Spent the past hour reorganizing the flowers in my town.

They were just in random places before but now the flowers are around houses and buildings. This will make it easier to water them.

After playing online with a friend, I finally got enough money to complete my modern wood set! It should come in the mail today! Now all I need are the wallpapers and carpets, but I normally mix and match those to match my furniture.

I believe you have to wait 10 days after Kicks opened and have spent a certain amount of bells between Able Sisters and Kicks (10K bells, iirc).

It really sucks that it takes so long for Shampoodle to open. What sucks even more is, it takes even more time before you can change your eye color there!

If there's anyone here with Shampoodle that can change eye color, I'd love to come visit. I am so sick of my avatar's black eyes. I want them to be blue like mine are IRL. Also naturally the hair is lame as hell...

Same with me, I didn't have the bug net with me on the island. Tarantulas are easy to catch after dark though. They come out about 11 or 12. The first one I found bit me, but the second time I caught it.

I feel so unlucky that the only tarantula I've seen still quickly suicided into a river. I want one soooo baaaad. I wander around at night after 7 p.m. for awhile trying to find one, but I eventually just get bored. I'm an Early Bird ordinance so it's hard to play at night.

I've had villagers request a lot lately. Once everyday. A police station, a windmill, and now Stonehenge. I want to build it all but I don't feel like I have room for it! Villager moving time. I'm definitely going to do the new-character-then-restart thing next time someone moves.

I've had the police station building for a couple days and I don't want to finish it because I am afraid of running out of things to do, even if that is long away. :x

Well after 4 strait hours of hunting and only seeing 2 scorpions I luckily managed to catch my first scorpion.Then I returned to play some more and outside my house another scorpion appeared which I also caught then passing by town hall I heard a hiss and it turned out to be a tarantula right next to me so I took my net out and positioned myself and caught it also my first one.(really surprised it didn't attack me)

Planted lots of perfect cherry trees. Now I notice, that my paths are blocking spots for the fruits to drop on. Now I have to remove a single space everytime and then lay them down again to collect everything and while keeping my paths down. I never plants trees directly next to a path again, that means when the path goes side ways...

then i checked HHA for a spotpass house, nothing
and i checked post office for a new item, nothing
then i even checked the notifications icon on the main menu, nothing there about NL

what was it?
it had gone when i saved/quit to check letterbox though

If you see a villager at Re-Tail, talk to them, and then start pushing them around the store. It should only takes a few seconds of pushing before they get exclamation marks and ask to buy something that's for sale.

So guys I was thinking, my house exterior is completely blue and my main room is the Blue Series with Sapphire skin. It looks really nice, and I was thinking maybe my house should have a "sapphire blue theme" going on. The other two series that could be "Sapphire'd" are the Polka-Dot and Modern Series, so I was thinking of collecting and customizing those and then putting them in my upstairs and one of my downstairs room. Do you guys think that would look nice, since it would add some harmony to my home or do you think it would be too much sapphire going on to the point where it looks tacky?

And the trading forums do help, someone just let me catalog the entire Polka Dot series and even gave me the entire Modern Series! I'm going to experiment with my Sapphire thing tomorrow and if I don't like it, luckily I have a lot of other gems that I haven't used yet so I can experiment with those too.

One of my rooms has some (sadly not all) of the polka dot furniture with blue color and white dots. Carpet and wallpaper are orange with white dots. The rest in the room is filled with patchwork stuff or other blue stuff like the FI mask or a blue lotus lamp.

I must say, you did try to get purple's complement there with the yellow carpet and wallpaper but honestly. That looks ugly. The yellow should be a tad brighter.

I sell my coffee beans for a few thousand more at Retail. Also sometimes beehives. I like doing this because it doesn't ruin my villager's houses (too bad most of them are already pretty awful.

Speaking of coffee beans, it's a shame that you can't make coffee in your house in this game. You have takeout coffee available, you have coffee-making items available from Brewster, and you have coffee beans as an item. All of the pieces are there. Maybe next game...

Does anyone have their villagers always changing into the same clothing?

I can't seem to stop my villagers from always changing into the Beige Knit shirt.

It's Hamphrey's original clothing and I've had him in my town from the beginning. This Beige Knit shirt is like a plague in my town... I just can't get rid of it. At one point I did manage to get all my villagers except for one to change into different clothing, but the ones who I got to change eventually changed back into the damn Beige Knit shirt.

