The following is the reason I missed the Pokemon X/Y launch.
Our school had a Game Jam contest where we had to team up with people to develop a video game, within a theme and two random genres, in 48 hours straight. The contest just ended tonight as I'm making this thread. As a coder, I've done that with two other coders and a 2D artist. The theme we got as "the infinity and the void" and we got "tower defense" and "rhythm". So yeah, we had to make a game that uses elements for both genres. That's what we made: StarStep (Windows only) You play the game by pressing the arrow keys (blue = left, green = down, red = right) when a star aligns with its corresponding black hole. By doing combos (getting a series of stars without missing), you generate soldiers to attack the ennemy base, which has towers to kill the soldiers. Miss 3 stars and it's game over. Here is some important stuff:
Also, here's an asset we didn't have time to implement.
Spoiler!
