In Pok?mon X Version and Pok?mon Y Version, you are once again put into the role of a boy or girl just starting out on their journey. Your adventure begins in the quiet town of Vaniville where you live with your friends Serena (or Calem if you choose to play as a girl), Shauna, Tierno, and Trevor. From there you set on out to explore the Kalos region in order to capture and battle as many Pok?mon as you can get your hands on. But things aren?t all flowers and rainbows in the Kalos region as the evil Team Flare will stop at nothing in order to achieve their villainous goals. It?s up to you to defeat them while also taking on the Pok?mon Gyms that are located all throughout the Kalos region.







Player Character
You are a fresh-faced boy or girl living in the tranquil town of Vaniville. One day you and your friends set out on a journey through the Kalos region. Your main goal is to beat the eight Pok?mon Gyms that are located throughout the region in the hopes of one day being able to challenge Elite Four.


Your Neighbor
Depending on the gender you choose at the beginning of the game, your neighbor will either be a young man by the name of Calem or a young lady by the name of Serena. Your neighbor has a passion for battling and is quite eager to get out there and become the best Pok?mon Trainer they can be. You?ll be challenged by Serena or Calem at various points throughout the game.


Shauna
Shauna is an energetic and friendly girl who sets out on her journey in order to find a dream of her own. She is also quite curious to see how you and your friends are doing on your travels throughout the Kalos region.


Tierno
Tierno is a young man whose dream is to create a Pok?mon dance team. Tierno is so consumed by his dream that he will occasionally begin staring at the way the opposing Pok?mon move during battle instead of concentrating on commanding his own. At the beginning of the game you receive your starter Pok?mon from Tierno.


Trevor
Trevor is an inquisitive boy who aims to be the first among your group to complete the Pok?dex. He is a great student but admits he still has a lot to learn in order to become a great Pok?mon Trainer. You receive your Pok?dex from Trevor at the beginning of the game.


Professor Sycamore
Professor Sycamore is the top Pok?mon researcher in the Kalos region. Once you reach Lumiose City, you?ll meet Sycamore and he?ll let you choose from among the 3 Kanto s
starter Pok?mon. Professor Sycamore will occasionally challenge you to a battle.


Diantha
Diantha is a famous movie star in the Kalos region who also happens to be a Pok?mon Trainer. Diantha will trade Pok?mon with you on occasion.


Alexa
Alexa is the sister of the Santalune City Gym Leader and an aspiring journalist who works in Lumiose City.




Viola
Viola is the Santalune City Gym Leader. She?s a photographer that specializes in Bug-Type Pok?mon.


Grant
Grant is a Gym Leader in the Kalos region who excels in various sports including mountain climbing and bicycle racing. It?s currently unknown where his Gym resides or what he specializes in.


Clemont
Clemont is a Gym Leader from the Kalos region that loves science and has a knack for inventing new devices. He is always accompanied by his little sister, Bonnie. It?s currently unknown what Pok?mon type he specializes in or where his Gym is located.


Korrina
Korrina is the Shalour City Gym Leader. She loves to roller skate and is said to hold the secret to Mega-Evolution. It?s currently unknown what Pok?mon Type she specializes in.



Team Flare is a mysterious organization in the Kalos region. Their aim is to collect money and ?make a beautiful world? by any means necessary. It is currently unknown if Team Flare has a main leader.


Team Flare Grunts
The Team Flare Grunts are easily recognized by their bright red suits and hair color. They are known to use Fire-Type Pok?mon such as Houndour.


Team Flare Scientists
Team Flare isn?t just made up of the many Grunts you?ll find spread throughout the Kalos region. The driving force behind the organization is a group of five scientists each with a very distinctive look. The woman with blue hair is known as Mable. Bryony has green hair and green glasses to match. Aliana can be identified by her orange hair. Celosia sports purple hair and a purple visor. Xerosic has red hair and goggles and is the only male among the group.







Chespin
Species: Spiny Nut Pok?mon
Type: Grass
Height: 1'04"
Weight: 19.8 lbs.

