I've been thinking about getting a Wii U. But I haven't had a chance to mess around with one. Is it worth the price? If so, what makes it worth it? And what are some good games for it?

It's worth it for any hardcore Nintendo fan. Nintendo Land is a great party game, and it comes with the Deluxe Bundle, which IMO, is the superior one, even with the price. The main problem with the Basic bundle is that once the eShop games start rolling or games start getting loads of DLC, you're going to have to shell out another $100 for a hard drive, $50 if you're lucky. The Deluxe Edition has enough space for a couple of retail games, and quite a few eShop exclusives. The Wii U doesn't have very many exclusives, but all of the third party exclusives are great. (see Scribblenauts Unlimited [which you can also get on the 3DS or on PC, Wii U is the most expensive but it has Nintendo characters added in] and Lego City Undercover) By the end of the year, we'll have Pikmin 3, Wind Waker HD, and the Wonderful 101. 2014 will have Smash, Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World (something like that), Bayonetta 2, and a couple of third party multiplatform stuff. If it isn't worth your money now, it will definitely be worth your buck by the end of the year.

I myself have Fifa 13, Sonic Racing Transformed, Nintendo Land, (I had to get it separately for $60, I didn't buy the bundle) and Scribblenauts Unlimited, all of which are amazing games. Miiverse is sort of like Twitter, but Nintendo style. Online communications are much improved (but only when online connections work) and the GamePad is fascinating. There are a couple of issues as well, and I wouldn't port over your VC games to the Wii U, since some of them are unplayable without a Classic or Classic Pro controller. (I.E: Pretty much any N64 game)

If I get one I'll be getting the Zombie U edition which is the deluxe version but also comes with Zombie U and the pro controller and cradles. There are a couple of stores in my area that still have some of those bundles available, but they are $390. So I definitely want to make sure it's worth it.

If you're interested in the Wind Waker, you will definitely want to get a Wii U so that you can experience the HD remake.

If you really want to play all of the first party games and any other exclusives, and than any third party games that make it the system with the gamepad, then it would be worth it.

I haven't bought a Wii U, not even a Wii, but I find all Nintendo products to be worth their prices so far. If you are interested in the games offered then I'd wager it's worth the price. Prices for products is one thing that keeps me buying Nintendo.

Is it worth $350, not at all!!!

If you are a Nintendo fan, and you want Nintendo made games, then you will probably want to get it, but as it stands, there isn't really many games worth picking up right now, that are exclusive to the Wii U.

A couple games worth getting: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (because its only $20 right now), I bought Zombie U, but haven't played it yet.

Earthbound on the Virtual Console is what I am currently playing, and although I think it is overpriced @ $10, I am having a blast in the game, so its probably worth the price...

Wait until a price drop in 2014.

IMO, I would wait. Maybe they'll be another bundle in the future (something Nintendo should really do with the Wii U+Pikmin 3). Nintendo stated that there won't be a price drop in the near future for the Wii U, but they said the same for the 3DS and caved in. I really want one, but I know I won't use it as much, as the game library is very small, even after 8 months in the store shelves.

waiting till 2014 is the only correct answers. The games aren't there yet and all the must buy ones are releasing in 2014(Bayo 2, Smash, MK8, Yarn Yoshi etc etc)

There will probably be a price drop next year too

If I had the money to spare I'd go get one right now. But finances are tight at the moment so I'll have to either save up for it or wait until I have a free amount to get it. Which really sucks cause I'm sure the bundle I want will be completely sold out by then.

I'd wait a few months.
