Default Swapped my vita for 3dsxl

as the title says i just traded my ps vita for a 3ds xl because the vita has no good games and very few games incomming. I got a 3ds xl and a few games and really glad i did. Loving zelda, marioworld and resident evil.Anybody else on here swapped their vita's and do you think it was a good swap?

I have both a 3DS and Vita. It's only a good swap if you feel that it was. If you're satisfied, it's all good.

No swapping for me, as I have both too... if you weren't satisfied with it, you just weren't satisfied with it. Nothing to be ashamed of, and hopefully the 3DS will make you happier.

I'm not a big fan of selling/trading game systems early in their lifespans(inb4, "but Vita already dead lolz").

Even if there was nothing coming for the Vita that you wanted, it's bound to get something you want during it's life. Big reason why I didn't sell my 3DS even though I don't use it at all. Glad I kept it as now the games are rolling in.(and I'm actually upgrading to an XL now O_O)

Luckily I have both and didn't have to choose one over the other. Not everybody can have both though, which I understand.

If you're happy with a 3DS and weren't happy with a Vita, then how could it not be a good swap?

When i first got the vita i got uncharted and thought wow! But once i had completed uncharted i found that i was playing with the vita less and less. I thought becausenitbwas a new handheld that good games would come but whenmthe games came they were poor, black ops was terrible, resistance was poor and assasins creed was mega buggy, inthink inlost intrest after that. Now i have the 3ds xl i find myselfnwanting to play again. I am totaly addicted to zelda.

Well, I avoided the bad Vita games (Liberation isn't bad but not great either) and instead got 2048, Gravity Rush, LBP, P4G (although I don't like counting it) and am getting Technika Tune sooner or later. Pretty happy with those games and there's nothing I played on the 3DS that I'd trade them in for. I just want more and higher quality upcoming games on both systems because there aren't many that really interest me on either.

This in joking:.

If you are happy with the trade then i don't see why not. I luckly have both and enjoy my vita. I feel gravity rush, uncharted, touch my katamari, Wipeout 2048, and i am sure some others that i have yet to discover.

I didn't buy a Vita because it only has one game that interests me (Little Big Planet) but the price is not worth it, so yeah.

I say good for you, not because I hate the Vita, but because you got something that makes you happy/satisfied.

The Vita has a pretty nice backlog of games, but I'd agree the outlook is pretty grim, especially compared to 3DS, in terms of software.

Hope you're happy with your choice (you should at least be partially satisfied with the stellar 3DS line-up for the first half of 2013).

I traded in both my 3DS and Dsi XL for a 3DS XL - but to get a good deal the gap was months - and I had NOTHING TO PLAY.

So - I got a PSP-3000 for 50 bucks and a stack of used games for 5 dollars each to play.

To me, the Dsi XL is a much better machine. More interaction and a better game selection. I tried a VITA - and its actually a good machine, but the 3DS XL is much better in my opinion - 3D, more games selection.

Something is going to happen to the VITA this year - redesign, price drop or even have the plug pulled on it - so if you are going to trade -- now is the time.

Way in the future I might get one - for $50 bucks and the games for 5 dollars each.

Pretty much this. Vita didn't have what you wanted, so you got a 3DS that did. I'm interested in the Vita, but I can't handle three consoles yet.

Not sure how sony can pull the plug on vita, they already invested the money into it long time ago no point in pulling the plug won't help em

Opportunity cost. If it doesn't make them any (or a good amount of) money, they might as well abandon it and utilize the resources (both man and money) elsewhere which will make them more money.

I have both. The Vita is my dedicated Project Diva F machine at the moment. I might get God Eater 2 if it features crossplay with the PSP version, else I'll just get the PSP version altogether. I'm thinking of selling this thing though. I can use the money to get myself a Wii U or something.

Well I already have a 3DS XL that I love to death and I actually plan on buying my own PS Vita next month, because I am interested in several games from its library. People have different tastes and all that really matters is that you're satisfied with the swap.

The VITA and the 3DS have such different game collections it can go either way. I've known people to trade in their 3DS for a VITA too.

The VITA has some excellent titles coming out for 2015 - so it has at least another good year - this includes Resident Evil Revelations 2 - which is not coming out on 3DS at all.

Godeater 2 when released in Japan just sold 450,000 copies in one week so the VITA does have some strong sellers too.

I didn't swap a Vita, in fact, I've never had any gaming console besides a Nintendo one. HOWEVER, I am thoroughly enjoying my 3DS XL, and also loving Majora's Mask.