Chespin is one of the starter Pok?mon you?ll be able to choose from at the beginning of the game. Chespin has a hard shell covering its head and back and can use the spikes on its head to attack. Chespin is a very carefree Pok?mon that doesn?t seem to worry whenever its curiosity gets it into trouble.


Quilladin
Species: Spiny Armor Pok?mon
Type: Grass
Ability: Overgrow
Height: 2' 04"
Weight: 63.9 lbs.

Quilladin is the evolved form of Chespin. Quilladin?s shell and spikes have grown stronger and now cover most of its body. It?s said to be a calm Pok?mon that prefers avoiding battle.


Fennekin
Species: Fox Pok?mon
Type: Fire
Height: 1'04"
Weight: 20.7 lbs.

Fennekin is another of the starter Pok?mon available at the beginning of the game. The large tufts of hair protruding from Fennekin?s ears give off searing heat. Fennekin is a temperamental Pok?mon that loves eating twigs.

Ability: Blaze
Height: 3' 03"
Weight: 32.0 lbs.

Braixen is the evolved form of Fennekin. The branch Braixen keeps in its tail seems to calm it and can be used in battle by setting it on fire using friction.


Froakie
Species: Bubble Frog Pok?mon
Type: Water
Height: 1' 00"
Weight: 15.4 lbs.

Froakie is one of the starter Pok?mon you can choose from at the beginning of the game. Froakie can jump incredibly high thanks to its light body and strong legs. The bubbles on its neck and back can protect it from attacks. Froakie is constantly vigilant despite its absentminded appearance.


Frogadier
Species: Bubble Frog Pok?mon
Type: Water
Ability: Torrent
Height: 2' 00"
Weight: 24.0 lbs.

Frogadier, which is the evolved form of Froakie, can now jump even higher than before thanks to its long limbs. Frogadier attacks by throwing stones covered in bubbles at its opponents.


Xerneas
Species: Life Pok?mon
Type: Fairy
Ability: Fairy Aura
Height: 9'10"
Weight: 474.0 lbs.

Xerneas is a legendary Pok?mon that can be found in the Kalos region. The many colorful antlers on its head and blade-like feet give it a very distinctive look. Xerneas’ signature move is a brand new Fairy-Type attack known as Geomancy.


Yveltal
Species: Destruction Pok?mon
Type: Dark/Flying
Ability: Dark Aura
Height: 19'00"
Weight: 447.5 lbs.

Yveltal is a legendary Pok?mon from the Kalos region. Yveltal’s red body is covered in branching black marks and its wings and tail make it resemble the letter “Y”. Yveltal has a new Dark-Type move called Oblivion Wing.

Mega Evolution is a brand new concept in the world of Pok?mon. By Mega Evolving your Pok?mon you’ll be able reach an all new level of strength unlike anything seen before. Mega Evolved Pok?mon can have different stats, abilities, and even type. In order to Mega Evolve your Pok?mon you’ll need a Mega Stone that is unique to each species, a Mega Ring, and a Key Stone. You’ll only be able to have one Mega Pok?mon in battle and your Pok?mon will return to normal once the battle is over. Korrina, the Shalour City Gym Leader, and the Tower of Mastery are said to hold the secrets to Mega Evolution.

Some of the Pok?mon revealed to have Mega Evolutions so far include:

• Charizard
• Mewtwo
• Garchomp
• Venusaur
• Blastoise
• Ampharos
• Absol
• Mawile
• Lucario
• Blaziken

Much like in the other mainline games, there are certain Pok?mon that are exclusive to either Pok?mon X Version or Pok?mon Y Version. The Pok?mon that are exclusive to Pok?mon X Version include:

• Xerneas
• Swirlix
• Clauncher
• Mega Mewtwo X
• Mega Charizard X

And the Pok?mon that are exclusive to Pok?mon Y Version are:

• Yveltal
• Spritzee
• Skrelp
• Mega Mewtwo Y
• Mega Charizard Y

One of the biggest changes you’ll notice in Pok?mon X Version and Pok?mon Y Version is that the games now have full 3D graphics. You’ll be able to explore the world of Pok?mon like never before as you traverse through gorgeous 3D environments and see the amazing character models battle it out on your 3DS.