I really don't know what it is about this hideous shirt that keeps making my villagers wanna wear it.

but 2 are also wearing the jester shirt too, one of my characters is even wearing one, and has one on display in their house...

I know you can complain to Isabelle about villager's clothing, but they still don't change. I'm guessing complaining only makes them change if they're wearing one of the custom designs. Kinda sucks you can't get Isabelle to make them change any type of clothing.

Well, I think my town is finally rid of the Beige Knit shirt plague. I kept mailing my villagers shirts until they'd wear one of them and walked around town with shirts in my pockets hoping they'd buy + change into them. Some still have the Beige Knit shirt displayed in their houses, so I hope that doesn't mean it's possible for them to start wearing it again...

Got my golden watering can today. I did NOT expect it already since there was more than a week straight where I didn't play the game at all! They really made it easier in this version. Oh well, I won't complain xD

I got the golden watering can yesterday and today I got the silver one.

This might sound weird, but I really wish I didn't didn't get the golden one this soon and easily so I could enjoy having the silver one for a bit. I guess I shouldn't complain since the golden watering can is pretty awesome and watering all my flowers takes less than half the time it used to. :3

I seem to be the only one who plays at an extremely slow and careless pace. I don't care about a perfect town, I rarely go to the island and I didn't build that many projects, yet.

All I'm really into right now is flower breeding and chatting with my villagers, who I all learned to love.

Well, I wasn't really desperately trying to get a perfect town for that golden can. It just happened since I do a lot of gardening.

I kinda feel like I rushed doing as much as possible when I first got the game, going back and forth to the island to keep on expanding my home and stuff. For the past few weeks I rarely go to the island and spend most of the time gardening, doing villagers favors and visiting friends.

OMG! I have Shep as well. Why wont he just leave?

He was the 6th villager to move into my town and not once has he mentioned wanting to leave. Everyone else I've started with have mentioned wanting to leave at least once.

My smug villager has never requested to move either... and is the only one to not ask to move, except for my Jock. In due time, I guess. There are very few smug villagers I like, even worse with uchi.

Sadly,or I dunno what to say about this, my only cranky villagers is Kabuki, who doesn't seem to talk to Shep. EVER. He gets along so well with all my animals...But not for much longer he won't. Speaking of uchi, I also need Muffy (who is an ugly sheep) gone and replaced with a more likeable uchi villager.

lol so typical. I've seen like 20 silver slingshots float by, and I always carry a slingshot with me. The one time I don't is when I buy/sell turnips, which is like, less than 1% of the time I spend in the game. And last sunday while I bought turnips, I see the first and so far only golden slingshot hover by, and I'm unable to get it. Frustrating XD

(or mailing them presents), do you give them just any random crap you can find, no matter how weird/ugly it is? Or do you give them something that doesn't look bad, or something matching to their home's theme?

But they do it to themselves. Diana and Patty asked for a Sea Bass while Cranston begged me to sell him the flea I caught.

I'll just give them random stuff clogging my inventory. One time, I actually gave a villager a Gold Bug Trophy to see what would happen, and they gladly took it. Thus, I reset my game.

Yeah, they can be weird like that. I once plucked a flea off Mint and Rosie ran up to me seconds later all like, "OMGIGOSH I NEED THAT FLEA" lol...

I do my best not to give them anything that makes their homes look awful, but yeah, sometimes it can't be helped when they want some big ugly fish like a Sea Bass.

Several times I've plucked a flea off of a villager, only to give it back to them moments later in response to their requests for furniture.

I used to give them whatever, but once I realized I was inadvertently ruining their homes, I started giving them items that matched. Your Dora had some sort of slum house by the way haha

Has anyone else noticed how derp the NPC's like, Phineas and Saharah are when they're wandering around town? They're so aimless and continuously walk into things completely unaware of it as if they're blind or something. Or at least in MY town they act like that.

Saharah is currently in my town and seems to have gotten herself stuck in my garden down the side of my house. She keeps constantly walking into the side of my house and the shrubs next to it. xD

and it really annoys me when beardo stands IN my doorway, not just in front of my house, but inbetween my post box, and the fence on the other side, right infront of my door... how do i get in, its like he is trying to get in to steal my stuff, or spy on me o.o

The entrance to my town. I was really skeptical about getting a junglegym put in but I think I like it now.

