Hi. I started doing something that sort of resembles pixel art. I've never been good at drawing anything really, but I'm trying to improve. I hope these things don't make you cringe that badly.

What I'm at least proud of in this one is the hair. Drawing hair is a disaster to me, but this one actually turned out fine. However, the lower body was pretty rushed and overall has little to no detail. I guess the head is the main point here.

EDIT/ Goddamn the link isn't working and I'm not sure where the original picture is. Oh well, not a big loss here.

I don't know if this is even technically pixel art, but I tried making a smaller but non-blurry version of the Take That-speech bubble from AA. It turned out pretty good. Here's a gif of it in low framerate.

I haven't watched that anime, is it good?

Also this second one is actually better than the first. I especially like her expresssion. Also the propotions are very well done.

I personally thought it was terrible and overrated. Even for a Slice of Life it didn't have anything interesting to keep you going, I like Hidamari Sketch better.

Depends on what kind of a gif you're looking for. If I made a gif that has around 20 frames that are all done in the style I do these pictures, it would take ages.

But hey, sometimes art does take ages.

Everything went pretty guud until the part where I had to make the gif. Downloaded GAP to GIMP and it still turns out choppy as heck. If anyone has any advice on how to make it smoother and faster, please halp.

Got it. I finally got it. The filesize is still a little bit too big, couldn't figure out how to quickly optimize it on PS CC but I'll live with this for now.