Pok?mon X Version and Pok?mon Y Version allow you to customize your character’s appearance and clothing for the first time in the history of the series. At the beginning of the game you’ll choose between three preset versions of the player character each with different skin tone and hair color. Later in the game you’ll be able to change your character’s hairstyle and clothing to your liking.




The Fairy type is a new Pok?mon type introduced in Pok?mon X Version and Pok?mon Y Version. Not only will there be plenty of new Fairy-type Pok?mon, such as Sylveon and Xerneas, but many Pok?mon from previous generations, like Gardevoir and Marill, have also been reclassified as Fairy-type Pok?mon. Fairy-type Pok?mon will be strong against Dragon, Fighting and Dark-type Pok?mon but weak against Poison and Steel-type Pok?mon.



In Pok?mon X Version and Pok?mon Y Version there are various changes to the Pok?mon Type system. A chart detailing the new type matchups can be found below.


In addition to the changes to the type matchups, there have also been some other changes to the Pok?mon Type system including:

• Grass-type Pok?mon are immune to Leech Seed and powder and spore moves
  
• Electric-type Pok?mon cannot be afflicted with the Paralyzed condition
  
• Poison-type Pok?mon nullify Toxic Spikes (unless these Pok?mon are also Flying type or have the Levitate Ability)
  
• Ghost-type Pok?mon are not affected by moves that prevent Pok?mon from fleeing from battle.

Pok?mon-Amie is a brand new feature in Pok?mon X Version and Pok?mon Y Version that allows you to interact with your Pok?mon using the Touch Screen on the Nintendo 3DS. Using Pok?mon-Amie you’ll be able to feed your Pok?mon, play with them and even use the camera on the Nintendo 3DS to mimic their movements. Interacting with your Pok?mon in Pok?mon-Amie will make your Pok?mon friendlier and even improve their performance in battle.




Super Training is a brand new way of training Pok?mon in Pok?mon X Version and Pok?mon Y Version. You’ll be able to raise your Pok?mon’s stats by putting your Pok?mon through Super Training Regimens and Core Training. You can also monitor how your Pok?mon have been growing by using the Effort-o-Meter.




The Player Search System, or PSS for short, is a brand new device in Pok?mon X Version and Pok?mon Y Version that has various useful features. Some of the many things you’ll be able to do using the PSS include:

• Use the Holo-Caster to receive messages from characters in the game, special information about people you’ve Streetpassed with, and important updates about Pok?mon X and Y
• Trade and battle with others using a local or online connection
• Access the Global Trade Station whenever and wherever and even trade for Pok?mon you haven’t encountered before
• Use the Wonder Trade system to trade with others around the world without knowing what you’re going to receive
• Battle with random players around the world using Battle Spot
• Send small messages called Shout-Outs to your friends or people you’re connected to locally
• Use and share special powers called O-Powers that have various effects
• Use the friends list to view what your friends are doing and share your Trainer PR Videos with them

The Kalos Pok?dex is essentially the same as previous Pok?dexes except that it has been split into three different categories due to the large amount of Pok?mon in it.




In the past, the only way for your Pok?mon to gain experience from wild Pok?mon would be to defeat them in battle. This has been changed in Pok?mon X Version and Pok?mon Y Version as you can now gain experience from capturing Pok?mon as well. The exact details on this new mechanic aren’t known at the moment.




Horde Encounters is a new mechanic introduced in Pok?mon X Version and Pok?mon Y Version that will allow your lone Pok?mon to face off against multiple wild Pok?mon at the same time. Horde Encounters are usually comprised of Pok?mon of the same species, but may also include similar Pok?mon.

Sky Battles are a new type of battle in Pok?mon X Version and Pok?mon Y Version. Only Flying-type Pok?mon and Pok?mon that have the ability Levitate will be able to participate in Sky Battles. Trainers who want to engage you in Sky Battle can usually be found in high cliffs and other distant places.




