Default Is there a way to use another 3ds's save on my 3ds?

I want to know because if I can, it will fix a problem I have. Is there a program you can use or something?

AFAIK, depending on the game, it's possible to move saves between 3DSes. It's a copy/paste job but requires you to be able to find the saves in Nintendo's cryptic file system.

There are games
it absolutely won't work on though, i.e. Pok?mon X/Y, Animal Crossing, any game that uses console specific encryption and checks.

When I did this, the game said the save data was corrupted. This is exactly what happened. I made a copy of my sd card before I formatted my 3ds. I then copied my old save data back. It told me it was corrupt. What is odd to me is that the save data came from the same 3ds.

If you tell me which game it is, I can tell you exactly what went wrong.

It was actually all of them. Pokemon Y, Animal Crossing(you already mentioned what went wrong there),Luigi's Mansion, Bit Trip Saga, Pushmo,Donkey Kong:Mini's on the move, and a bunch of virtual console games I bought and from being an ambassador.

The format you performed is the problem here. Unfortunately, since you've done this the keys for your system have changed and all your old data will no longer work.

Also I made a mistake above, it's currently not possible to trade saves of any kind to another system. I thought I had read previously that it was for older games, but it turns out that is not the case.

I'm very sorry, but barring the future release of a tool to help with this, your save data is likely gone forever.

there is no way you could do it
unless Nintendo would let you on the next system update
but i guess, its far from reality
