I'm curious as to how some of you who are male carry your DS (or xl if you have one) around town and out to places.
I am completely lost on how to do it without looking like a complete idiot. Not having a purse actually is starting to become an annoyance with the increasing size of electronics. Last edited by curiouscorndog; 02-17-2014 at 05:02 PM. |

Well i'm not a guy but i did have a similar situation since girl pockets are only big enought to put few coins in. Especially being as small as i am. Most boys seem to be able to fit there 3DS in there pocket. This is what the guys do at work, since we work in a electronics store.
But here is my solution: In a mini messenger bag. http://www.amazon.com/Rothco-Vintage...+messenger+bag Small enough that im not lugging everything in the universe. Big enough to hold my 3DS or vita. With my wallet, earbuds, phone. There are bunches of them out there. I just stuck some cool pins on it and that was that.

These suggestions were already mentioned above, but they're the best solutions I've seen used. Several of my guy friends have satchels, backpacks or messenger bags for their jobs. I've even seen more office-type cases used to store their handhelds.
All those seem to work really well. I've known one or two to also carry them inside their jacket's inner pockets when they don't have other means.

When I was in Asia, my mother in law bought me a man bag that I used extensively while visiting tourist attractions. I got so used to carrying my bag around that I felt comfortable enough when I came back to the USA despite some people making fun.
Anyway, I have a bunch of wires and electronic gadgets in that bag including the 3DS. |

I have a small shoulder bag that my 3DS LL fits perfectly into (As well as my cell and wallet), and it looks just fine. When I had the normal 3DS, I used to just carry it in my pocket, as it was definitely small enough, but the LL/XL is just too big for that. If I find a picture of my bag, I'll post it later.

Front right pocket when I do carry it. But then again, I have huge front pockets on all of my pants because I refuse to buy new pants since I dropped 100lbs and went from weighing 300lbs to 200lbs. I even refuse to buy a new belt, I just kept putting new holes in my current belt every time it started to get loose. I wear that belt kind of like a victory I guess.

I really do appreciate all the responses.
If I can ever really justify a man bag, I would certainly wear one. But seeing as how I realize I wear cargo shorts all summer, that is a great way, and inner coat pocket in winter. Speaking of man bags. If you really love your man bag, check out sfbags.com. They have some beautiful leather stuff. Even a ds xl case. Expensive as **** though, some of it. |

This is how I carry mine, I'm not self conscious and I don't care what people think. Sometimes I just hold it in my hand. Not sure what gender has do with how you carry a 3ds XL.

Mine fits in my pants, absolutely. But I was wondering about some creative solutions, if there were any. |

I have a regular 3DS. At school, I keep it in an compartment inside my backpack. Walking through town I usually stick it in my front left pants pocket. I think most people assume its my cell phone. If I wear a long shirt or coat its even less noticeable. I try not to wear skin tight pants (Im too chubby anyways).

I usually carry it in my backpack, or a messenger bag that I use almost exclusively for it. I'm a guy who carries his 3DS XL to where I can, and I don't care what people think; as if they were going to play with it anyways :P.

Inside coat pocket. Since I used to carry paperback books that way (back when I had lots of time to read them), I am already used to shopping for coats that have the requisite inner pocket for the task.
Yes, said pocket really does fit a 3DSxl with Nerf armor on it.

![]() (stole this pic) I just use this bag called a Gamepac. Got the XL and DSi in a front pouch, styluses and accessories in the side pockets, and some DS games in the bottom pouch. Had it since I've had my DS Lite, it's kind of a tough fit for a 3DS XL (and probably DSi XL, don't own one). Most of the time getting it in ends up sliding the wireless or 3D switches. |

![]() The point of having a portable system is to be able to take it with you everywhere you go. That's why I still own a regular 3DS. You can always try the BATMAN route and get a utility belt pouch like these ones that are big enough to hold 3DS XL: ![]() ![]() http://www.amazon.com/Rothco-Black-2-Pocket-Ammo-Pouch/dp/B001KKMIKY/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1394906669&sr=8-11&keywords=utility+pouch

What is everyone talking about, I keep my Pika XL in my front pocket of whatever jeans/khakis/shorts or anything else I'm wearing. It doesn't stick out. I don't have unusually large pockets either, some are actually kind of tight. It works though

I carry my sling bag with me almost all of the time.
So I keep my 3DS in there in a black Hori Hard Pouch. It houses the 3DS, a stylus, three games and possibly the AR Cards. But I don't carry those along anymore. My bag is a Lowepro Passport Sling. It really is a camera bag, but I use it as an everyday bag when I'm not carrying my camera. It has a bit of an odd shape but is really functional. The padded camera insert can be removed leaving you with a roomy messenger style bag. Should you need more space you unzip the back and add about a third of space.

I just keep it in my side pockets. One for the Vita, other for my 3DS.
I'd put it in another bag, but I just can't trust people nowadays..