At various points in the Kalos region you’ll come across special photo spots where you can take photos of yourself. You’ll be able to adjust many of the settings on the camera such as aperture, shutter speed, and zoom level. Once you have your perfect shot you’ll be able to share them on your Pok?mon Global Link profile page. Another similar feature in the game is the Trainer PR Videos. Visit the PR Video Studio and you’ll be able to make 10-second films that show off you and your Pok?mon. You’ll be able to choose your own expressions, poses, and even background music. You can even use the PSS to share your Trainer PR Video and view the videos your friends have made.




Pok?mon X Version and Pok?mon Y Version have introduced some new modes of transportation. You are now able to use rollerblades to get around. Rollerblades are a fast alternative to the bicycle and also allow you to perform various tricks. The biggest change in terms of modes of transportation comes in the form of Pok?mon you can ride on top of. Whereas before you could only ride on Pok?mon while using Surf or Fly, certain areas of the game will now allow you to ride Pok?mon like Gogoat, Skiddo and Rhyhorn. It’s currently unknown what other Pok?mon you’ll be able to ride on in the games.



Torchic Event

Starting October 12th you’ll be able to receive a special Torchic holding the Mega Stone, Blazikenite. The Torchic will be at level 10 and will have the ability Speed Boost. The event will only be available until January 15th.

Special Edition Nintendo 3DS XL Systems

In celebration of Pok?mon X Version and Pok?mon Y Version’s release, Nintendo has released two special edition Nintendo 3DS XL systems. The systems are available in red and blue versions and feature the two legendary Pok?mon, Xerneas and Yveltal. You can find the special Nintendo 3DS XL systems in stores now. Please note that the Nintendo 3DS XL systems do not come with the game.

Iwata Asks in Motion: Pok?mon X & Pok?mon Y

Nintendo has released a special Pok?mon X and Pok?mon Y-themed episode of the popular interview series, Iwata Asks. The episode, which will incorporate small video clips along with the usual text, will cover various topics about the game's development. You may view it by clicking here.

Pok?mon Bank is a special app which will allow you to easily deposit, store, and manage many Pok?mon from your copy of Pok?mon X Version or Pok?mon Y Version. Some of the many things you’ll be able to do with the app include:

• Store up to 3,000 Pok?mon
• Move large amounts of Pok?mon at once
• Deposit and withdraw Pok?mon from multiple copies of Pok?mon X Version and Pok?mon Y Version
• Use the included companion app, Pok?mon Transporter, to transfer Pok?mon from Pok?mon Black Version, Pok?mon White Version, Pok?mon Black Version 2 or Pok?mon White Version 2 to your copy of Pok?mon X Version or Pok?mon Y Version

Pok?mon Bank will require an annual service charge, but a 30 day trial will be available until the end of January 31st, 2014.

Surprisingly enough, even though I did free shipping on Amazon Canada, which estimates a delivery of 4-8 days, my order for Pokemon X is out for delivery. Um, OK. Stoked!

Now to do something about my 3DS charger, as the cord snapped in half today, due to me accidentally tangling it in the hoover. Dio mio right.

Um quick question, rather n00bish, so excuse me as I've not played since Pokemon Blue, can you still stop Pokemon evolutions, when they're about to change?

I beat the first gym not long ago and decided to take a break. I really don't wanna beat this game too soon, so I'm gonna be taking my time.

My current team is Fennekin at 15, Pidgey at 12, and Pikachu at 11. Pidgey and Pikachu are just temporary teammates until I start running into new Pok?mon I wanna use. Oh, and two Zigzagoon with Pickup, 'cause why not? Might as well fill some of the empty slots with 'em and get items in the meantime.

First Litleo I found was a male. But then I remembered I was going to be using Charmander. So my Litleo is now boxed.

I just finished EV training Charmander. I think I have spent more time Super Training than I have playing the other parts of the game.

I was playing with Fenniken, but then I saw Froakie's final evo. I won't lose much time by restarting, since I only played about an hour. My official playthrough starts now!

