My favorite is automatically the ninja because in every rpg ninja/theif is my favorite. I have thing for ninjas...but ninja is also really good. I also love katanas and daggars and ninja is an expert with both those weapons. Having the dual weilding skill is really useful.
My second favorite has to be the spell fencer. Combined with the ninja and the dual weilding, I do a ton of damage. It's honestly one of the coolest jobs. At first I thought that I wouldn't like spell fencer, since I don't like wasting turns adding elements to weapons, but I use it all the time now. Drain and aspir are also helpful. The worst jobs in my opinion are performer, merchant, and dark knight. I first thought dark knight would be a dragoon type and be really strong, but I cant get over the fact that you lose health a lot with the skills. Although, minus strike and life or death are cool. Performer, I have no use for. It just seems pointless. My team gets buffs from specials or other jobs that are more useful. And merchant should be an obvious pick. Not worth putting on any of my party members.
