Default Battery life question.

Hey all, I. New to the forum, and would like to ask a question about the 3ds battery life.

I got mine for Christmas, but have noticed it doesn't ever seem to last long, I charged it over night last night, and played maybe 2-3 hours before it demanded it wanted a charge, is this normal for a 3ds?, another question if I may, is I downloaded a game, is there any way to register it on nintendo club?

Thanks in advance!!

Unfortunately, that is normal. The 3DS family has the extremely short battery life of 3 to 5 hours (5-8 if you're playing a regular DS game). Playing maximum brightness, 3D, max volume, and using Wi-Fi will murder your 3DS battery. Cutting down on 3D usage, using lower brightness settings, and playing with headphones on will extend the battery life an hour or two, but you'll need a battery pack if you want to extend the battery life more. If you have the original 3DS, there's a Power Pak+ that will double the battery life (max of 10 hours), but that's not much.

If you want to register a game to Club Nintendo, you need to link your Club Nintendo account on the eShop, which can be found in the eShop settings. After that, any game you download will automatically register.

Thank you for the reply, it's a shame to hear it has such low battery life, I will look into that power pack. I like the 3ds amazingly fun contraption to play on, especially pokemon y and animal crossing new leaf, so much fun.