BTW, the music is gorgeous. The arrangments are nice (I especially like the scales running up and down in the background), and the orchestration is gorgeous. Pokemon X is awesome.

Just got the first gym badge! Some general first impressions:

This game is GAAAAHHHJESS. That said, I'm still awfully crushed they couldn't pull off 3D in the field or without fps drops during battles, as that would have taken it over the top for me... Maybe in the next iteration/expansion :'<

8-direction movement with Circle Pad feels kind of janky but roller blades are out of control rofl. I think I prefer the latter since it behaves with an analog control scheme, but still kinda sucks you can't "unequip" them or anything after getting them.

I'm also having some issue with my PSS connection getting cut if I close my 3DS or suspend the game and then resuming... Is this common :/? It's more a hassle than anything, not a huge deal, but happens every single time.

I haven't traded or battled through PSS yet but I still really enjoy the feature. Will have to check out EV training, and Poke-mon-Amie is seriously cavity-inducing.

The 3D effect is super lame, and comes with major fps drops. Game Freak really sucks at this stuff. 3D game my ass. Oh well, will just have to stick to 2D... enjoying the game so far, but really disappointed that you couldn't keep the facial hair, only for that video.

Speaking of 3D, during a double battle (2 trainers vs 2 trainers) during the standard game, I could not turn on 3D. I would push on the slider and it just didn't work. I nervously pressed the home button to see if the main 3DS menu was still 3D, which it was. Guess the game is designed to not allow 3D during moments where the hardware is pushed a bit too far.

Also, unrelated, I imagine people have reset for the original Kalos starters, but has anybody reset for the special items that come with the kanto starters? If so PM me as I'm interested in having the other 2 and the one exclusives to pokemon X.

Agh, I really hope the wireless error thing is patched eventually... I tend to suspend the game or close the system to not run the clock but I might just have to deal and leave it open for now

Just tried a double battle not too long ago... was pretty hilarious as I believe it was a first for the majority of us and my teammate got both paralyzed and confused XD Fun stuff, though! I never really battled with other people in Pokemon games before, even with friends, but win or less I found it surprisingly entertaining. I think we'll be trying doubles again tomorrow~

I think I got mine in Super Training. Once you have a fully trained Pokemon, you can do the secret training which also give items.

Either that, or someplace before the third gym.

I just made it to Ambrette Town and finished catching Honedge and Pancham up to the rest of my team, since they were both recent catches. My current team: Braixen (28), Ivysaur (24), Honedge (22), Pancham (22), Pidgeotto (22), and Pikachu (24).

Really loving this game so far. I'm thinking I'll be getting my fossil soon, so I'm looking forward to that. <3

This game is something else...

It is way better than the black and white series in my opinion.
It doesn't try to shove some kind of uninteresting and uninspired story from the 1st moment of the game. On the other hand you have 4 friends that battle you in various patterns and follow you around, being carefree like 10 year-olds should be. It lets you explore the bigger and vastly enhanced environments without having you go from point A to point B all the time and without someone grabbing your hand and leading you somewhere that you will spend the rest 15 minutes talking about boring stuff you don't care.

There is a really happy and carefree tone in this game that the previews generation lacked. There are many references to other games and generations and many subtle jokes that will make you laugh. Heck I even laughed when I battled that team flare member and realized that he is trying to form the F letter with his body.

Last but not least the biggest complaint I had with the previews generation has vanished completely. I hated the lack of variety in pokemon. You pretty much had to pick pockemon from that gen and you had few other choises. This time it's like all the generations had an orgy in Kalos area or something.
For example, this generation's bird pokemon is Fletching. Usually this is the only bird pokemon you can catch at the beginning of a game... WRONG, there a re Pidgeys here as well and later on there are even more birds... The same goes with the normal type beginners. I found a Zigzagoon, a Bidoof, that stupid bunny and many more in just the first two areas. Oh, there are also 3 worm-pokemon in the forest and a Pikachu and all the 3 forms of that monkey pokemon.
These are so many choises even before getting the 1st emblem. This is how pokemon should be and I really like it.

