Default What is your all time favorite console?

Is it one of the consoles you grew up with or is it one of the more recent consoles? For which do you have the best memories? Which had in your opinion, the best games?

I have great memories of the N64, but for the PS3 I have a bigger list of really great games. Not that N64 doesn't have those, but back then I couldn't buy my own games, and because of that I didn't have many.

N64 games I still fondly remember are Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Mario 64 and Donkey Kong 64. I can also remember having a fun time with Banjo Kazooie but didn't actually own that title.

For PS3 the list is huge, but just to name a few: LittleBigPlanet 1/2, Uncharted 1/2, The Last of Us, Metal Gear Solid 4, Demon's Souls, Heavy Rain, God of War III and Ni No Kuni.

So, my favorite home console would be the PS3. For handhelds I really don't remember much. I used to have both Gameboy Color and Advance, but I have no doubt spend the most time on Color with Pok?mon Red/Yellow.

Kinda boring choices, but for me, SNES, PS2 and DS are tops. All of them just have libraries of absolutely insane breadth, I feel like I can keep buying new games for them forever and still have so many cool and interesting games left to get. Some of my favorite games on each respective system, like Super Metroid, God Hand, and the Ouendan series, also rank among my top favorite games. I honestly don't think I could choose a single favorite out of all three.

Just below those three would probably be any Sega system, all of which have super interesting libraries as well, but are a bit more pricey to collect for and whose libraries tend to focus more on certain genres.

GameCube for me. Lots of good memories playing it with friends and cousins. Mario Kart Double Dash and Smash Bros. Melee are the two stand out games for me.

I'd have to say N64 for me. Smash, Mario 64, Zelda, Bomberman, Conker, Banjo, Mario Party, Mischief Makers. That held so many memories for me.

Has to be the SNES for me. Even though its a handheld the 3DS is right up there with it though.I just got a RETRON 3 which lets me play SNES NES and Sega Genesis. And I can still plug the original controls into it Im really liking this system.

How could I have forgotten about Goldeneye. I used to play that at a friends house. Great game.

I don't really have a favorite system, but if I must choose one it would have to be the Nintendo 64.

I don't have a favorite console 'of all time,' my taste in gaming is always changing. My current favorite has been the 3DS for the past year.

Seems like nostalgia is influencing most people as usual. On that note, my favorite console based on just nostalgia is the N64.

Gamecube, because it was my first system that was not owned by someone else in my family. Also because of Super Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, Double Dash, Metroid Prime, Luigi's Mansion, Pokemon Colosseum, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Animal Crossing, Mario Party 7. And the Gameboy Player.
