Default Sega 3D Classics Round 2 in the works

Not even a week after the west got its hands on the first batch of 3D Classics, round 2 has been stated to be in the works for japan! Get your wallets ready! Show M2 and Sega that you appreciate their work!

No say on what games yet. Wonder if they'll go beyond 16-bit era. I hear these games are really hard to work on. Would be interesting to see if they can pull it off.

That is very exciting news. I am interested to see what games are released as part of this line. I will keep an eye on this story.

So, with 8, Sega has more "3D Classics" than Nintendo, at 6. A second series will make the gap even wider.

Ooh, Zaxxon, please.

I haven't really bought any of the 3D classics before, but what do they generally cost?

All of Sega's are $6. Nintendo's range from $5-7.

Great news. I'm hoping for Out Run, Afterburner, Power Drift and Golden Axe.

I just found out that Space Harrier 3-D for SMS is actually a sequel to Space Harrier so I'll second that (I can't stop playing 3D Space Harrier, I reviewed it in another thread). But I still want the arcade Zaxxon in 3D, not the SMS Zaxxon 3-D (which used a straight-on view).

Outrun and Afterburner would look quite neat. Even Road Rash would be nicer in 3D (can tell more easily when you are directly beside another motorcyclist to give him a well-timed whack with your baton ^^ ).

here's some footage of 3d galaxy force ii. you should get it because it's good.
and also because it would increase the likelihood of Round 2 coming to NA.

I haven't played any of these classics.

To those that have, which ones do you recommend?

Great game, one of the better sega 3d classics. I second the recommendation to buy it.

While none of the '2nd round' Sega 3D Classics have been announced for the eShop, North America will be getting the remaster of the Genesis/MD classic Steel Empire.

However, it comes at the rather high price of $30.

Will definitely wait for reviews (and likely a discount as well).