What level is combee supposed to evolve? Mine is level 24 already.

Also Somebody traded me a level 1 fennekin in wonder trade. I thought that was pretty funny.

Only female Combee's can evolve and they do at Lv.21.

at first i had the impression that the map didnt seem so big. but after 22 hours and only 3 badges i realized that it's going to take a while to get around the whole map. it is indeed very large. i absolutely love some of the towns and music.

things i've recently been disappointed about:
surf music is way too boring and uninteresting. i liked every surf song in the previous gens
lack of shoes. i know there will be more later on....but seriously, only red shoes?

let's hope that list stays short.

*sigh* sucks that my weekend ends tonight. going to class is gonna suck. im seriously gonna play this game every second of my freetime.

^Have you been EV training a lot? If not, how do you have 22 hours at badge 3? I just beat the 7th gym and am at almost 17 hours. Badge 2 took about 6 hours, but after that they came fast.

Different people go at different paces. Some people just push through everything whereas other people talk to every person, search every nook, etc.

I'm at 4 hours after one badge, probably because I've been playing sporadically and I've wanted to explore everything and catch every Pokemon. It'll probably take me over a month to beat the game, but like Azure said, different people play at different paces, and it won't bother me at all.

I just looked up how many new Pokemon were introduced this generation... I'm kinda disappointed, but somehow it doesn't seem like it'll detract from the game at all.

Yes, I know that. I have talked to everyone I have met, and searched everywhere except for a couple rock smash/ cut areas. I was catching most Pokemon I found until recently. I have 8 badges and am at 20 hours.

I'm almost at 17 hours and just got my second badge. I guess I'm really dragging my feet, but I've been enjoying the time spent so far, so it's no worries. I just evolved my Eevee into Sylveon, which took quite a while to do through Amie, but it was well worth it. I hope she learns a Fairy move before long. .-.

On my way to get my third badge. I've clocked in around 10 hours, and I have a Pikachu, Frogaider, Pancham, Fletchling, and Pansage all at about Level 26-28.

With the new EV training minigames, I plan on finally raising a competitive team. It's going to be hard for me with the array of Pokemon I have seen so far (don't worry, I plan on using a fresh team). Is there a work around for the Poke Bank?

What stylish clothes do I need to wear inorder to get into the boutique at lumoise?

Lumoise has a reputation system. You have to just do things in town and eventually she will be like "oh your totally welcome in here"

Do stuff like dining and the jobs at the hotel, check out museum, go to cafes, talk to the locals, create a video etc.

What i did to get in is i got the lense case, battled trainers around the city and did all of the things in both the 1 and 2 star restaurants, then i got in.

about 2 and a half of those hours are EV training two Pokemon. I even did about 30 minutes of Wonder Trade and an hour of Battle Spot. Now I somehow feel I rushed the game, because I think my first run of White was ~35 hours. I am using the Exp. Share, so that might account for a portion of the difference.

Since I beat the main game, I am now going to get some mega stones and breed a little.

I've even had text speed max, and turned the battle animations off so they go by much faster too, yet I still have 20+ hour on top and at 7 badges.

I feel like you must have missed half the map somehow. I've taken out just about every NPC in every dungeon / cave on the way (I'll have to revisit some as theres some obvious points of interest that I couldn't do anything with). Just been lax on the wilds

Just one thing I tend to do is always go back to centers to heal / remove status ailments instead of using items.

Man you guys all are fast! I have a few low level 40 Pokemon and just got my 5th badge. I am enjoying the gameplay more than I did 4th and 5th gen, but so far the story line seems lacking to me.

Also, not to ask for spoilers, but would anybody know if the "VS Seeker" or something comparable is in the game? Are trainer re-battles more ruby/sapphire style, or is re-battling just something not in the game?

Another question, regarding character customization,

If you get a "hair cut" is there an option to make your hair longer? Also, you are asked if you want your hair darker or lighter. Anybody know for sure what colors are available? I.E. if I choose back hair originally and I decide to pick 'lighter' will it go to dark brown or all the way to blonde?

