As far as i know and what can be read via web, more info about this should be released when Pax East will start on 22nd of March which will last 3 days. So i guess we'll have to wait a bit more.
But from what i can see, this spring and summer will be huge with Wii U. I didn't play Deus Ex, but from what i can see i'll most definitely buy it.

Ooh if the bonus content is good, I'll buy. This was my GOTY back when this came out, so an excuse for a replay is fine by me.

I've never played the original, but it looks pretty sweet. I'll probably pick it up since the Wii U's library is still a barren wasteland. I hope this isn't the extent of Nintendo's third-party support - just remastered versions of games that have been out on other systems for months or years. We need some exclusives, asap.

If this game revamps the boss fights, it might just push me over the edge to buy a Wii U.

I can see it now.

"So why did you buy the WiiU" "Well the boss fights on a port of one game didn't suck."

It is a game set in the future, where humanity has hit its next stage in evolution, robotic implants or "augmentations", but political conflict and controversy has arrived on whether this is a good idea. You are Adam Jenson, a security gaurd at a business that creates augmentations, but was left critically injured after a terrorist attack on the corporation occurs and is only alive due to these augmentations.

Gameplay-wise, it is an FPS-RPG that allows you to make your own decisions in gameplay. It IS possible to beat the game and only kill the boss-fights(which is why they are being changed, if you went a stealthy-nonlethal playthrough, you are screwed on these bossfights as odds are you have only a stun-gun), while also possible to go guns ablazing and kill everyone.

They were basically damage sponges.

So if you decided to play the game primarily using stealth/hacking, boss battles were damn close to impossible.

The game is about choices and how you decide to play, but boss battles only give you one choice. Kill them.

Not a big deal until you realize inventory and skill points. When I got to the first boss fight, I had a basic cloaking device, a silenced pistol, a stun gun, along with some random passive abilities such as being able to fall any height and take no damage and some take down boosts.

Well the boss fight is in one big room, he has a giant machine gun that can tear you to shreds, unlimited grenades, is immune to take downs(in fact YOU take damage), my cloak wasn't good enough for a major fight like this, and my pistol did little damage, with my stun gun doing worse.

I had to beat the boss with a glitch I found.

This wasn't due to poor choices, this was because stealth is a viable AND encouraged option throughout the game UNTIL you get to these random boss fights.

And if I recall correctly, the third fight has a possible outcome that flat out disables ALL of your abilities(and your HUD) beyond using your gun and hiding behind cover, which isn't pretty if you were reliant on those abilities as your main form of combat.

I don't know how this game completely vanished from my radar when it was originally released, but I'm glad I have a new chance to pick it up. The more I look into it, the more excited I get about it. And I'm privileged enough to get to try it on what's turning out to be its most refined version - the Wii U. Especially since Eidos is taking their criticism very seriously, and patching up all the flaws in the original. Most notorious are the boss battles. (Source)

Yeah they had a public apology for that back when the game came out, and if I recall the DLC had a boss fight that didn't have the problems from the main game's fights. Nice to see things be taken seriously, would love for more Deus Ex.
EDIT:Oh yeah they might want to fix some of the augmentations. There is one which(and I am not joking) does literally nothing at all.

Although, they never actually confirmed May 7th as the release date, retailers simply set it; so I'm going to try and stay optimistic and say the developers just need more time.

I can't believe I've never even heard of this game until it was announced for Wii U, and the gameplay looks interesting so I'll probably buy it, provided that they won't cancel it.