I guess it did take some guts, but it wasn't too bad. I had some new ideas for ways to decorate the town and thought that it'd be easier to just start fresh. I did like my town's layout and all, so that wasn't the reason. I just wasn't playing AC much for the last week or so and starting fresh seems to have helped!

I've thought about starting my town all over again because I dislike the layout. Well, it's not so much the actual layout, it's the fact my town has 5 ponds. It's seriously unnecessary to have that many and it gives me less space for Public Work Projects and gardening. Most town's I've visited only have 2 or 3 ponds.

The only reason why I haven't restarted is because I feel like I've done too much to get rid of it all and I already have a lot of my dream villagers.

Just asking because I had Muffy packing her boxes to move out and I invited someone over to ask Muffy to move to their town, but the moving out question never came up when they were talking to Muffy. They did say they only had 9 villagers, so the question should have came up, right? I dunno why it didn't.

i went to a friends town and didnt even talk to muffy, i didnt know she was in her town
and i accidently talked to her one day in my town, said she moved in from my friends...

So are you saying maybe the reason why she wouldn't move to Edum Bot's town is because she's already planned to move to another friend's town?

Yeah, we'll wait and see.

I think my Truffles might have randomly moved to one of my friend's town then. The day after she left my town, she moved to my friend's town and as far as I know he never spoke with Truffles. I don't know if it was my Truffles he got or if it was just a big coincidence.

Yeah, so I haven't played for a week, and two of my villagers moved away during that period - Pekoe and Lobo. Lobo was in boxes the day I returned so there was nothing I could do about that. He said he was moving to a town called Traverse though (never been there; don't know the place).

The next day, I saw a villager plot in the area Lobo's house used to be. It was for a pig named Agnes (who I, frankly, think looks scary). Turns out she came from Traverse herself.

So I'm guessing if you have a villager moving out, and you StreetPass a person who also has a villager moving out, it basically acts like a villager trade a la GC Animal Crossing.

I'm gonna miss those two, but at least Lobo mailed his pic to me when he left.

I kinda wish you could just, I don't know, freeze your town? If for whatever reason you're unable to play for a while or are currently bored of it because if I didn't feel like playing, I sorta feel like I'd be forced to play often so none of my favorite villagers move away. I'd be sad if any of my villagers I plan on always keeping moved out and got replaced.

Yeah, I have three female characters with the same personality type. Not sure what the type is but they are definitely the same.

Alright so I have a wolf guy named Kyle in my town. And after seeing him at at Club LOL and him telling me, "we're going to dance til your legs fall off" I had the sneaking suspicion that he was hitting on me. After that he sent me quite a few letters and said some odd stuff, but the letter he sent me today tops it all.

The same thing happened to me with Cally, I guess it just happens with some villagers.

Speaking of Cally, I'm trying to get her pic and yesterday she wanted me to catch a gar.

Why a gar of all fish, Cally? The gar has to be the rarest fish in the game, or at least for me it seems that way because I've only ever caught one. I spent ages fishing for Cally and kept catching lots of arapaimas and when a gar finally showed up, it was 1:57am, just 3 minutes before Cally goes to bed (Night Owl). So lucky, lol.

I have five pics of Pekoe, the fifth mailed to me when she moved out. It seems once you get the first one, they become more frequent as rewards.

So I went back to check on my old Game Cube town and in my mailbox was a letter.

She had sent me birthday gifts for all the years I had been gone, 5 years in total. I ran across the town to were she lived, she was still there. But she chewed me out for having all these adventures without her. I was just glad she was still there, I wrote her a letter telling her that I'd come back for her, I promise.

And I will, so if anyone has Peanut leaving in their town you come to me first okay because I made a promise and I plan on keeping it.

I almost let Kyle go today, lucky he said he changed his mind as I realized I almost let me new best friend slip away.

EDIT: so I looked it up and Peanut is Peppy. Which would make 4 peppy villagers in my town... but you know what I'd give up Twiggy, Tammi, and even Bangle to get Peanut back.

That's fine, I can't really search for her now anyway since my town has 10 villagers. But once someone moves it's going to be a huge priority of mine.