I've been to almost everywhere except for some post-game stuff. I battled most people I met. I even had the battle animations on. How long did you spend at the E4? I don't think I took longer than 30 minutes.

I guess I'm just progressing really slowly, then! I'm almost at 23 hours and I still haven't gotten my third badge. I just reached Geosenge Town and my Pok?mon are all around level 30-32 (the starters are 36, I believe). xD

I've been spending a lot of time in the Battle Chateau (about 2-3 hours in total so far), which is a great source of experience and money. Especially if you issue a Challenge Writ! Really enjoying this game though. <3

When I do my playthrough of Y, I am definitely not using the Exp. Share. I have never beat the Elite 4 on my first try, and I only use one revive. My Xerneas beat the one person alone, Greninja beat another, and the last two I needed about two each. The Champion took about 2 Pokemon. In total, about 2 Pokemon got injured, and 1 fainted.

I didn't know the Battle Chateau gave experience. I guess I should try it.

I have been doing Wonder Trades for the past hour. I got mostly crap but I got a heart scale, a bunch of foreign Pokemon, and a Mawile.

I like to level up ALL my pokemon so I'm not very far.

I was going to come here and yell about how few boxes they give us, but then someone in game told me that more are added as you catch more Pokemon, so I guess that fixes that.

The Battle Chateau is a great place to get experience. They may be a little weak at first, but they get stronger as you gain ranks. I believe I'm the third rank now, Earl, ands some of the trainers have Pok?mon around level 30. It might've been a thing that should've been started early, 'cause you're probably gonna wreck 'em with the Pok?mon that made it through the E4. I went in as soon as I was introduced to it and going back every now-and-again, so the trainers have been growing alongside me.

It's an amazing source of money too, since it's filled with tons of rich people and maids. With the Amulet Coin, I now make anywhere from 8-18K from a single battle.

I'm loving the game so far. I'm going to try and catch the rest of the team up to him now. Since Fletching is probably to closest to being level 16(level 9)

I'm 21 hours in and I just made it to Shalour City. I keep getting sidetracked between Super Training, Pokemon Amie, the berry garden, breeding a male Litleo, revisiting areas to use TMs/HMs, revisiting towns for clothes shopping, etc. XD I still need to go back to the Chateau and earn money so I can go back and catch all of the Pokemon I've missed. I love how expansive and diverse the Kalos Pokedex is, and now the game doesn't make collecting badges top priority. There's plenty of other stuff to do; it really lets you move at your own pace.

All of my Pokemon are at level 27. I have a Honedge (Dein Nomos), Frogadier (Kerro), Litleo (Simba), Tyrunt (Rex), Pancham (Poe), and the ever adorable Skiddo (Peter).

On my game, I found some random NPC that speaks only in german. I also saw someone in a hotel that was talking about his region and then he said "nevermind, you'll see it soon enough for yourself." Or something along those lines. Is it already hinting about the next region? I realize the second thing I posted could also be hinting at Ruby and Sapphire remakes, but I don't think they would have the lady speaking German in there for just no reason.

The German speaking means nothing really.

There were NPCs speaking all sorts of language in B/W

First and only Pokemon game since Blue, and loving it! A completely different experience.

Started the game (X) today, after much debating decided to pick Chespin (my highest at lvl 11/12). Other Pokemon I've collected thus far: Pidgey, Pansear, Fletchling and Torchic (via the gift thing).

Sadly didn't get into the game a whole lot as my 3DS battery is almost out, due to my charger being broken, had to stop. Yet to see the Professor so I can pick up the OG, Squirtle. Stoked to get back on, once I've bought a charger.

I was on vacation and I got to play a lot of pokemon while traveling.

Already got my 6th badge.

I have 4 badges in Y, 2 in X. I rushed everything in Y since the 2nd badge, so I am going back and re-doing anything I missed. I only rushed ahead so I could get to route 7 more easily.
