Smile Some questions about 3ds

I'm amateur about 3ds but I'm thinking of buying it.

I have some questions for you about this system.

1 - Is normal 3ds screen big enough for you?
2 - Where does my game saves? I mean if I got 1 let's say pokemon x game and two sd cards can I play on 2 saves?
3 - are you using your charging cradle? Is it needed for you?

Thanks, and if I made mistake about posting it here not somewhere else I'm sorry, I'm new at this kind of sites.

1. The sceen is big enough for me though I wouldn't mind it being a little bit bigger. The graphics are crisp though so I kinda like it.

2. The saves, to my knowledge, are stored on the cartridge, though extra data like patches are stored on the SD card.

3. During periods when I use it a lot I also use the charging cradle, usually I just leave it on my desk, so I can charge it easily. It's more of a convenience than a need.

Good questions.

1- The regular 3Ds screen is large enough for me. However I do enjoy the much larger screen on my XL. I have both and have no problem switching back to the regular 3DS.

2- As far as I know all save data is stored on the cartridge. Extra-data, like downloaded songs from FF Theratrythem are stored on SD card. Pok?mon stores it's saves on the cartridge, so you can't have two saves on the same cartridge.

3- I know there are mixed opinions on this subject, but I personally love the cradle. When I had just one 3DS I had it hooked up all the time. Now that I have a XL as well I charge via the cable because I need to switch them anyway.
However, I've ordered a XL cradle from Nintendo a few day's ago. When it arrives I will hook both the regular and the XL cradle up on a USB-Hub and start using the cradle again.
I like the cradles for their ease of use, just pop in the 3Ds and your done.

1. having an XL, trying to plan a normal 3DS seems a bit tougher now. The pixels are more noticeable and overall the game looks worse, but the 3D effect itself is deeper and more noticeable on the XL (and I believe you even hold it a bit farther from your face to get the sweet spot).

2. Saves are stored on carts. And, from what a friend has told me, Digital game saves (stored on SD card of course) are not usable with physical cartridge and vice versa. I believe there is a method of transferring physical saves to digital, but if so I guarantee it doesn't work the other way around. In theory you may be able to transfer your Pokemon X save from the cart to the SD card, but you would then need a digital copy of the game to resume playing it.

3. I'm going to say no I have no desire for a cradle. I always try to only charge my 3DS when its battery is in the red and to avoid playing it while it charges (although Pokemon Y broke that rule...). Of course the XL didn't come with one so I didn't have a choice, but for somebody (like me) doesn't like to leave it charging unless it's battery is dead, the cradle isn't much of a need.
