Default Used to have to use two SD cards, got a larger one, how do I transfer backed-up saves

I used to use two 2GB cards, with just Fire Emblem on the second (I didn't want to wait to start it), and now I'm ~40hrs. in and I have a larger SD card. I know it's impossible to straight combine SD cards because Nintendo is terrible at DRM while still making their file system managable, but is there any way to get the backed-up save over onto the new card? (The new card has all the same data as the old, main SD card, and plenty of space.)

Before it's suggested, I really can't start over on Fire Emblem because I did it on Classic mode and it's too much to just redo. I'd use the FE card as a main and redownload, but I have Animal Crossing, which can't be backed up.

Hmm, interesting problem.
With multiple cards understandable to merge them to one bigger card.
The DRM is going to be a problem I think. But you are using one system. So the system codes are the same.

What you can try is:
- Merge the files on a third card. Be sure to copy the files, not cut them. That way you can go back if things go wrong.

If that fails maybe this will work. Please note that I'm not completely up-to-date on digital copies because I only buy physical.

There should be a way to backup your save file. I'm not sure how, but I've read about it,
Then copy your primary SD files to the larger card. Redownload FireEmblem from the eShop. And last put back your backup.

I'm very curious how things will turn out.

Tried merging, didn't work. Also tried backing up the data and using a program to check what had changed, then transferred over copies of those files to their respective places in the (redownloaded) Fire Emblem files. That didn't work, either. It does automatically reload backed-up data on reinstall, but I checked and it isn't there despite transferring those files.
