it fully; back in the Gamecube days I could never be bothered to complete the Nintendo Gallery, but now thanks to the upgraded camera and stuff, I did. It's good that you can download other people's pictures from bottles if you missed taking pictures of characters or bosses that you can never reach again.

What an awesome idea! I never thought of doing that.

Yeah. I've made it habit of sending the one time pics I take onto miiverse before turning them in just for that reason. It's great getting one of the legendary pictures in a bottle.
