Default Opinions on starter pokemon

Hello guys it's Haji and recently I've obtained all of the starters (for all current Gens , if you want one please exchange FCs) and recently my friends and I have been having debates on whether they are the strongest of their respective types in their respective regions. So people of the internet I ask you to be the tie brakers.

Ps. My FC is 1950-8518-0153 for those starters

They almost always are not. I hope that answers your question.

they are definately not the strongest ones of their types. Some of them are decent (**** Blaziken that's op) but most of them are mediocre in competitive matches.
You 've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?...

Charizard, Venasuar, Blakziken, Infernape, and Greninja are the only good competitive starters.

Blaziken with Speed Boost is the absolute best of the starters - It doesn't even need a Mega Stone to be good. In fact it's so good, people actually banned it from fair play.

Venasaur can be used as mixed tank when in the Sun since its Hidden Ability doubles its speed under it. Without Sunlight, Venasaur is kinda of useless. Its Mega Evolution is one of the game's best walls though if you'd like to use that.

Charizard is similar to Venasaur. Useless out of the Sun. It has two unique Mega Evolutions, both of which are extremely powerful. Charizard X is a premier setup physical sweeper and Charizard Y is a premier special sweeper that can induce Sun on the field.

Greninja is one the most versatile Pokemon in the entire game thanks to its high Speed and decent offensive stats. It's mainly used for its Hidden Ability Protean, which changes its type based on the move it uses that turn. Lots of Greninja use Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, and Hidden Power Fire due to the coverage those moves present, but it has a vast movepool to abuse.

Those are the most used ones. Chesnaught and Infernape actually do carry some competitive niches too. The former is a tank, and the latter is often a revenge killer or lead.

The only particularly bad starters are Samurott, Serpeior, and Meganium. Guys like Swampert, Delphox, and Typhosion can be alright, but are generally either too situational or are just plain outclassed by other Pokemon.

Hope this sorta helps.
