EA Senior Engineer: 'The Wii U Is Crap' - IGN Read it and weep. This is why I can't stand EA sometimes. It's not because of their business tactics necessarily (Though it contributes) but rather their lack of professionalism.

Anyways, if the dude is silly enough to let silliness slip off the tongue like that, then his ego was probably too big for his own good anyway. He can join that ex Microsoft spokesman

There is nothing wrong with stating your opinion, but like the dude on page one stated. the word "our" is what makes it wrong.
He represents himself as the EA company with what he says instead of his own opinion. If he just said "i think/find/etc" there wouldn't be any problem. I'm not to sure if he gets any trouble with it tho, as EA officially already stated that they pulled themselves completely out of the wii-u after disappointing sales. It's not like EA is going to lose much from it.

I must say:
EA would definitely know what crap is, since they are kings at making "crap." Origin is a huge turd IMO. I mean seriously, I bought Battlefield 3 for 10 bucks. When I launch it, I am directed to a webpage, and then I must launch the game from the web. Talk about CRAP... Im sure THAT employee isn't the only person at EA to think along the lines of Wii U being "crap" either. Whether he represents the company, or himself doesn't matter. If you work somewhere, you are seen as an entity of that workplace and your conduct will be seen as indicative of said workplace. |

For example the microsoft eployee that got laid off because he mentioned that everybody is dumb "he didn't mentioned that exactly, but it came pretty darn close" that doesn't want a always online solution. that's offensive, and that offensive behavior effects straight the consumers that are planning to adopt the next xbox. "they are the ones that will give the xbox a steady base to build on". I would fire him directly just to make a statement that we do not think this way about our consumers. ( basically to put out a message ). But this dude its a complete different thing. The only thing that could effect his statement is sales on the wii-u off there software and nintendo the company itself. But lets be honest, all ties are cut with nintendo anyway, the software doesn't sell at all already, and future projects are all stopped pretty much. It has not impact at all for the company. I would do tell this person if i was his boss, that the next time he needs to urge to throw out his opinion he leaves the company itself out of it, and makes sure he only represents himself and his opinion not the entire company. Firing him doesn't make much of a sense to me for this. But he did made a mistake so i could see how people want him gone tho. But then again, i'm a guy that believes in second chances. Everybody will drop the ball at some point. The question is more how hard did that ball exactly fall. Added after 3 minutes: Quote:
They are just examples, there is no need to pull out every platform they support and name it. He just wanted to say, that people moved on but nintendo didn't yet again.

he's gonna get fired.....but I seriously wonder, is an Xbox more powerful than a wii u?
Added after 5 minutes: I don't know what will happen, but that one Microsoft guy did get fired for what he said, and his opinion wasn't as nearly direct.[/QUOTE] Yeah but he was kinda mocking the people on twitter. He got his face in Game Informer...lol. So this guy will probably get his face next to Adam Orth's. ![]() woah what happened to my quote? anyway doesn't matter...

Do you guys remember that EA developer and his really offensive twitter comment? Let me frsh your memory:
![]() In that comment he didn't only offend Nintendo but Sega as well. If you read correctly instead of saying "Nintendo should stop making hardware..." he said "Nintendo should have "done the Sega"...". His words were unacceptable for a professional like him and show off EA's real face. Nintendo and Sega are both really old companies with many years of experience in the Video Game industry and they have both made mistakes in their lives. A company like EA which is seeing their sales drop by the day and is being consantly beaten by companies like Ubisoft, Konami and Activision should show some respect or at least proper, professional behaviour. I don't really believe in coincidence. I think that the fact that he offended both these companies has something to do with the fact that Nintendo and Sega are now in a close collaboration. He may have had known about this collaboration and he wasn't happy that Nintenndo chose to work with Sega instead of EA or something like that. What do you guys think?

I know that but still, this shows that EA is unable to control their working stuff.
Still, the question was if he had known sth about the collaboration or not.

no company with functioning thought would choose to support the dying sega over ea, one of the most successful names in the business. ea just goes where the money is, and it's not with wiiu. simple as that
it's just a salty dev feeling like taking some trash. nothing more. |

...you think Konami is constantly beating EA? They sold as many copies of Fifa 13 as Konami sold games in the past fiscal year.
But no, EA doesn't care about an exclusive game deal.

Yeah, I know that none of the companies is sinking, I just expressed a common belief.
Still, why did SEGA agree? It is a golden opportunity for Nintendo but as you saw, companies nowadays tend to avoid Nintendo. How come did SEGE collaborate?
