Default Getting Pokemon 3DS XL on Monday, what data will i lose?

On Monday I will be buying a second 3DS XL. If I put my SD Card in the new system will I retain all of my current data such as Streetpass hits, download history, steps taken, time played games, play coins, etc?

Thanks

Not sure if you change sd care, but if you transfer from one to another you will lose all your E-shop games. But you will be able to download them for free again.
Not sure what else, sorry

Okay, thanks. I know that the games will be saved on the SD card anyway...I think?

im pretty sure all of that is stored in the 3ds itself
you should do a transfer then redownload anything from eshop, like norway said

the saves will be saved onto the SD card though, once you switch SD cards, or transfer data from one SD card to the other, any saves should come back

Keep in mind a transfer requires both systems.

So don't trade away your old system until you've transferred.

I'll be keeping both anyway

Do you know what data stays or deletes?

I did the data transfer myself and pretty much everything from the old 3DS is deleted and moved to the new 3DS.

Does this include your total steps taken, game time played data, streetpass and coins, etc etc? I just find these features useful and fun on the 3DS and it would be a shame to lose them

Yes, it does!

In the transfer app, Nintendo walks you through the process so you should be good.

It's basically your old 3DS in a new shell if you do it properly. Everything is the same, you don't need to redownload anything (Dunno why norway and Turtles said that o.O)

The opposite. Transfer then swap.

I think so. But wait till someone more knowledgeable comes around to help you.
