While I do not mind the fact that Wind Waker as brought up to an E10+ in America, someone brought up an interesting point. All Zelda remakes seem to get bumped up on the rating scale. In fact, both OoT3D and WWHD seem to be victims of this, going from an E to an E10+.

While I am sure this is due to the fact that E10+ was not introduced until 2005, with most Zelda games being right in between that E and T spot, I was wondering what you all thought about this change. Please discuss.

I don't really care what esrb rating the remakes have. As long as they're still good as the originals, I'm fine with them.

I could care less. The rating really doesn't matter at all.

To be fair, most children under the age of 10 will play any Zelda game and go wat and leave the game. Zelda games have swords, arrows, stabbing yadda yadda yadda. That's probably why they're in the E+10.

Overall like any other game, the ESRB is a suggestion, the change will not affect me in any way and it won't stop me from introducing my young family members to the series.

It's not going to affect any of my actions, in fact I wouldn't care if it was rated "M", for some odd reason. I just think it is an interesting trend, even though this is unlikely to affect most of the fans of the series.

Actually, now that I think of it. I wish the rating was higher. Imagine Majora's Mask's deepness with Twilight Princess's visuals plus a more adult vibe. That'd be epic.

Wow, that would be great.

While most of the remakes were released before the E10+ rating existed, I think it's funny that the VC releases of most games keep their original ratings, yet OoT3D was bumped up one rating by most rating systems, while the VC re-releases kept their original ratings.

Not because i'm underaged, it's just WAY cheaper than at stores -.-

I honestly don't care about the ESRB rating, especially when it's such a minimal change like this. I just think the rating changed because the E10 rating didn't exist when WW originally came out, and that the ESRB probably got more strict after controversial stuff like GTA.

There are 8 year olds that play Call of Duty online all the time, they are kicking ass and they swear more than adults... And you care about Zelda remakes being E10+

It makes sense. Nintendo games have always been deceptively violent and had subtle mature themes, but what crackpot is going to give the cutesy Wind Waker a T rating over an E? The E10 rating may seem a little redundant, but I feel it's the right rating for a lot of Nintendo games, especially Zelda.
