Smile Finger Typing on 3DS?

Hi guys , as the bottom screen of 3ds is touch so is finger typing possible on it if we use a protective layer also?
I know it might be possible on 3DS XL but what about normal 3DS?

Finger typing is possible with a screen protector, but finger typing on the regular 3ds or xl isn't very effective, I'd stick with the stylus

I wouldn't recommend it, the ds line has a resistive touch screen.

My brother has some of those ^

In short, yeah, you can, but it's a *****. I type 99% of all of my Internet text on my iPod 2nd Gen, and this screen is brilliant, but the 3DS' is a lot worse, and squished than this.

Seriously. You couldn't pay me to use that screen for more than three minutes.

Is it effective, i mean, does it reall serve its purpose
Or its kinda annoying you something sticking on your thumb?

------
i sometimes use also my thumb when typing,
but when the stylus is really needed, then i use it.

i wouldnt recommend it, but i bought two for extremely cheap
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Touch-Finger...-/150566804294

anyways, i can type with my fingers on the 3ds, and it works good. but not comfortable at all, and the stylus does a WAAAY better job.

I sometimes use my thumbs to type on the regular 3DS. (with screen protector)
If you know where to tap, it's pretty easy afterwards.
Just practice a bit.
Unless you have big big thumbs, then just use the stylus.
