Default Charging a 3DS from Japan in America

Hi, My daughter wanted a Nintendo 3DS LL for her birthday, so we ordered one from Japan. It arrived without a charger.

Is it OK to charge a 3DS LL from Japan using a charger that came with her American 3DS? We live in the USA. Does she need to use some kind of converter to do this?

Please let me know. Thank you!

I live in Tokyo, Japan, but I am from South Carolina, USA. Don't worry. My Japanese 3DS never had a problem charging with any of my friend's US charging cable while I visited the states. Also, my Japanese charger works fine with US 3DSs as well. Essentially, they are almost the same exact charger, with only a slight difference in voltage output.

Thank you, Disco. We can charge it now without being afraid of shorting it out!

I'm sorry I can't figure this out: How do I mark the thread as "Answered"?
