Default How does Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon control?

So I was considering purchasing the videogame but I'm slightly skeptical on the control aspect, as the game apparently won't control as well as the original did due to only one analog stick. I was even more horrified hearing about something involving gyroscopic controls as it would be awkward and conflict with the 3D effect.

If anyone has played the later demos (not the earlier unpolished ones) can you explain whether or not the game controls well? And if so please specify how so.

I'm highly anticipating the game's release but I am terrified as to whether or not the game will be ruined by shoddy controls.

I agree, but in every LM2 clip ever you see the Gyroscope symbol in the corner, which means we use it to aim.

The Gyroscope is not used enough in games. I got NSMB2 and it had no Gryroscope.

OK. A lot of people have been wondering this too. You use the X button to look up, and the B button to look down. As you can also use gyroscopic controls as well.

I read that you use the gyroscope to fight the ghost, but that a tiny flick of like a cm is enough.

A flick. When the Wii started out everything was motion control. Than by 2008 when my family got one a flick was the only thing you would do. No more swinging your Wii remote around as a baseball bat. Nope. Just a flick is enough nowadays! The Wii U should just get the tradition remote style because the Wii's Motion Control was so failed!

Sorry if this sounds like a rant, but the Gyroscope feature feels so wasted on the 3DS.

I am not too worried about it, as I will surely enjoy the game either way. It is rare that a game fails simply because of controls. Though a big aspect, the game content itself is what is mow important. I can only think of one game that failed because of controls. Moon for the DS. That game had such promise, but one of the worst controlled games I have ever seen. With all that being said, I am not a fan of the gyro in any system. I think it is unnecessary. Call me old school.

How does Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon control?
A: With the buttons and slide pad provided with the 3DS.

The Gyroscope is only unnecessary when it is not used. (Like on the 3DS)
